@Tippy05 You are in my thoughts and prayers! My 12 week appointment seriously had me so worked up too! I had a 11w2d MMC so I was terrified we wouldn't hear the heartbeat. I worried myself so much that I ended up having to run to the bathroom multiple times while waiting on the dr to come in.

Try to do something to keep your mind off of things, although I know it's near impossible!

    Hugs!
  • @reesaXden - thanks!  At least my appointment is in the morning so I don't have to spend the whole day in nervous anticipation.  I feel better than I did at this point last time, so that helps a little, but I don't know if we, as loss-momma's, will ever really be "ok" until our babies are here.

Fingers crossed for a smooth, healthy and eventful-free pregnancy for you!

  • @Tippy05 same to you!!!
  • How many weeks? Size of the baby- 13.3 days, size of a peach

How are you feeling physically and emotionally? physically much better and getting back energy which should help clean the house that I have slacked on. Emotionally- can't wait til April for the gender scan, praying for a boy to round out my 5 kids as this is the last one.

what is the next milestone you are looking forward to?  finding out the sex so we can post it on fb to the rest of my family and friends that don't know we are even pregnant yet again.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions- I am on my own for 3 days with 4 kids since hubby had to work out of town, hopefully the kids will he good

QTKY: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season? Cadbury creme eggs and mini robin eggs, however candy doesn't sound or taste good so I won't be buying them.
  • How many weeks? Size? 14 weeks, 6 days - Lemon

How are you feeling? Like junk and it's starting to bring me down emotionally. I'll have a good day or two and then it's back to migraines and nausea/vomitting. I just want to feel like my normal self. I feel like I'm doing the minimum with my girls, it takes so much effort to do anything...I'm usually so on top of everything, it's killing me.

Next milestone? My appt on Weds. This will be the first time they try to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler. I've been doing ok and have no real reason to be concerned, but I just need that reassurance. I'm getting kind of anxious when I think about the appt.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I got to meet my best friend's newest baby girl in the hospital this weekend. Oh my gosh...I had all the feels! Holding that little baby was the best and did get me excited for what's to come.

GTKY - Favorite Easter Candy: Cadbury Creme Eggs and those chocolate covered marshmallow eggs. My Gram makes it a point to buy me marshmallow eggs ever since I was a kid. I'm 35 and still look forward to it.

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? I feel ok physically....the nausea has finally eased up a bit, but I'm kind of a mess emotionally. I'm really looking forward to hitting the 12-week mark tomorrow, but it still seems scary. I think I was a mess with my first pregnancy, too...and that baby is an exhausting 2-year-old now. It's just so hard not knowing what's happening in there. I had NO signs when I lost my last baby. No cramps, no bleeding, nothing. I just had a gut feeling something was wrong. I'm so scared that's happening again.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to? I have an appointment Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to seeing LO and hearing the hb. I tried to find the hb with a Doppler at home and failed. I know it's user error...but my brain is all twisty wondering if that's because nothing is there to hear.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions? WHY did I buy a Doppler? Not helping!

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season? I have always loved Cadburry Cream Eggs. They are so sticky sweet, but I love them! I also have a soft spot for jelly beans even though I can buy them any time of the year.

  • @pilotswifey  My Dh won't let me buy a Doppler.  I feel like it would be reassuring but I also know how freaked out I would get if I couldn't find the heartbeat.  I think at 11/12 weeks it's on the early side for finding the heartbeat consistently.  Try not to freak out but I know that's easier said than done!!

  • How many weeks? Size of baby?
    15 weeks 4 days

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally?
Good, better than I have felt in weeks to be honest. No more headaches or nausea. I just get really really tired (but I can deal with that).

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?
Next scan is on March 30th, I have hoping we will know the gender then.

    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?
I am annoyed with my in-laws. When we go over to their house for dinner we usually stay until at least 11h30 at night and normally that's fine but like I said I am very tired now and around 9h00 I want to get to bed, read and relax.

We had two dinners in the past week and I was lucky to leave at 10h00 and that was with skipping coffee... I told them I would rather go in the afternoon on the weekend and get there early so we can play Uno (they love Uno) and spend more time together. And they are like "Oh yes I understand, that is a better idea"

But they keep inviting us to dinner on weekdays -_-

How many weeks? Size of baby?
-12 weeks, finally! Baby is the size of a macaron or a toy soldier!

