I seriously thought about posting this as a "RIP Belly Button" thread but I'll just post it here instead because I too, like @deepaddy24, have not learned the proper etiquette for posting my randoms in separate posts.

    Dear Belly Button Indent,

You put up the good fight.  With admirable courage and conviction you found against the little alien invader encroaching on your space.  You fought and on March 17, 2016 you lost the battle (but not the war).  Your fight will not be in vain.  You will be remembered and your story told for years to come.  RIP Belly Button Indent...until June.

    With love,

    Your Owner.
    Actually ded.

    Ugh that sucks @CourtJack

I feel like I'm more worried about the possibility of having to do the 3-hour test than I am about the possibility of actually having GD. Someone invent a less shitty test for this plz.
If you are worried then just start two or three threads about all the possible things that could happen:
    1. "I feel like I'm more worried about the possibility of having to do the 3-hour test"
    2. "I am worried about the possibility of actually having GD"
    3. "Someone invent a less shitty test for GD plz."
    4. "Does Yolanda Foster really have Lyme disease?"
    5. "How old is Erika Girardi of the RHOBH?"
    6. "Poll: Who is better Lisa Rinna or Lisa Vanderpump?"
    7. "GD Glucose Challenge Hack: using a Twizzler as a straw to drink the Glucola"

Oh sweet jesus. I might just hire you to make me laugh for the entire two hour test that I now have to take :) I'll poll everyone in a separate thread to see what they all think about that.
Oh good- Add this to your to-do list: please take a poll on bunkbeds for brothers sharing a room:

    • Thinking about keeping DS in toddler bed until newDS is 6 months old and ready for crib, then we will buy bunk beds.
    • What that might look like:
@Palisson  Bunk beds mean more room for activities!
  • So they told my friend (29 weeks today with twins and being monitored in Labor & Delivery) that they wont stop her labor.. shes going on bed rest but if her body naturally goes into labor (which they think it is because of her shortened cervix being at 1.2 now) that they will let it happen. I'm so nervous for her!!

  • @MillerMama13 same- ninja fetus. how is he able to chop on one side and kick on the other? DS1 was never this stretched out and fighting the uterus as this one is.
  • Ok, so I was just outside doing car-line after school.

Little boy: "Hey you still got that thing in your belly."
    Me: "Oh! Yes, I do!"
Little boy: When does it come out?"
    Me: "In about 3 months."
    Little boy: "What day?"
Me: "I don't know what day, exactly."
Littke boy: "I sure hope you take care of it."

I love being pregnant around kids. They are so funny!
Oh no, I was planning on gestating for 9 months and then just keeping the baby in a cardboard box and not taking care of it, duh!

I will agree that kids are hilarious.  I had a 6 year old in my camp group who asked me how old I was (I was 15 at the time) and then  responded that I was old and better get married and have babies soon because my time was running out.  Gotta love the nonsense that they come up with .

    oh- don't worry yourself too!

It is very distressing to think about, but she's at the right place in case she gives birth.

A cervix can be really short and still stay closed! I will cross my fingers for her cervix to stay strong!
  • So I never really believed in "baby brain" too much until I found the Tostitos in the fridge this morning.
Thats the only logical place for such items.  Why else would my taco shells be in the fridge unless corn based crunchy foods were supposed to be there?
  • @Palisson thanks I'm not stressing myself I'm just kind of in shock that at 29 weeks they wouldn't stop labor (I'm 26 weeks tomorrow) I know its different for multiples since they expect them to come a bit early but it just seems so soon!! And I do feel bad for her shes been texting me freaking out from the hospital because they just kind of hooked her up to the machine to monitor contractions for a few hours & didn't tell her much which of course is anxiety provoking.

  • You ladies have brightened up my very stressful afternoon. Thank you.

Also, this star***** chick who keeps posting new threads and never responds....is there a way to block someone from starting new stuff? Because there should be.
That is exactly what I meant when i was complaining in the UO today.

Is she dilated at all?  Or contracting?  A cervix and even dilatation can stay the same for awhile.  My cervix has been at 2.8 about for a few weeks now.  Statistics are very good once you get past 28 weeks so 29 is good!
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI!
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!

She's started a few on the third tri board too, SO MANY THREADS.  She does reply on some of them though, but never on anything but her own threads from what I've seen.  I get wanting feedback on things but sometimes you just need to put on your big girl panties and make a damn decision on your own...

How does anyone have that many questions? I've started one thread so far in this pregnancy

I have a question for you ladies. I'm currently applying for part-time/at home contract jobs. I will not be taking mat leave (I know that's crazy - I'm a STM, but my husband will be taking the leave this time because he'll get paid for it and I wouldn't). Question is, should I acknowledge my pregnancy when interviewing and talk to them about how I expect it to be minimally disruptive to my work? Or just wear a loose dress and not mention it? I feel like I'm at a point where my pregnancy is very obvious to those who know me but I might just register as fat and unfortunately proportioned to strangers.
  • @emztron500 I would personally want to bring it up, but I am also very uncomfortable with my body image while pregnant...so I would just want to air it all out at the beginning and go in with a plan to tell them as you described above.  I am one that appreciates upfront and honesty, even though they can't ask you about it.

  • @Emztron500 - You aren't taking any leave at all?  Like going back to work the next day?!?  I would imagine you would need some recovery time so I might mention it if you do.

Because I work part time from home I don't really have to physically "go" anywhere to work, so I don't think it's too unreasonable to think I'll be able to carve out a few hours to deal with anything essential even a few days after birth. I don't necessarily work every day anyway.
  • My old BMB (Nov '12) used to start "Ask Me Anything" threads. It was like truth or dare minus the dare, and they were my favorite threads ever. I wish someone would start one here. It's what I miss the most about my old long dead bmb. Then again a truth or dare thread would be awesome too. If anyone would be brave enough to start one, I'll 'love' anything and everything you ever post for the next week.
    Do it! I dare ya!!
My old one had a "stupid questions thread" that was very active and useful

Lol, these were not the least bit useful whatsoever. It was intentionally dumb and embarrassing questions.

I would tell them.  I think it's a good opportunity to bring up your plans of your husband staying home and how you aren't planning on taking maternity leave (not that it's any of their business!).  They might realize you're pregnant and not know how to approach it.
  • So much happens when my bump won't work for 7 hours! I'm gonna be on here all night! I was gonna clean house, but..
