Trying to Get Pregnant

Has anyone gotten a BFN 8 days after Implantation bleeding, but still ended up pregnant?

Hi ladies,

I've spent a lot of time reading posts on pregnancy forums, but this is my first question.

My husband and I have been ttc for 5 months, and this month, for the first time, I'm SURE I had Implantation bleeding 6-7dpo. I have never spotted, and this was light (3 drops, exactly), and lasted for about an hour. 8 days later, and still no positive pregnancy test! My period was due yesterday, and still nothing.

Has anyone else experienced this (i.e.taken a super long time to get a bfp after implantation bleeding?)

  • Many of us on this board have never been pregnant. You'd probably have better luck asking this on the 1st Trimester board.

  • Ok, chill out. I'm 35, and I have never spotted in my life. That's why I'm suspicious this time around. If everyone is as rude as you, I can see why people choose never to actually ask a question.

Yes. This happened to me and NOT pregnant.

Like others said you should read the newbie thread and lurk more. Good luck to you.

  • Totes knocked up.  Move along now.

Next time maybe pay attention to the rules of the forum you are posting in.
  • Thank you to those who left kind responses. The rest of you need to calm down. Really. To answer some of the more decent questions, I know my period is late because I am 35, and in my 23 years of having periods, I've never been more than a day late. That's a pretty good track record. Also, I have been using OPKs and temping, so I'm pulling this out of a hat. And, yes, of course you are correct that I can't be sure it was IB. I just wanted to emphasize that I am highly suspicious because it is so unusual to me. I have no previous experiences with spotting at all. Again, thank you to all you kind folks who will be wonderful mothers, and apologies to everyone else for not reading the almighty rules.
  • Eeeesh. Can we try to be a little less scary on posts like this? I get they are annoying but not ling ago i was new. The newbie thread is long. I skimmed it.
It's ok you asked this. Just know most of us have not been pregnant making this question difficult to answer. Bodies do not work like clock work all the time (some are better than others at it). And no two bodies are the same. But i agree. Please consider reading the newbie thread...and please stay! Join. Great group of ladies who are supportive if you play the rules. Also forgiving. I made a mistake when i joined too no one held it against me.
  • I think it means that I will be a mom whose children are not speshul snowflakes who need to be coddled and babied and soothed their whole lives.

Don't misunderstand me, my children will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are loved and they will know more than their share of hugs and kisses.  But they will also know when they make mistakes and when they fall down and get bruised they will know how to pick themselves up and brush off the dirt and keep going.  And they will be cognizant of their surroundings and the environment they are in before barging in and spouting off whatever they feel they'd like to say.  And if they did make such a mistake, because i am sure they will not be not perfect, they would know when to back down and bow out gracefully.

Now would be a good time to practice that graceful bowing.

    Seriously?

Seriously. What's wrong with what  said? I made mistakes too when i started. Read the rules and I'm good now. I just think there was a nicer way to say it. I get these are annoying but i think after 1 or 2 corrections that's enough.