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally?
-Physically I'm feeling pretty good, just exhausted and I've had some trouble going back to sleep after the inevitable middle of the night pee.
-Emotionally I'm pretty anxious. We are telling my husband's parents the news tonight and our last scan was at 10w3d so I'm a little anxious that something could have happened since then. We did get the genetic results back from the MaterniT21 and they were all negative but I'd feel a lot better if I could just hear the heartbeat one more time (my husband is afraid that getting a Doppler would just worry me).  We have another appointment (plus NT scan) on Wednesday and I'll probably wait until after that appointment to tell my family and some more friends (I've told a few close friends already, who all know about my loss). I know we'd tell our families if we suffered a loss but I'm just so worried!

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?
-I'll be pretty thrilled to make it to 14 weeks although I think each ultrasound/appointment ends up being the major next step, and I'm not sure how long we'll have to wait after the appointment on Wednesday!

    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?
-I guess my rant would be that it sucks to be so afraid. I wish all the positive steps so far meant that I was in the clear but I'll never be fully reassured and I wish I could have more confidence in being able to hold my baby in my arms in September!

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season?
-I really love starburst jellybeans but I also love pretty much all of the sour candies! I haven't given in yet this year but I'm sure I will!
  • @Tippy05 I'm 12 weeks today too! My 12 week scan is on Wednesday. I'm feeling pretty nervous but I'm trying to keep in mind the 3 scans we've had that have gone well. I'm hoping for a great scan for you tomorrow and that it will help put your mind at ease!
  • @reesaXden I've never seen the bumpy jelly beans but now I definitely want some!
  • @Spindlek - thanks!  FX for a great scan for you this week too!
  • How many weeks? Size of baby? 11+5, Lime

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically really good. Emotionally not so good. Really want the week to go by fast so I can get some reassurance that everything is okay in there...

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to? 12 week appt with my OB on the 21st and NT scan on the 23rd.

    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions? DST is killing me...

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season? Any and all jelly beans and now I'm off to go buys some of those Nerds Jelly Beans...

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically exhausted.  Emotionally I still feel like I'm detached from this pregnancy.  I have a lot of fear surrounding having twins and I'm finding it hard to get excited.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?  NT scan on the 23rd.  I think we will do some kind of announcement after that.  Our immediate families and some close friends already know.

    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions? Nada.

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season? Starburst jelly beans! So much yum. Although now I need to try those nerds ones!

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically I am feeling pretty good, which of course messes with my PGAL brain. Emotionally I am doing pretty good, but I have found myself snapping at DH more often. :(

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to? Just looking forward to my appointment next week

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions? My brother-in-law and his wife just moved out of our house and it has made me realize how helpful they were with DS, it makes me nervous thinking about having 2 under two and having to take care of both of them on my own while DH is at work. :/

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season?

Love love love Cadbury Cream Eggs! Also Starburst jelly beans. :)

  • How many weeks? Size of baby? 14 weeks today. Lemon

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically, I'm tired but the nausea seems to be abating. Emotionally I'm having a tougher time. I had a loss at 16 weeks in September and yesterday was my due date. I'm hopeful for this pregnancy but it's hard to think that I should either be huge or have a newborn right now.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to? NIPT results should come back next week. Our NT screening was positive so I'm hoping the NIPT comes back looking good. I'm also looking forward to being past 16 weeks which is went I had my last loss.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions? It's March Break so I'm off work for the week. I'm really enjoying having the time to myself and getting caught up on chores and paperwork.

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season? TBH, I don't really like Easter candy. I don't like jelly anything or milk chocolate or anything that's too sweet. I really love dark chocolate though. So I guess I'd say I like a dark chocolate bunny.

I am like you, when I talk or think about being pregnant I always have to add "if all goes well" I can't just assume we will get a baby to take home. But I look on the positive side and tell myself I that made it so far. Hopefully all goes well for you.

  • How many weeks? Size of baby?

15w2d.  They're the size of oranges!

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally?

Good and good.  I had a mini meltdown yesterday, but it had nothing to do with my belly fruits.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?

My anatomy scan!  My next appointment is April 11th, IIRC, but they didn't say it would be an anatomy scan and now I'm kind of stressing about when it will be if that's not it.

    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?

    None right now.

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season?

I'm not a big candy eater, but I guess I'd have to say Reese's peanut butter eggs.  They're fresher than the cups and I like the chocolate and peanut butter balance (even though I'm so-so about chocolate and hate PB).

    • How many weeks? Size of baby!

      15 weeks... An eclair!

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally?

pretty good all around. Last week I was pretty pessimistic, but my bump seems to have popped out and we're planning on announcing after my appointment on Wednesday.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?
baby kicks! Hopefully next week! I woke up in the middle of the night last night and I thought I felt some, but it may have just been a dream. They're so realistic anyway, it's hard to separate reality sometimes! Haha
    • Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?

