  Nathaniel is such a lengthy name that I think pairing it with a short MN sounds best. John!

  The first one results in the initials "NAP," which might not be a good thing.

  I like Nathaniel John but it is almost weird because NATHANiel and joNATHAN lol. I think they all sound nice and if I had to choose I would pick Alfred or Donald.

  I am with @Eko14 on this one.  I'd pick Alfred or Donald too.

  I like Alfred because it is unexpected and sounds very stately with a formal name like Nathaniel. John always sounds a bit abrupt to me as a middle name. I would avoid Donald because unfortunately, my first thought when I see that name these days is Donald Trump. Derek doesn't mesh well and Raymond just isn't my style.

  Alfred! We used it as a middle name as it was a family name but I also like that it's just unexpected and while recognizable pretty uncommon

  Thanks everyone! I was like 90% certain it was a boy and NOPE just got confirmation it is a girl (mothers intuition was wrong this time haha). So I guess this is a moot point and we don't need a boys name. (of course because we JUST agreed on a first name and never have agreed on a boys name before) So, now to start over with girls names
