Trying to Get Pregnant

TTW Thursday

Re: TTW Thursday

  • @nwegman7878 - The vet thought it was because he was a rescue and said it should go away. We have only had him for about 3 weeks. I'll try with the more bland food. If it doesn't get better withing a couple more weeks I'll take him back. Something seems to be okay, because he has gained a lot. Maybe he's just eating too much. Since he was accustomed to not eating much. Hmm. Thanks for the advice. We'll see how it works out.
That's very possible. My puppy still over-drinks all the time and makes himself sick, hence why we freeze his water bowl. It forces him to slow down.
Brilliant idea. I might have to try that too. He chokes on the water sometimes. It's kind of adorable, but poor thing.

    @PennStateCait,
TheJerilu is so right. It's a bit uncomfortable at first but there is nothing wrong and scary about understanding your body. Plus, I totally think if you can handle male genitals, you should be just fine with your own.

  •  @ladystinson Love this GTKY question. I love reading about other peoples love stories.
@nwegman7878  I have never heard of feeding dogs eggs to help with their stomachs? Your puppy is soo cute I just cannot stand it!
@canonmom413  Yay for saving money! We need to get better with that for sure.
@msirni0  OMG! That would be so disturbing. I would have definitely cried, I think your reaction was absolutely justified.
@Marley629 Sorry you are feeling down today. This journey is definitely an emotional roller coaster.
@AMGreely  I love your story! That's awesome that you also choose it as your wedding date. So cute. He will never forget your anniversary.
@Becauselove I love that you guys went on a road trip for your first date. You are definitely braver than me.

    Month/ Cycle: 8/8

    CD/DPO: 26/11

    Timing: Doesn't matter now

    Testing: Nope.

R/R/CS: I am feeling much better today, but I woke up to a little bit of spotting and a huge temp drop. Looking on the bright side, I can drink on my upcoming holiday and won't have to worry, but I would much rather have a different outcome. Must not cry.
Looking forward to the weekend and enjoying this beautiful weather. We went on a late night walk last night and it felt amazing.

GTYK: We usually tell people that we met through friends, but I was actually dating one of his friends when we met. The guy I was seeing, we had only been hanging out for a couple months, forced me to go to the bar on a Tuesday night, I didn't really want to. He also forced my now husband to be the DD for the night. So they came to pick me up and DH said it was love at first sight lol. It took longer for me. The guy I was seeing was a total jerk, left me sitting at the table while he drank and danced with other girl. DH and I ended up talking and laughing all night and he even offered to drive me home, which I declined cause I was supposed to be with someone else. Long story short things didn't work out between me and the other guy, so DH asked for my number and the rest was history. For some reason no one thought we would last, everyone thought we were too young, but we are now stronger than ever.

@msirni0 oh no the bunny :( but they were probably so proud

@leksiL Fx for your home inspection! We just went into underwriting and thankfully we got the inspection and WDO. House was infested with live termites all throughout! So it's back the drawing board on that one...

@housewifehobbyist My DH makes fun of my past Spice Girls obsession, I still have all the CD's it's my house cleaning music

Gotta post and run on the rest....still catching up on work from taking off for the honeymoon

    Month/cycle: 8/6

    CD/DPO:35/21 (? possible late O)

    Timing: 0, +2, +3

    Testing: bfn 3/28
trying to hold off past CD 40 so AF doesnt sneak up on me

R/R/CS: These irregular cycles drive me insane....maybe someone can *chart stalk*?
Last 2 cycles were 27 days and 37 days. So it's possible AF is waiting to surprise me. Having my normal pre-AF migraines and I'm sure the house falling through hasn't helped. Had some (tmi warning) light spotting 3/23 that only showed with a wipe but only showed up once or twice...some weird clear CM with bright red stringy stuff in it on 3/27....
Still trying to get myself on a stable sleep schedule, i feel like if I had temps recorded this would be so much easier to decode.
I'm not getting my hopes up as I've had super long cycles before. Hoping I didn't skip AF altogether this month. I'll give it another week or 2 of testing and force myself back over to WTO

GTKY: (Stolen from WTO, unless someone can help me come up with a better one before we get rolling) How did you and DH/SO meet?
We worked together at a country club. We didn't care for each other since I came in and took his bartending position. But started hanging out and once he hit friend zone he had it lol. We've been together 7 years now and somehow have ended up working 3 jobs together, including our current jobs!