None that I can think of

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season?

I like the giant, super high-quality chocolate bunnies. I just take a little taste every time I see it until it's gone.
  • How many weeks? Size of baby? 14, second tri yaaaaay! A lemon, half a banana, or a nectarine, depending on the website. These people are obsessed with fruit.

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically a lot better, although I still occasionally feel the need to hang my head over my office trash can.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to? My spouse is dying to know when we can see the baby on the big cool monitor again... I think my anatomy scan is pretty early, at 18w 5d or something like that, since my doctor is going on vacation the next week. Ha. So we are looking forward to that. Also, now that I am feeling better and ready to work at full capacity again, I am reeeaaaally starting to look forward to maternity leave. It's a long way away, but I am excited.

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions? Does anybody else feel like their belly is unreasonably big? I would have loved to keep my pregnancy a secret longer, but people keep asking me when I am due. When I say "September" they look awkward about it, like they thought I was going to say "May." Wtf.

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season? I cannot BELIEVE I have neglected to buy jellybeans. I love the Nerds ones but I also really like the Starburst ones and the Jolly Ranchers ones. I am not a big chocolate person typically, notwithstanding the entire box of samoas I have eaten this week. I love jellybeans.

    Have a great week everybody!
  • @Cameron1113 It has definitely been hard for me to not speak in 'if's and to not correct people who congratulate us, but I just hit 12 weeks on Monday and that has made me get a little more excited. It's been almost 2 weeks since our last appointment and I had a MMC too, I found out at 10 weeks last May, so I won't feel that much relief until our 12 week scan tomorrow. My due date is the 26th and I agree about being at the end of the month, I'm so jealous of everyone who is already 14+ weeks but I'd also rather be in this group, my last due date was December 3rd and being at the beginning of a group was hard too. I hope your wait for your next appointment will fly by and that you'll be able to feel some relief in getting out of the first trimester soon!
  • @Jabreen I found sweettart jellybeans and seriously ate about half a bag and definitely age some carrots to make up for it haha! Yay Easter!
  • How many weeks? Size of baby?
14 weeks, 4 days; Size of a lemon, 3.4 inches
How are are you feeling physically and emotionally?
Physically, I'm feeling okay...nausea seems to be gone but I feel exhausted and have been getting headaches. Emotionally, I think I'm good...however, I teach middle school and some of my students drive me crazy so I may not be able to really tell if my emotions are work or pregnancy related. LOL
What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to my next ultrasound, which will be at 17 weeks and also can't wait for 20 weeks to find out the sex of the baby.
    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?
I know I'm not alone in how I feel so I'm wondering how many of you, who are into the second trimester, are dealing with waiting long periods of time (like weeks) between ultrasounds? It's hard not knowing for sure if the baby is okay or not...I'm just going by the fact that I haven't had bleeding and/or severe cramping...but I'm still worried because I had a silent/missed miscarriage with my first pregnancy. I'm trying to stay positive but I can't help but brace myself for bad news when I have my next ultrasound.

  • @missfoxyleide I definitely stress about the long wait between ultrasounds.  4 weeks between them for me right now, until I hit 24 weeks and then I'll be going every 2 weeks.

I'm like you, I'm trying to calm myself by reminding myself that I haven't had cramps or bleeding, but I do worry about a missed miscarriage (although I've never had one; my first loss was an early miscarriage/CP that ended on its own, although I was told I was miscarrying before the bleeding started because my HCG didn't rise properly).  I do pretty well between ultrasounds, but when it starts getting close-ish to my next one (maybe about a week away), the anxiety ramps up.  The day before and day of (before the ultrasound) I tend to be a nervous wreck until I see the heartbeats and know that everything is okay.

My husband gets frustrated with my worrying and keeps telling me that "what's going to happen will happen" and that I need to enjoy being pregnant instead of stressing, but I take no comfort in the whole inevitability thing (it feels too much like "everything happens for a reason," which he's also a big proponent of) and I do enjoy being pregnant.  I just can't help worrying that everything's okay in there.

It's gotten better for me since I hit the second trimester and the risk of miscarriage went down, but I do still get nervous.  I imagine I'm going to be a basket-case before our anatomy scan because of the potential for bad news.

13 weeks 5 days. Baby is the size of a peach!

