I gained approx 25lb and am down 33lbs.... I'm ebfing and before baby went to the gym daily the whole pregnancy. Can't wait to get back in and start lifting heavy again. I miss my high weights!!! Oh to have my 135lb bench press back.....
Gained 34# and have lost right at 23 as of today 15 days pp. my guy was 9# so I am sure that was a large part of it. I am drinking a ton of water which helps. But I am eating whatever I want. Once I am released to work out the eating will get checked.
I gained 38 lbs and was down 24 as of my 6 week appointment. Was planning to start working out this week but DH is sick and there's no one to watch the baby. Hoping to get back on track next week! Jealous of you ladies who are already down from your pre-pregnancy weight! Was hoping the breastfeeding would help me shed the pounds even faster.
I went from 150 before baby then up to 194 I'm 5 weeks pp and at 170
This is me, exactly! I had a 9lb 13oz baby though, so I lost 10 automatically. I was hoping more would've come off by now! I started doing the new Jillian Michaels new mommy dvd. I'm pitifully out of shape.
@BabySeaTurtles It is okay! I did each of the three workouts over the past three days. I'm actually sore- esp. after the lower body one (lots of squats). It's definitely very modified... I'm thinking I'll do it for 2-3 weeks and then move on to something more difficult once I get my strength and flexibility back! I like that it is low intensity ... I needed something to ease my way back to working out.
@charliegoldengirl I saw a review saying it had modifications for people with a diastasis, is that true? And is it easy to follow? I need to be really cautious because mine was so wide. I'm glad to hear it's a little lower intensity.. I feel like my back and core are so dang weak! (I was never a diligent exerciser, but my job is very physical, so I had decent strength from that).

Jillian (we're on first name basis over here) talks a lot about what not to do if you have diastasis or a c-section - she lumps them together and provides the same modification. There is virtually no jumping in the modified moves and basically none in the more advanced moves. I don't know enough about diastasis to say if the modifications seem legit, but it seems like she has really taken it into account in designing the workouts and instructing the audience.
It it is easy to follow... Although, I have done a lot of group exercise classes so I am familiar with many of the exercises already.
Def low intensity, and I feel like you can even tone it down (or up) a bit depending on your comfort level. Maybe check amazons reviews to get more opinions? There weren't any written when I purchased it but that was because it had just been released that day.
You are supposed to have dumb bells... It doesn't make that clear anywhere in the description. I only have 8lbs which are too heavy for me at this point during ther upper body one, but perfect for the lower body. I wish I had some 3# or 5# for the upper body workout. None needed for the core workout.
I'm 3lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight and so annoyed that I look huge. I literally must have just lost muscle from my arms and legs bc I still look pregnant and like flubber. It feels like my uterus is never going to shrink. Even though I was heavier than I'd like when I got pregnant, I'm going to end up being super skinny with this crazy big belly which is just not cute. I will be 4 weeks PP on Sunday and have no idea how this will go away by 6 weeks. I feel like I'm going to look pregnant forever! C section so I can't workout yet. Ugh!
I'm jealous of you all!!! You all seem to have just lost the weight. I am FTM at 6 weeks pp and have 20 lbs to loose. I gained 35 ( was 120 and got to 155). I have weighed myself a few times in the last couple weeks and it has not changed. I guess this 20 is on me to shed. I'm 39 years old so maybe that has something to do with it? I'm curious if any will come off in the next couple weeks as my stomach looks and feels very squishy. I tried on some of my non maternity pants that are a bit loose generally and I couldn't even get them to button. I guess I need to get my a** moving!!!

@ambdtb I'm about 2 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight, but I can't button my prepreg pants. The doughy/floppy belly is the worst. I feel like that flabbiness went away after a while last time, but I can't remember how long.

I'm down to my prepregnancy weight but my lower abdomen is still "fluffy" and it makes my non maternity jeans look awful. I can technically get them closed but I would never wear them in public. I went to the gym once but my boobs made running super uncomfortable. We'll see what I can do to lose that little pooch
I don't own a scale and the midwives here don't bother weighing you unless they're concerned about your weight, so I actually have no idea how much I gained or what I need to lose.
I'm 3.5 weeks pp and have noticed my legs are definitely smaller. Still have a pretty flabby belly that looks noticeable yet ok-ish in undies or when I wear sweatpants, but turns into a magnificent muffintop when squeezed into jeans. Fabulous. Granted, I am able to button most of my pre-pregnancy pants. The effect just isn't flattering. I'm hoping the tummy keeps shrinking...
@charliegoldengirl I had a c-section so I can't really work out like I would like to. I've been sticking to some light upper body workout but that's all
I gained 85lbs and am down 45 lbs 5 weeks after giving birth. Had a c section, so it took me a while, but I am finally starting very mild exercise to help with the rest of the pregnancy weight as well as ppd.
