So we (finally) posted something on FB about me being pregnant because we're the world's biggest procrastinators ever, my mom and MIL both shared it pretty quickly. Is it bad that I'm a bit irritated that my MIL has more likes on the one that she shared than we do? Like, a LOT more.
@Sgoldberg247 I understand not being too happy about that, it's your news! But I'm sure it's just because most people in your life already knew the news so the FB post was a formality but maybe her friends/network didn't know? Chin up! When you post those first baby announcements/pics you'll get tons of love!

Fair point! Just weird irritated and the sinus headache I have probably isn't helping matters. Thanks for letting me know that I'm not totally insane

When we initially shared we got 90 something likes and my mom got nearly 200. I was irritated about it forever. Ha! Also people kept commenting "congratulations grandma!" and I was like HELLOOOO. I obviously never said anything but I'm pretty sure H thought I was certifiably insane.

That was a huge pet peeve of mine with our wedding photos, all her friends were commenting on how great she looked and it totally stirred up the petty part of me in that it was MY wedding day, where are all the compliments for me??
K. That response makes me sure we are being punked by May.
I didn't open the thread after this morning Bc I figured it was a support discussion for our gals btwn the 1-3hr tests. I think a GD checkin (a real one) would be a good idea.
And so much yes on the many-thread poster (probs also may).

Glad I'm not the only one who reacted this way
I'm quoting the last one I see. The way a see it---moms/mil generation is way more active on FB than most of my friends are now. Most of us have grown out of it, but the older generation is very much into all things Facebook.
There is a 20 year age gap between me and my counterpart at work and all she does is say what she has seen on Facebook.
And im just like, but have you seen these tater tots?

Ugh I hate when I get on here and think of responses to a million things but by the time I'm on it's wayyyyy past the topic lol.
@MsBeachNJ I will continue keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. The waiting I'm sure is excruciating
@shannonrnbsn I absolutely LOVE that gift! It's amazing lol
Briefly on the gun topic: H and I are both CCW license holders. H carries more often than I do but usually only if we go in a sketchy area (we live in Columbus, OH so there are some not nice areas). He also carries if we go somewhere late at night. We've been doing grocery shopping on Friday nights (because we're super cool) and it does make me feel better knowing he has it especially since it's dark when we're loading and unloading the groceries from the car. I've carried a couple times but that's about it. We went to a restaurant to watch a UFC fight a couple weekends ago and I carried it because I wouldn't be drinking and I felt safer with it just being around a bunch of intoxicated people watching a violent fight. I hope and pray we never ever have to use a gun but sometimes it is nice to have.
That being said when we're at home the guns are kept in a safe, in a not visible place, and only H and I know the code to it. We feel safe in our neighborhood and don't feel we need it by the bed and hope that if an intruder came they would either 1- hear the dog and leave or 2- the dog would give us enough warning for H to get the gun from the safe and me call the police. If we ever wanted it loaded by the bed we would get a small fingerprint safe to keep in the nightstand that only H and I would have access too. I think it is extremely important to be smart, responsible gun owners!
K. That response makes me sure we are being punked by May.

*is lurking again because thanks heartburn I was really hoping you'd keep me up tonight NOT*
Wait, we're punking you? How did I not know about this? Should I also be posting entire threads where I pretend to be creating a supportive environment but actually use it to brag about myself?
(Don't know about the many-threads poster because I don't lurk that much [though we def have one or two of those on our own BMB], but I don't think the person who started the particular thread y'all are discussing is from May. Or if they are, they aren't a regular poster...while I do think we should definitely get y'all back for bombing us, I'd like to think that our regs are better than that.)

Ugh. Actual crazies. Less funny and more obnoxious. Haha.

Totally going to AW myself. I received this at my church baby shower from one of my closest girlfriends. She made it herself, which is much more than I could do. And I think it's HILARIOUS!
This sign is amazeballs. Can she make more and sell them to us?!
Ugh. Actual crazies. Less funny and more obnoxious. Haha.
We were actually discussing something like this in May recently...there are suspicions that certain posters aren't actually pregnant, and they are just here for the drama. Not saying that this is the case, but yeah. Crazies. Ugh.
@mrsb8214 I'm from Columbus and moved to the Chicago area when I was pregnant with our first 4 years ago. I miss it. And right now I really miss City Barbaque and Rita's.
@dennyandlee--no, you are not alone. If I could keep our air set to 65 or lower I totally would. Last time I was pregnant we lived in a hotel for a few months and I kept that room so cold hubby wore a coat or sweatshirt basically all the time and I was in shorts and a t-shirt comfortably.
@sgoldberg247, we still haven't said anything on Facebook. I think at the point we are just going to wait until I have the baby and post about it then. However, I'd be mad if my MIL got more likes then me, although some PP have some good ideas as to why that happened.
I cant remember who else I was going to reply to.
Is it sad that this is basically the only post I really keep up with anymore? Well, this and my weekly ticker change.

That has happened to me, too! I also get annoyed when mutual friends (like family mostly) like her post but not mine.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
Pregnant on St Patrick's day...at least we can still eat lucky charms!
This is the third (AND LAST!!!!!!!!!!!) St.Patty's day that I've been pregnant for. I just pretend it's not happening and wait until next year. I feel a bit smug (and therefore happy) the following morning when I'm bright-eyed and bushy tailed and everyone else is feeling like a$$. But still - that's only a small consolation.
----------stuck in the box----------- Thank you!! I've been trying to figure out how to say something but didn't want to come off as the thread police so I didn't.
But are you the thread police? You have to tell us if you are, it's the law.

@shannonrnbsn I'm totally considering turning that sign into a subversive cross stitch for my nursery.
Subversive cross stitching is my favorite.
Years ago my sister had a son on the way and they were decorating the nursery in "pirate" theme (but not skull & crossbones- more cutesy.) So I did a series of 4 tea stained cross stitch scenes in 12inch hoops of the four Whale Wars boats. I even had the Ady Gil cross stitch depicting the boat in its broken state.
I am the sweatiest, hottest person on the planet right now!! Anyone else??
I'm the exact opposite. I'm freezing all the flipping time.
So- have you had different personal temp scenarios during each pregnancy? Last pregnancy I was so bloody hot all the time and this time I'm cold all the time. My partner is like- "who are you" every time I say I'm chilly.
I'm the girl that lived in Santa Fe for 3 years without once turning on the heat in my casita. I used to never get cold.

Plus, she's a lawyer, so she knows stuff.
Please edit your post to reflect that I know EVERYTHING. I'm faxing a copy of my degree over now.

my random: picked up a nail in our brand new tires. They are not sure if it's fixable. Happy St. Pat's to me! Where's me luck o' the Irish?

H: Hey there, did you sleep ok?
Me: Hrmph, grumf, grumble. Yep.
H: You're not wearing green *pinch*

I couldn't extricate myself from my pregnant lady pillow nest fast enough to swat him before he bounced away like a damn leprechaun. Grr.
