WRYDTGKU: Temping, charting, prenatal a, BD timing, OPK R/R/CS: Major rant: I was supposed to get a second opinion about a PCOS dx (OBGYN doesn't think I have it but she did no bloodwork and I have one out of three clinical indicators of PCOS). The new doctor's office called to confirm the appointment at an office in a different town than the one I request. I told them I couldn't do that because of work so I cancelled. I talked to my boss and was able to get permission to leave early; I called back to get my appointment reinstated and was told that the office probably wouldn't be a good fit, especially since they don't do consultations for second opinions. I was planning on switching doctors but given the lack of communication I didn't argue.
I'm just royally pissed off; I had to wait a month and a half to get this appointment and jump through all the Tricare hoops for nothing. I'm so frustrated I think I may just wait out the next three months, go for my annual and get a referral for an RE then.
The situation isn't helped by the fact that AF hasn't showed more than a little spotting but I am 19 dpo and all BFNs. My LP was super short prior to this cycle and I've been taking a B complex to try to help things out. Could this be causing a longer than usual LP?
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
Custom clothing as the norm. I'm very tall so finding clothes that fit are a pain. I envy the days when custom clothing was readily available and cheap.
I've mentioned before that I won't be actively TTC until May, so I'm not counting cycles until then. I just need to vent and maybe cry today, so I'm posting. I wish to god I had a baby in my belly now, but my husband is reminding me that we are so close to having debt paid off and that would mean more easily paying baby expenses that come up.

WAYDTGKU: I will be tracking my Basal temp using Fertility Friend, and have already started playing around with it. I'm on prenatals and am trying to get a good workout routine established.
R/R/CS: ****loss of adult relative and visit with pregnant friends mentioned****** As I've mentioned, my grandma passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last week. It's been the most difficult thing I've ever gone through. I've spent so long trying to wait until the best possible time to get pregnant, and now I am devastated that in doing so, I've missed a chance to have my grandma see a baby of mine. I thought we had years left with her, but she grieved too hard to go on after losing my grandpa in November. The loss of my grandma has had a very physical affect on me. I've been sleeping a lot. Usually, I react to stress by being unable to sleep, but losing two precious family members so close together is unlike any stress I've had previously. I went to lunch yesterday with three pregnant coworkers. When I mentioned being so tired, one of them said that her boyfriend was right, and I am pregnant. I reacted more rudely than I meant and said, "No, it's cause my grandma died last week and I'm kinda bummed about it." Then I cried. At the table. I didn't mean to be rude, but no one knows how much it hurts when they mention that I could be pregnant. I know I'm not. I just had my period less than a week ago. It is so painful to know I'm not and that I missed sharing this special time with my grandma. I just don't know how to say it nicely, because I don't want them to talk to me about it.
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? The 1920's. I want to wear long fancy gloves and lace dresses for no reason at all.
@MollyandD So sorry for what you are going through right now. Take the time you need for yourself to grieve. And don't feel sorry for what you said to those ladies. In my opinion they were the ones being rude. *Creepy internet hugs*

GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? @mokay19 I agree! I look back at photos of my grandparents and every occasion was a reason to get dolled up!
I work in an office that's business casual, which has somehow transformed into "Sweat Pants Friday." Drives me insane!
@MollyandD I'm so sorry about your grandma! I don't think your reaction was rude and I wouldn't worry about it. I have a pregnant coworker and she acts very similar, I just don't think some people get it. Internet hugs to you!

@sldp123i'm sorry to hear about DH's anxiety. that must be so frustrating. but i don't think you're timing is terrible, at all. all it takes is once, right?
@cjt121413OMG, do you shop at the Gap? i just bought a pair of high rise flare jeans and they are like, the best jeans i've ever worn, hands down. they're fitted through the thigh but flare just below the knee, and make your legs look a mile long! i feel like flare is definitely trending right now, too. you should check out Gap.
@mrsdaddario that's strange that FF gave you dotted crosshairs. i suppose it was the effects of the provera. i wouldn't take it too seriously, esp. if you never had any fertile CM.