R/R/CS: My CH's will probably get moved as I add more temperatures, but that might improve my timing. Either way I'm starting testing in the middle of next week, because I have wondfos for the first time! Might as well use them!

GTKY: My college roommate introduced us.
  • @beary67 thank You. We are actually just going to NY. Husband's family lives  there. Goin to spend week in NYC and a wedding there next weekend. Should be a good time.
  • @beary67 We're going for 10 days. I actually used to live there, so super excited to show DH around. We're staying in a cottage with my parents for a few days (they go every year) and my mom was discussing sleeping arrangements. In the same call, she sheepishly asked whether we thinking of having children soon (we don't talk about TTC). I told her "we were working on it" and she replied "well then you guys DEFINITELY get your own room!" This is the first time I've ever been heading to Ireland and hoping I can't drink in the pubs...

Testing: Done testing, waiting for AF to show

R/R/CS: I had high hopes this month- I thought I O'd on CD15 (according to FF Advanced), had good timing, tried preseed, HIO when I had high/peak OPK, but then temp did not shift until after CD22. I had "low" OPK on CD 18 so I didn't bother to continue using the OPKs. My temp dipped but came back up today, but I've had 3 BFNs including today and I usually get sore breasts a few days before AF but I haven't had any soreness yet. So I'm thinking I'm only 8DPO. For now I've changed my detector from Advanced to FAM. I've only been charting 3 months but all 3 months O day has been different (CD 13, CD18, now possibly CD22). Normally my cycles are between 27-31 days. Thanks for reading my rant, I'm just frustrated with my body.  :s

  • * I've been out of the TWW/WTO loop this month

CD/DPO: FF says its CD 24 and 13 dpo but I don't think its correct. My temps have been way wonky all month.

Timing: not sure...every few days around expected ovulation time, but can't be certain.

Testing: No testing this month. I just don't think its happening this month.

R/R/CS: I had a headache all morning and just realized that I forgot my coffee...doh! DH usually makes it in the morning but he had to leave for a work audit at like 4:30 am.

GTKY: How did you and DH/SO meet? A mutual friend introduced us. I brought her with me to Alaska one summer when I worked at a fishery, and she used to write everyone at home letters (this was pre iphone era, and there wasn't internet because we lived in tents for the summer). Every time she wrote him a letter she would say I had to meet him when we went back home. Eventually we met...and we stayed up all night going through his music albums. It was cute.

I had just graduated high school and my boyfriend at the time brought DH to a party and we had a strong connection right away. My boyfriend and I had split up before I left for college and I ran in to DH my first day on campus. He wanted to get serious right away and I wanted to date cute hockey players and firefighters, but he never gave up and we're still going strong 13 years later.

  • Month/cycle: 4/4

    CD/DPO: CD31

    Timing: CD12, CD13, CD15

Testing: AF did NOT arrive like clockwork Tuesday. Very unusual. Tested Tuesday, BFN, then had to go away overnight and all day yesterday. AF still hasn't arrived and I was going to test today, but I had an OB/GYN appt this morning to go over my CD21 results, and I did not ovulate. So I guess no need to test again, but odd that AF hasn't come yet - obviously not delayed by ovulation, so what's the deal?

R/R/CS: I'm frustrated but ultimately relieved to have my concerns validated. I've been charting BBT faithfully since the beginning of January and have had no clear temp shift, and feel like there's nothing to see with CM. So at least I know now that I'm not just wasting time. Doc prescribed Letrozole to start CD3 whenever AF finally shows so we'll see how that goes.

GTKY: (Stolen from WTO, unless someone can help me come up with a better one before we get rolling) How did you and DH/SO meet? So cliched, but online. I had just come out of a long-distance relationship and was SO READY to date someone who lived in the same goddamn country. I was chatting with 4-5 guys on a dating site, but there was slim pickings in my small town so I had expanded my search to the next bigger city. Problem with city guys? None of them had cars. And I refused to date someone 45 minutes away who couldn't drive to come see me. DH included. He was 'between cars' but I think I made it clear that the no car thing was a deal-breaker and he had a car within two weeks. Told me then that he had been planning on getting a new one anyway but has admitted since that I definitely swayed his decision.

  • @ladystinson so sorry for the cramps, fx for a good outcome.

@PennStateCait All of my fingers are crossed for you!

@Jerilu I love your "how we met" story!!!