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally?
Physically I'm starting to feel better, but some days still kick me around. I think I may have a UTI so I'm going in for a culture tomorrow.  Emotionally I'm all over the place. I haven't been sleeping well so that's making me a huge basket case. I also am still having a hard time believing that in September I'll have a living baby with me. I feel like I'm still waiting for this pregnancy to end at some point.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?
I'm hoping tomorrow when I go in for my culture I can sneak in a peek at the heartbeat with the doppler. If not, we'll get to hear it again at our 16 week appointment at the beginning of April.

    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?
I'm ready for the 2nd trimester and ready for all the energy everyone says we'll get haha. I am also ready for my emotions to calm down. I feel bad for my poor husband who is always trying to calm me down.

  • @missfoxyleide  I am also in the second trimester (15w6d) and I get one ultrasound every few weeks too, the last one I had was at 12 weeks and the next one will be 18 weeks, so that is a long time and it is very scary not to have a confirmation everything is still okay.

I did have an appointment yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler so that made me feel SO much better. Now I think I will actually buy a doppler online so I can hear it at home, maybe you could consider doing that? If you feel anxious you can just look for heartbeat :)

  • @missfoxyleide  I have a home Doppler that I have been using since 12 weeks (I'm now 16W). I've been using it once a week to get me through the long stretches. It is a blessing and a curse. Wonderful reassurance when you hear the heartbeat, but I've definitely had some tearful moments when I could not find the heartbeat. I would try a few hours later, and there it would be! I get to go in tomorrow for my 16Week appointment. I hope to start feeling the baby soon, because I want to stop using the Doppler at home. We will see if that happens.
  • Happy Monday!!

How many weeks? Size of baby?  13w6d

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically feeling like I'm starting to get more energy and feel like my normal self.  Having some round ligament pain but it just feels like something is tugging on my lower abdomen.  Emotionally I feel less anxious after having an appointment yesterday.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?  We will probably go get a sex detection scan done in a couple weeks just for fun.  Taking it with a grain of salt but it's another opportunity to have an US so I'm happy :)

Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?   I'm feeling pretty emotional still and easily irritable.  Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of my MIL and pretty much everything she does/says is getting on my nerves.  I am notorious for creating hypothetical situations in my head and I'm just imaging the type of grandmother she will be.  She's very overbearing and likes to tell people 'the right way to do things.'  So I'm not looking forward to her trying to tell me how to raise our child.

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season?  Cadbury Caramel Eggs!  And those other little chocolate eggs that come in a purple package and are all different pastel colors.

    14w4d-- Size of a lemon!
How are are you feeling physically and emotionally?
Physically- not too bad. Still pretty tired and boobs are still a bit sore. Also, the day I hit trimester 2 my morning sickness starts?! What's that about?
Emotionally- I'm completely petrified. I've had 6 ultrasounds done so far (yes I am aware how ridiculous that is) because I constantly need reassurance. I'm still having a hard time believing that this will actually happen for us after 2 losses and 2 years of trying.
What is the next milestone you are looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to my next ultrasound, which will be at 15w6d also can't wait to know the sex and hopefully get a clean bill of health at the anatomy scan at 19w6d
    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?
I guess I'm just wondering when I'll truly feel "safe" with this pregnancy. This will be our second (and most likely last) child and I hate that I'm spending this entire pregnancy worrying....

How are are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically I have my up days and down days. Still get occassional sickness and had it really bad over the weekend. Occassionally feel tired but I think this is mentally motivated as I have to gear up energy to move house at the end of this month and havent started packing.

Emotionally feeling alot better, although over the weekend had a major PGAL breakdown as someone I know gave birth to a stillborn and it messed me up all over again.
Ended up seeing the midwife a week earlier than booked appointment to make sure baby was ok and was able to hear HB for the first time with Doppler.

What is the next milestone you are looking forward to? Feeling babys movements and 20 week anatomy scan next month!

    Rants/Raves/Randoms/Questions?
Do petite women's bumps tend to show slower? A friend who is pregnant a couple of weeks ahead of me said she read this somewhere...

Qtky: What is your favorite candy that you can only buy during the Easter season? Not really a candy or chocolate person but would have to say Jelly Beans although this is available all year round.
  • Possible TMI/TW

Starting yesterday I've had some watery, light brown discharge.  At first, I thought I'd peed a little when I bent over, but nope.  I haven't really had cramps, except the occasional one from moving or stretching and those feel different from period cramps to me.  I'm going to call my OB as soon as they open, and I know that some spotting and discharge can be normal, but I am definitely anxious. :/  No real questions for the board right now, I just needed to get it out there so I don't go crazy waiting until 9...

  • @Jabreen I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.  Take comfort in that it's brown and not red.  Did you have a SCH by chance?

    Keep us updated.  Hugs!
