@KarenBeth714- so happy you were able to get a little break from reality. Keeping you in mind today/tomorrow for the news to come in.. I can't imagine where you're at mentally but I'm sure it's incredibly difficult. Stay strong, we internet strangers are here to entertain/distract you as much as we can.
KarenBeth714 I hope the news comes in soon for you - I'm glad you were able to get at least a small break this weekend. Hope you can find lots of ways to occupy your time today, binge watching a TV show helps time pass quickly for me.
@KarenBeth714 Thanks for posting the update, I had been wondering how your weekend turned out!! I'm really glad you were able to get away for some distraction. I hope you hear back from the genetics counselor very soon and that the news is great!
@KarenBeth714 I'm glad you were able to get away and relax for a bit. I'm hoping you hear something soon. Please keep us updated on how things are going.
Nausea has finally lifted in the 15th week but has been replaced with constant indigestion!!! That mixed with the still on going metallic taste is about to drive me absolutely bonkers
I am 13w4d and have a UTI. Bah. I think the antibiotics might be giving me a yeast infection but am hoping that's just in my head. I started weaning myself off Diclegis last night (took 1 pill versus my normal 2) so I'm hoping that will go well. I stopped being sick with my daughter around 14 weeks, so am hoping it's the same this time.

Ugh yes on the indigestion. I have constant heartburn and gas, even with taking my daily Pepcid.

Does anyone else get full really really fast while eating? I feel like I have to eat meals over an hour or more just to be able to finish. It's frustrating
I haven't been gaining much either @Thscary but I think you're only supposed to gain 5lbs in the first trimester. I don't know my starting weight, but I think I gained 3lbs. And I didn't have any sickness either. You could speak with your doctor about it if you're concerned - I am sure they can provide some advice. Good luck!
@Thscary Just had my 16 week appt yesterday and hadn't gained any weight since the previous appt. In fact, I lost a bit in the first few nausea-filled weeks and am still 3 lbs down from my pre-pregnancy weight, according to their charts. My doctor mentioned it but with no concern at all. She said to expect some weight gain by my next appt (20 weeks). If you're eating well and taking care of yourself and baby, I wouldn't worry about the lack of weight gain for now.
It's u/s week! Super pumped to see my little bean at 13 weeks. It feels like it has been forever since our last date.
So I've been feeling ALOT better as compared to the last few weeks, but my skin has been SO itchy. I am using lotion and oil based products to keep myself moisturized, but I have been finding that my thighs get so itchy that I scratch until it feels like the deep tissue is bruised. I have weird sensitive skin to begin with- no idea what it is or why. I have a little dog (8lbs maybe less) that walks across my legs sometimes, and it hurts my skin!!
Also, my nips, are soooo itchy, I just want to leave a hand in my bra all day to scratch them. lol Also, I am having the crazy leg pains, it feels like my legs are growing longer. Anyone else experience this?
@rissarox7- I don't have leg pains but I did have terrible leg cramps with my last pregnancy, woke with charly horses on the frequent.. so miserable. This time I've been having what feels like restless legs in the evening when I start to get really tired.. it's not painful but incredibly uncomfortable to the point that I want to jump right out of my skin. Hoping it lets up!
@AnnaS930 I have the sore/restless legs in the morning, within about 3 hours of waking up... Lasts for awhile. How long do they last for you, and with your last pregnancy how long were your leg cramps?
@rissarox7- Luckily the restless legs don't keep me awake, so they last about an hour in the evening (sometimes shorter if I fall asleep earlier). The leg cramps went through most of the 2nd trimester.. but I'm prone to leg cramping even when not pregnant so not sure how much of it was pregnancy related. I brought a banana to work today to get some potassium in to see if that would help but just have no interest in eating it.
Had morning sickness for the first time in a few weeks yesterday, but it happened on an airplane that was like 80 degrees inside after drinking a cup of black tea and no breakfast with only an hour of sleep the night before , so maybe ill chalk it up to all that
My constipation has eased up as I got into the first week of the second trimester... is that normal? Boobs are still aching like hell, but I've been more regular otherwise. Oh, and hungry constantly!
@AnnaS930 I've had restless legs for as long as I can remember -- and it's definitely gotten a little worse with pregnancy. Like you, it tends to come on in the evenings when I'm really tired, or also on long car rides/plane rides. It's so uncomfortable, I always describe it like I feel like I have ants crawling through my veins! I haven't found anything that really relieves it, so if you do, let me know!!
So I no longer feel the need to get up and pee in the middle of the night. Is that normal for second tri? Sometimes I get up once but it used to be 3-4 times. I'm not complaining but just curious if others are experiencing this too.
Married: 3/21/15 First time mom to a human but have been a puppy mamma for over 12 years
@blondie080300I've heard it's pretty normal for the need to constantly pee to taper off a bit in second trimester. I've been noticing the same. I'm taking advantage of it while I can because I know it's only going to get worse again as this baby gets bigger and bigger!
@blondie080300 Same here! I use to go 4-5 times a night, last night I went once! It was joyous. I'm still getting enough water, so I'm taking it as an unexpected reprieve and enjoying the extra Zzzz's.
I've only lost a pound, but the difference is really noticeable (to me, anyway). My bump is smaller and less swollen looking (it was looking a little like someone inflated it with a bike pump and now it looks like a nice, tapered baby bump), my fingers are skinnier (my rings were starting to hurt, but now they're borderline loose) and my feet and ankles don't look puffy anymore.
Seems a little late to me to be happening at nearly 17 weeks, but I guess it's normal?
It's nice not feeling like a balloon, but now I'm paranoid because of my bump suddenly being smaller. Realistically, I know there's only one way out and I'd know if one of my LO's had gone somewhere, but it's still unnerving.
I've been sleeping a bit better as well - I was having trouble making it through the night without getting up to pee and I haven't had to in weeks (lucky me!)
Unfortunately I have started getting a few headaches, especially when standing up quickly. I'm super hydrated... must be that baby stealing my bloodflow. It's nothing I'm concerned about, but it's a bit unpleasant.
Skimmed through what I had missed and see there has been lots of pee talk. But does anyone else feel like they have to pee RIGHT NOW and then get to the bathroom only to pee a moderate to smal amount? I don't remember this last time. Maybe it's a STM thing? It's super annoying.
@Sporty1216 I had that a lot with my last pregnancy but not this one...yet, anyway.
I, meanwhile, am seemingly totally fine...no need to pee...then stand up from my desk and realize I have to pee so bad I might not make it. What's up with that, body? A little warning would be nice! (Especially because I'm usually standing up to go to a meeting or to answer someone's question...it's like, "Hold please, my bladder suddenly calls."
I have recently started getting migraines accompanied with nausea almost daily. It makes it so hard to get things find during the day. Anybody have any advice?
Sore boobs. Can't fall asleep at night even though I'm exhausted. Still suffering from ms while taking diclegis, will be 14 weeks next week so keeping my fingers crossed it'll subside soon. Maybe tmi but I have so much more mucus/boogers/snot than ever. Not an allergy sufferer so it has to be pregnancy related, right?!

It happened literally overnight for me. Now I'm just hoping it doesn't come back with a vengeance.
