I had two cheeseburgers for dinner and now I feel like butt. I also keep having strong cravings for ham and cheese sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and mayo soooo I've been having them for lunch. Freaking listeria keeps popping into my head so I microwave the ham first. I don't know if it's actually helping but yeah.
@LGW2015@Michi1382 I had a bath the other day and it was too hot and as much as it felt good I forced myself out after 2 or 3 minutes because I knew it was bad. Then I broke down crying in bed because I convinced myself I gave my baby a birth defect (plus before I knew I was pregnant I spent the day with my mom in a hot tub/sauna spa day).
Does anyone still watch Teen Mom besides me? I just watched the season premier from last night and this cast HORRIFIES me, most of them are just becoming bigger shit shows as time goes on. It's so hard to watch!
I'm alllll about Teen Mom (OG and 2). I haven't watched the premier yet, but I have it PVRed. It's so trashy but I love it!
edit - just went to watch it on PVR and it's not there now I have to find it online

I took a "too hot" bath around 9 weeks. It felt amazing. That very night I had some really uncomfortable cramping and I was terrified that I melted the baby. All was well though. US at 11w6d proved that baby had not melted at all. Probably doing the bath thing again soon because it was amazing.
I just spent two hours putting together my first mailchimp email update after being a failure in updates for the past 2.5 years I've lived overseas. Here's to my new commitment of monthly email updates to my supporters... fingers crossed....
Just had to cancel date night with DH at one of our favorite restaurants because my nausea has taken center stage. That means no coconut custard pie, which I have been looking forward to for days and is the only thing that sounds palatable to me right now. Maybe I could have ordered pie as my entree?
I would have eaten pie for my meal! I wonder if there's a way you can order it to go and just have DH grab it for you. I'm doing that with dinner today. Way too tired to function, and he's being nice.
That is a great idea! Well dinner tonight is sorted
This morning my toddler locked us out of the house when I took out the trash! It was my fault for not bringing a key outside with me. I was in pjs, a bathrobe and barefoot, DS was dressed in a t-shirt, pants and socks. My next door neighbor is my new hero as he broke into our place after twenty minutes while letting us sit in his living room to stay warm. The letting agents (who have a key) weren't going to open for an hour. I am a jackass. At least my son was outside with me instead of locking himself in. Lesson learned. I even put a shoe in front of the door so he couldn't shut it behind me so what does my clever toddler do? Moves the shoe and shuts the door. I'm a dumbass. It's been an eventful day and it's the last day of MH's trip to Spain. Of course. Bring on Easter break! (I want a glass of wine and it's only 11:20 and first tri )
@Paturkey ahhhh I'm glad everything turned out ok! Isn't that the worst feeling when you realize what's happened? It's like your heart drops to your toes.
A few months ago, in the two seconds it takes me to walk from the driver's seat of my car around to the back so I could get DS out of his car seat, one of my dogs hit the inside lock and locked all of them in the car. Because of course I left the keys in there. I had to call the police and in our small town, basically the entire police force and the fire department showed up. It was horrifying but they were super nice about it. Lesson learned: keys are ALWAYS with me!
Lol my niece locked my sister and nephew out of the house one day when they went to check the mail, then laid down by the door with her sippy cup and fell asleep. This kind of thing makes me giggle so much, I'm sure until it happens to me in the future
McDonald's iced coffee is better than Dunkin Donuts.
I don't agree with this (grew up north of boston) BUT when I moved to Minnesota I chose McDonalds ice coffee over Caribou any day.
I'm from Boston, too! Still live here. I feel like my masshole card will be revoked, but seriously -- McDonald's (Newman's Own) iced coffee takes down DD any day. DD tastes bitter a lot of the time. This does NOT apply to hot coffee. Dunkin' forever on that front.

