MBF: I woke up late today. Our normal Monday Morning Meetings at work start at 10. I rushed into the office, got here just in time. I walk through the door: no one's in there because the boss is sick. The boss didn't email anyone ahead of time to let them know the meeting was cancelled. I'm now angry because I could have grabbed a coffee on the way here.

I do not understand how it is so hard to take a f-ing pregnancy test. Open box. Read little paper inside. Follow instructions on paper. Evaluate result. Confused? Re-read little paper. It really isn't that hard.

Why doesn't the US consider Easter Monday a holiday? It's so tough with Easter on a Sunday (and it's ALWAYS a Sunday, not like 4th of July, etc.). I got up at 5 am this morning to get back home from my in-laws in time for work. Just a tad bit cranky.

And the worst part - THE PARENTS who enable their kids to skip the test or even try to make meetings with the principal to complain - like he has any control of it. This is a state mandated test. You'd have better luck trying to make an appointment with the state legislature. Maybe instead teach your kids accountability and responsibility.

MBF: I'm Facebook friends with a woman I grew up with and somehow stumbled across an alternate FB profile of hers where it's really obvious she's cheating on her husband. Because she has pre-teen kids who use FB also, I used a throw-away anonymous FB account (since I didn't want to personally get involved) to message her and let her know "you may not realize this, but this alternate profile of yours and all of the photos and statuses on it are publicly viewable to anyone..." She read the message but the profile is still there.
So many levels of "IDGI" going on there. Cheating on your spouse to start (they just got married less than a year ago!). Then making it publicly accessible... so that your kids might find it.
Also we should all get the Monday after the Super Bowl off. A full third of the country watches it and that game and all the attendant brouhaha goes late!

mrsdaddario I'm sorry you're dealing with those insensitive people. I completely understand. First set of blood work, this women was talking about how her mother had 9 kids or whatever assuming I was getting it done because I was KU. I promptly informed her that I was there because I cannot seem to maintain a viable pregnancy. Also, after my last day 21 blood test the women next to me asked why I was getting bloodwork done. I was over it that day and straight up said I had two miscarriages. She shut up pretty quickly after that one.

ETA: My MBF is kind of along the same lines. I ran into an old coworker in the cafeteria today and she congratulated me on our new house (she saw I had posted about closing on FB) and then proceeded to ask, "so when are you having a baby??" I really wanted to say, "well, it's CD1 and this will be our 10th cycle trying, but thanks for asking!"

Ditto to all the crazies comments. I know it's not Wednesday but....WTF??
Also...MBF to DH. Pretty sure he is still in bed and sleeping on and off. He did work graveyard this week and is trying to catch up on sleep, but he has literally been in bed for 12 hours. And he took a two hour nap after Easter dinner yesterday. And I've been having insomnia like crazy. It's making me mad. Plus he's sucking at text responses. I text him that this cycle didn't work and I was sad about it. No response. No response. (even though I can see he read it) Finally responds with "How do you know?" Oh you know...I asked random strangers on the internet and they told me because that's how it works. (Ugh...) I took a test this morning. "Oh." And that's it. Thanks for the support.

@nwegman7878 I'm sorry you've gone through that too. Good for you that you were able to be so direct with people.
@FSUNole31 I'm right there with you on the will power. The Easter treats don't help.
My MBF is people who don't say thank you. For example, this morning, I was getting into the elevator at the office and I saw three men walking toward the elevator. Although they were quite a ways away, I held the elevator because I'm a polite person. Not one of the dudes said thank you. I get that everyone has their own stuff to think about, but take two seconds and be nice. It makes the world a better place. Politeness police, party of one.

Also I have to go to the dentist tomorrow so I can get started on a treatment plan. I was honest and told them I was TTC and wanted to get my oral hygiene together (it's awful) before getting KU. I'm just glad my dentist is really, really nice and has lots of high tech equipment that makes it somewhat more enjoyable to go. Although inside I'm still pretty much like

@cjt121413 that is literally my biggest pet peeve. DH's as well, and he does not hide it well. Once, I did say pretty loudly " your welcome" to someone who didn't thank me for holding the door open, but I am too meek to constantly call people out on their rudeness.
@meilay I just did that as well, I hadn't been to the dentist in MANY years and needed to get things in order for TTC. Good luck with everything!
