My boss' wife just came into my office to ask me if I've started rubbing sandpaper on my nipples to "rough them up" for breastfeeding.
Wasn't planning on it.....
I think this may fall under the category of "inappropriate for work" at best, "sexual harassment" at worst. Hey, if you still want to quit your job...haha j/k
OMGsh the daycare thread hates science. I have to step away...
As for potty training I am in ZERO rush. It sounds awful. I'd rather change diapers than clean upaccidents. I'd wait until she was headed to college if I was allowed to but I know daycare has rules about it being done earlier.
My favorite is this interaction lately, "Honey- oh crap- please get the baby- he's bare-butt and I'm trying to get out of the shower" "okay! Come here you little nakedbutt" "Hey- DON'T PEE DON'T PEE DON'TPEE Oh- be careful he just peed on the floor there" "Where. I don't see it" "You stepped in it, I'll clean it up just try to get him- crap there he goes wait ok here I got it okay..."
And there I am using my dirty pre-shower clothes to clean up urine. This is like every evening.
My eyelid has been twitching all day. I blame work, reno drama, and now that ridiculous daycare thread. I need a milkshake STAT.
Please bring me one. I have the plague. But I won't pass it to you because it's not contagious because this one time, I heard about this lady who had it and bathed in the blood of someone who had died from it and she was magically cured. And she lived forever. The end.
That thread makes me cringe. I'm not going to respond otherwise I'm pretty sure I'll get a warning.
ANNNNND I just failed.
That totally was not warn worthy! I enjoyed it though
I just really want to ask what educational systems some of the responders have frequented so I can make sure my son avoids them like the plague. Well, really he doesn't need to avoid the plague Bc no one in my family has died from it so technically the whole plague thing is really just stories and it only matters what I've actually experienced in my own teeny tiny life. So plague away, son! But don't go to those schools. Just, no.
We actually have the plague here in Beautiful Northern New Mexico! My friend's father got it a few years ago and while he was in the hospital they found cancer- he is now cured of both but he thanks the plague for saving his life.

I know.
New Mexico is crazy.
Moving to NM right now. It sounds like the most magical place to live!!

I'll go with Violation of the Federal Pregnancy Discrimination Act; Title VII Sex based discrimination by creating a hostile work environment; Title VII Sexual Harassment by creating a hostile work environment; Title VII Sex based discrimination via quid pro quo; Title VII Sexual Harassment via quid pro quo along with state statute violations I'm certain.
@ahernandez16 - my sweet MIL asked me that at a party in front of maybe 10 people?? But she told me to use a pumice stone. OUCH! and soo embarassing. I looked it up right then because I was terrified and everything I read said under no circumstances should you "toughen up your nipples" Thank. God.

@crdo If you find a relief for the eye twitching, please share because my left eye has been twitching on/off since like 14 weeks. It's driving me absolutely nuts.

On my way! Whipped cream and sprinkles on top, or no? Chocolate or vanilla?
Oh thank goodness you heard such persuasive anecdotal evidence and are now aware of a tried and true method of curing the plague, otherwise I'd have to decline becaue I'm not sure whether my ancestors' DNA shows any natural resistance to the plague. PHEW!
@catherinekate: So annoying! I say give a milkshake a try. If it doesn't work, eh, at least you get a milkshake, right?

No whipped cream or sprinkles, and would a shamrock be too much to ask? Also, I'll begin filling the tub for you.

K, will get a shamrock, and I'll grab my swimmin' suit!
WAIT BUT SERIOUSLY It seems like most of you have undergone or will undergo glucose challenge tests- am I correct? I didn't in my 2014 pregnancy and I haven't in this pregnancy- why not? I see my OB every month and also a perinatal specialist group frequently (high risk pregnancy due to cancer history, age and short cervix) but I never had to do the glucose challenge.
I'm not jealous. But I do feel really left out now.
Yes. I googled for info. You didn't expect me to look it up did you?

Some practices skip the test as long as the patient meets every single part of the criteria to skip which includes age, family history, BMI and a bunch of other stuff. I don't believe in that since I met every part of the criteria and had terrible terrible uncontrollable diabetes. I'm sure I'm the exception not the rule
I will continue to work with my OB, but I do not have any reason to believe that I am at risk, suffering from or going to develop GD. So I won't start worrying right now. I'll worry when she tells me to.

Definitely. Some symptoms are extreme thirst or headaches but I'm sure if they're not testing you its for a reason and you'll most likely be fine
Okay, so that daycare thread was MADNESS! As for that contrarian poster, this isn't her first time causing a ruckus, is it? I like how she specified she was a non-smoker.
@junebabyjoy I feel you on that sentiment! We have some whip-smart ladies on here, and they are not to be messed with! It's so entertaining to just sit back and watch it all unfold. We can be their groupies.
Sometimes it feels like I have a baby kicking my bladder, pushing on my pelvis, and pushing on my ribs all at the same time. Oh wait.....that is happening.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
Just caught up on the ice cream/day care dibacle. Yikes lol.
@shannonrnbsn sorry to hear about your test. Your positivity is encouraging and I know everything will be ok. Happy your Drs already referred you. Hang in there.
After reading this thread I ate froyo so thanks. it was de-lic-ioussssss.