I worked at Dunkins all through high school and so I feel like I just have a loyalty card in my heart even though i've been away for 8 years. Hah. (Secretly I'm actually from NH but only 15 minutes to the mass boarder and a town no one has heard of)
McDonald's iced coffee is better than Dunkin Donuts.
I've had McDonald's iced coffee exactly one time, and I'm sure it was more of an issue with the person who made it than the actual coffee itself, but it was disgusting. I think it was like french vanilla with cream and sugar and they just went overboard on the syrup flavoring, cream, and sugar to the point that there was barely any coffee in there.
At the same time, I've seen teenagers load up almost half my cup with cream at DD, so I know it goes both ways.
I just love coffee, so I don't tend to discriminate much. Though it is one of the few times I actually prefer Starbucks (because I can control how much cream/sugar goes into my drink)
@missteacherlady16 - I think it's a McDonald's thing. I have to specify ONE cream and ONE sugar, otherwise it's disgusting. I feel like their regular coffee is sweet enough, so French vanilla might put me into a sugar coma.
@kmalls As a collegiate Bostonian I am not quite qualified but nevertheless I petition someone more worthy to revoke your masshole card immediately. DD 4-Eva!!!
@kmolleltz I've been away from Dunkin' territory for 14 years and I'm still loyal.
I couldnt decide what I wanted for lunch for the longest time and finally made a sandwich and now that I finished I'm craving another one and feel more hungry than before I ate... I think I'm going to have to eat two sandwiches.
I live near Boston and they might revoke my New Englander card for this, but I don't care: I hate Dunkin' Donuts coffee. It tastes like crap, and it's wildly inconsistent so it tastes like different kinds of crap so you can't even decide which crap is least crappish. And their flavored syrups are way too cloyingly sweet and they give me migraines.
I have not had McDonald's coffee but it would not shock me in the slightest if it were better than Dunkins. I am a coffee snob but for large chains I'm a Starbucks girl all the way. It's far from the best coffee out there but it's at least drinkable.

@ammiddleton3 Hi! You posted in the must-haves thread and I'm pretty sure we were S'13 together! Nice to see you! (Didn't want to hijack the other thread).
That is awesome! Yes I was in September 2013! Near the end I didn't post very much! I posted a lot while I was still working, and hung out quite a bit in there, as somedays in the office were soon slow!! Hahah, at home I didn't have internet, so after I quit work, not much more for me, because mobile bumping sucks. Hahaha. I don't even post much in here yet either though Good to see someone with babies from the same birth club! YAY!
@LGW2015 Thank you for replying! I'm sorry for the delayed response. We had a plumber working on our house for four hours yesterday plus I have a super angry teething 15 month old so didn't get on at all yesterday. I'm excited to celebrate my SIL's marriage! I think eloping is awesome and sometimes I wish we would've taken that route as our actual wedding planning was one of the most stressful times in my life.
@rozANDbenSINCE2001 me and DH eloped and we are actually having our wedding celebration or whatever you want to call it, 2 april 2016. I wasn't planning on being pregnant for it so I'm just hoping my dress still fits. Though we're doing this tanzanian style so I probably can't be much help
@kmolleltz That's so exciting! Congratulations to you both!! April 2nd is coming up! I'm sure you'll look beautiful!
Yeah, my SIL is the first person I know of who has eloped and she asked for help with her reception, but I wasn't sure how to approach it. My MIL wants a giant huge formal reception, but I thought a fun, semi-formal party with her close friends and family would work as well. SIL hasn't said which she'd prefer, but whatever it is, it will be a great celebration, I'm sure.
Thoughts on spanx/shape wear at 12 weeks pregnant? I'm in a wedding this weekend and while I don't have a baby bump, I'm feeling blumpy thanks to all the carbs and sugar I've been eating. Assuming they're even comfortable to wear, would spanx be safe? Don't want to compress my little bean too much!

@smmatt08Spanx will be safe, just hella uncomfortable. I wore them to a wedding when I was 15 weeks pregnant with DS and those suckers came off the second the ceremony was over.
@kmalls haha thanks! I assumed they're not going to be comfortable but if I feel prettier wearing them for pictures and the ceremony then I'll probably suck it up so I don't have to suck it in!
@smmatt08 I can't bear the thought of putting on spanx! If my Snoogle presses my stomach too much at night I practically have a panic attack. (I've had to adjust to using it on my back side instead.) Hopefully you survive! Lol. I totally get why you would subject yourself to that torture though.
I ate about 5 kosher pickle spears and some chocolate for dinner last night. I say frozen yogurt is an absolutely acceptable dinner.
Oooh! You just reminded me that I bought a jar of pickles last night!
Yes!
I hate sounding so cliché about being pregnant and craving pickles, but I legitimately have always loved pickles and this is not my first dinner that has consisted of nothing but pickles and pickle juice.
My poor husband made us lasagna too, and forced me to eat some, but I only managed a few bites before I was like "nope. sorry. give me back my pickles."