@NurseMarie9 That is one crazy chart. It does look like CD22 is your best option though bc of the temp shift. Any other factors at play? Illness, waking at different times, anything? Sorry for the dotted lines.

@Sheshae Yes, please, bring all the booze and chocolate!!!

@housewifehobbyist so sorry for your loss.

@MelissaM90 Good luck and fx for AF? I don't think I have ever said that before on this site, but maybe it is best to reset and start a new? Either way, GL!

    Month/cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 21/9

    Timing: -4, -2, -1, O, +1

R/R/CS: Three things: 1. I can't for the life of me remember how to pin my chart in my siggy and it's annoying me that I haven't had 5 minutes to find the answer. Work is crazy today. 2. My FF membership expires in 2 more days. I don't want to pay for anymore time right now if I won't need it for awhile (fx). 3. **Prevoius BFP mentioned** 9dpo is when I got a clear bfp with DS and I was super bummed this morning starring at that stark white test strip. I know it's early and all, but ugh. I got my hopes up too high for a first time back at it moment.

GTKY: (Stolen from WTO, unless someone can help me come up with a better one before we get rolling) How did you and DH/SO meet?

We met a few times before, but I knew he was someone I wanted to be around for realz after this. We officially met during a hurricane. We were working at the same retail store and were stuck there during the storm. The power went out and everyone was freaked out trying to find batteries and flashlights. Well, about 15 minutes later the power came back on and blasting from nearly every speaker in the store was the hair band hit "Rock you like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions. I laughed so hard, and knew I had to find whoever set it up. The rest is history.

  • Thanks @Megs7911. Seems odd to me to be wishing for AF too but I'm definitely eager to get the next cycle started. BTW, that's an adorable story. Sense of humour in an SO is so important.

@TheJerilu FX for you! Also props for having the balls to check your cervix. Vaginas scare me so checking CM is about my limit but I so wish I could check my CP.
@Pennstatecait NO! Sorry, you got me all sorts of feminist-bodypartlove concerned!  Nothing is scary about your vagina! It's a happy pillow tunnel that just happens to get cranky roughly once a month. No different than doing a monthly breast self exam, just a bit of an awkward angle. It's just as weird looking as male genitals which are just as weird as any body part when you really look at them (have you seen noses?).  I am super into giving body part peptalks.  Me and Leslie Knope are in the same boat for this:  what's cuterus than your uterus (and all of it's neighbors)?

@TheJerilu Bahahaha everything about this had me cracking up! I know... I'm a super body positive feminist too but I don't know... Vaginas, man... they're weird. I will maybe try once... just for you and your awesome parks and rec references and gif!

  •  @housewifehobbyist I’m so sorry for your loss. FX for ovulation soon.

    Sorry to all with BFN’s

@nwegman7878 My lab has a sensitive stomach and it took us awhile to figure out how to handle it. Eventually, we settled on a potato and fish kibble and we have a bowl that is designed to make him drink slower. I’m glad eggs were able to help!

@msirni0 I would be traumatized as well! I think your response is legit. A few years ago, my dog jumped and caught a bird, then swallowed it whole. I’m still not over it.

@canonmom413 That’s definitely something to be proud of! My husband created a budget last year which has been helpful- we haven’t really saved a lot but it has helped us identify where all of our money goes (eating out). His passion for budgeting is driving me crazy though- he has spreadsheets and pivot tables and any time he says “pivot” I giggle and think about the Friends episode. He doesn’t get it.

@ladystinson I love that your DH was feeding in to the BSC. This was my first cycle using Wondfo’s OPK strips and I ended up texting pictures of the strips and asking if he thought the second line was blue enough.

@mrsdee15 Sorry about the expected BFN, but high five to airport drinking.

@BuisnessWife The butterflies were the best! I’d get them from the silliest things. I love that he came to see you sing!

@PepperAT We also tell people we met through friends! It just feels awkward to say “well, I was dating one of his best friends…” I’m glad you were able to find a bright side and will have a chance to have a alcohol, worry-free vacation.

@Winnie81 Did you love Alaska? Hopefully you were in Southeast Alaska, which is beautiful.

@vintageandrea90 The end of the semester is always a relief. I’m glad you were able to get placements you like! I had two practicum placements and they were awful, but helped me get my position at work which made it worth it in the end.

    @Megs7911 Love your GTKY!
