So I was listening to the radio the other day on my way to work and the discussion was all about cereal. They were having people call in and tell what their fave cereal was and could only pick ONE.
Since I have been KU cereal has been my snack or dinner if I'm feeling lazy.
DH and I disagree big time about our cereal choices and the whole discussion made me laugh.

I was curious about others so...as a late GTKY:

If you could only pick ONE cereal to eat for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Mine would be multigrain Cheerios as boring as it sounds , that shit is delicious.

DH said hands down Golden Grahams.

    Reese's Puffs for sure!

  • The cereal question seems impossible to me. Maybe Honey Nut Chex or Cocoa Puffs.

Hmmm oatmeal might be in its own category but I love strawberry oatmeal :)
  • Golden grahams cereal all the way!!!

I just stain cleaned and vacuumed my living room, including the shaggy rug, and I'm sweating like I ran a 5k. I don't think I've ever been so out of shape in my life. I can't wait to get back to normal activity!!!

After I drop my dog off at the groomer I've gotta do our floors being that I didn't do them on Sunday like I usually do.
It's all hardwood so I vaccume them mop a total of 2800 sq feet. This never used to be a problem and would only take an hour with the trim but I have to stop and sit every 15 min and by the time in done my back KILLS me ( plus it now takes an extra 1/2 hr at least )
I totally know how you feel and I can't wait until I'm allowed to work out again.

Rolling over and getting out of bed is the hardest part lately for me.
I seriously have a hard time sitting up and rolling over is a fiasco.
If I lay too much on my side/belly she kicks the shit out of me till I roll farther on my back

Me too, and I feel like I lost all my stomach muscles. It's as if I had no idea how much I used them until my belly started growing and everything has just become harder and harder to do
  • It's totally a tie (current condition) between Peanut butter crunch and regular Cap'n crunch.

That's the hard part! Choosing one is crazy difficult
IMO captain crunch 100% over peanut butter crunch
  • As for cereal ... I can't imagine just picking one!!! I don't eat cereal often but the one I get a craving for more often than not is Captain Crunch... I love to hate the film it leaves on the roof of your mouth! Thankfully DH isn't a fan, so when it's in the house the whole box is mine!

I feel like they cut up the roof of my mouth when I eat them .
  • I want to eat cereal more but it has like 2 calories a bowl so I get hungry again in like a half hour. They need to make adult cereal that actually fills you up.

I can't play this game because a few years ago, I discovered the deliciousness that is mixing cereals.  I only eat a bowl with just one type of cereal in it if it's the last of the box and I have no other option. I especially like mixing a somewhat healthy cereal with a not-so-healthy option.  Currently, I am eating half multigrain Cheerios and half Cinnamon Toast Crunch (the Mother's Best copycat, which is delicious.)

Favorite combo ever is Frosted flakes mixed with Special K red berries. <3

    No.

I do love oatmeal as well, but no.
  • I'm all about he Cinnamon toast crunch!

My first thought was Honey Smacks for sure. Then, I went to Honey Bunches of Oats. Torn.

Ahhhh Honey Bunches of Oats is the one I've been eating all pregnancy! I don't think I'd ever eaten it in my life before then.

  • I miss Oreo Os cereal :(
  • Oh lord, now I really want cereal. Captain Crunch (preferably with crunch berries!) Frosted Flakes for me, please! Or, once in a blue moon, Frosted Mini Wheats.

That said, I have no cereal here right now, and getting some would require not just getting out of bed, but an actual trip to the grocery store. Is it worth it?
  • I honestly don't think I could choose just one...I guess Honey Nut Cheerios wouldn't get old too quickly but sometimes mama just wants some sugary goodness!
  • I miss Oreo Os cereal :(
Oh man... I miss those too...
  • Damnit now I am super hungry!! Cap'n Crunch has been my go to this pregnancy.  But now I want to try the peanut butter crunch.  Adding it to the grocery list for tonight!

    Me three.
    So so good
  • You know what I love? This may be a UO but I love Kix. Why are they NEVER on sale???? (or is it just my area?) They are always pretty pricey and I haven't found an even decent generic.

I'm really enjoying this cereal talk....
  • I'm going to go kill a doctor. BRB. Punk cancelled my appointment for next week a few hours after I emailed him about my back/hip pain. I just want to know if there's anything I can do to make it better, you twatwaffle!

    Reese's Puffs for sure!
Reese's Puffs have been my go to lately too!
My DH loves these. I've made Rice Krispie treats with these instead of the actual Rice Krispie cereal and they turned out freeking amazing. They got crunched up a bit when I stirred them with he marshmallow but still good.
works with Golden Grahams too but I add chocolate chips to the mix to make them little s'more squares.
um ok now I want to make some
Omg I think I need to try and make them! Maybe I'll send DH out for more!
  • I went for my "36" check up today. Good news is.. He's growing well! Bad news (for me) is the doctor believes he is already over 8 lbs.  :'( ouch! And after my pelvic exam she said "I've been known to cause contractions!" I was only dilated to 1, and 50% effaced.. But have had some seriously strong contractions since, and went to shower for work and have what looks like bleeding at the beginning of a period. (Light, but still needing a full sized pad.) I called the nurse, she said "she could have swept the membrane the way your cervix is shaped." Well that sounds like she is helping him find his way out.  :| she also mentioned to try and keep him in until next week at the earliest.. DID I MENTION WE DONT EVEN HAVE A CARSEAT?!? Help. Lol
  • Cereal is a food group in itself for me right now. I love regular Cheerios with some sugar and a banana cut into it (or a baggie of dried ones to eat on the go), and Rice Krispies same way.. and frosted flakes.. And honey combs.. And apple jacks.. And mini frosted wheats..

I mostly just buy Cheerios and one other at a time though.

PS: captain crunch is too gross for words.  :s
  • I love Ohs (the really crunchy stuff in the yellow box).  This morning I was all about the Lucky Charms, though reading through this now I want Golden Grahams!
  • Well since I've never heard of any of the cereals you guys have mentioned apart from Cheerios and Kellogs then I can't really chime in here :grimace: I can imagine it tastes very very sweet though, so I'll stick to my oatmeal haha

  • @NOLA520 - I already caved and went and bought enough cereal to last the rest of this pregnancy.  They had corndogs, too... buy one 16 pack, get one free!  Plus strawberries, kiwis, and brownies on sale. Needed plenty of whipped cream to go with the berries.  Oh, AND the good yogurt! I also spent way too much time staring at the packaged cookie dough, and I circled the wine aisles a dozen times before I managed to tear myself away.

I should probably be supervised at the grocery store from here on out.  Unfortunately, the husband's idea of grocery shopping too often involves buying them out of oatmeal cookies (12 dozen in one trip once!), picking up enough burgers and dogs to feed a small army (he ate nothing but for more than a month), purchasing two 24-packs of paper towels (because they won't ever go bad!), or grabbing a 40 lb bucket of icing from the deli (it was only $5, and it's now been living in our pantry for more than a year).... so I'm still the more responsible party.
  • @AGK2015 I had a corn dog phase as well - I had never had one before! I may eat one tonight...and I've had a kiwi for "dessert" every night this week. Yum!