WAYDTGKU: Temping, Metformin, not much else right now...anovulatory cycle.
R/R/CS: So I had an appt. with my OB this morning to discuss my response...or lack of response...to the Metformin and my crazy long anovulatory cycles. I'm signed up for another ultrasound this week, got another round of blood work done, the usual. she said we may have to look at the next step of really controlling my cycle and putting me on clomid, but wants to conduct an ultrasound first. which is exciting on one hand, but depressing on the other, because nobody wants to get to this point in the first place.
BUT what's really interesting is that she does not like me temping, at all. she wants me to rely solely on OPK's and CM. she said "all the latest studies show that it doesn't have any real benefit and is added stress." and that "it's really hard to do it correctly for accurate results". i'm not sure how i feel about this. temping, whether or not it gives me any new insight, makes me feel in control. what do you ladies think about this? GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? eh. i can't really think of anything. maybe clogs? i'm not super into fashion.
WAYDTGKU: Temping, charting, BD when I can convince DH (we've totally switched roles in this!) Temp was still down this morning, but I'm starting to break out on my face. Ugh, I'm 30 and still deal with acne twice a month (usually around the time I O and then during AF). I've never temped to see exactly when I break out vs. when I O, so it'll be interesting to see exactly how it correlates. Trying to find the silver lining.... ha! All of my other symptoms point to O any day, so I'm hoping temping will confirm soon!
R/R/CS: It finally stopped raining!!! But now it's all foggy and gloomy. I cannot wait until summer.
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? Umm...I have something that I wish will stay in fashion forever if that counts... Leggings. Hate on me all you want but I truly believe leggings are pants... As long as they are thick enough material.

@anj27 i was checking it all the time and I still am just not as frequently. Honestly I've never seen anything significant, only EWCM once and it didn't correlate with O at all. I'll keep checking, I just never seem to have tons even with drinking tons of water and taking mucinex.
@MollyandD I totally was right where you are a few months (weeks?) ago, with wanting a baby. We were waiting til one giant student loan was paid off, but I couldn't make it. Our loan will be paid off this month, instead. Maybe your SO will be open and compromise with you? Mine sat down and figured out finances if I was to get pregnant immediately, and discovered we really would survive haha, so he agreed. I'm so sorry about your grandmother. My grandmother passed away about a year ago and 'm still upset she won't have seen our baby, but I totally believe that grandma is up there pulling strings for me and watching over me during this time. She always used to tease me about certain pregnancy traits that run in our family, and I know that if I experience them, I'll think immediately of her and smile. If I'm blessed with twins, I will know she had something to do with it! Hopes and hugs you can find peace and comfort in this soon.

My rant would be it is 89 degrees here and none of my shorts fit because I've gained 20 pounds and I feel like shit in that department; been trying to lose for a few months but it keeps gaining. WAYDTGKU: Right now just pouting and waiting for AF to go away
R/R/CS: My last cycle was the longest it's been in 4 years. I kinda thought I was KU even though every test I took was negative. Boo. On the upside I told my mom and sister we were TTGP this weekend. I've been excited to tell them since we started, but I was hoping I could just surprise them with a pregnancy. Oh well. They're very excited and I'm glad I can finally talk to them about stuff. It was weird though, as soon as I told them I had this moment of regret. There's something nice about not having other people know... if I didn't want to talk about it there was a guarantee no one would ask.
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? I agree with wanting 50's fashion back. I'm tall and thin and shaped similar to a string bean. 50's style dresses and skirts that come in at the waist and then poof out a little at the hips really help give me some shape.

R/R/CS: </b>Feeling totally blase about this cycle. Got a tonne of work/real life stuff to focus on and hoping we can just enjoy hitting our FW with a little less pressure this cycle and see what happens. We still have a lot on our plate with getting the business going and getting startup costs paid down so, ain't nuthin wrong with having a little more time to feel like we're on better financial footing.<b> </b>Also have a goal to re-lose 20 lbs in the next 10ish weeks leading up to my concert, so that is something to focus on, whether or not I GKTFU and of course, would be a happy reason to break my diet if I am!<b>
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? </b>@lscrva @mamamunn I love my skinny jeans and skinny pants (mostly because I'm just glad I CAN wear them now that I've lost so much weight) but DH kind of hates the look. I wear them anyway. :P @ratparade @mokay19 I am totally with you on dresses/full skirts and dressing up in general. There was a time when women just wore dresses every day, hanging out around the house in cinched little waists and full skirts and APRONS when cooking and m-freaking HEELS around the house. I would be all into that. Plus, with the singing, my favourite thing to do is get dressed! I have several cocktail dresses and gowns that are far too fancy to really wear at all ever, so I'm jut waiting for when I can convince DH to come into the City with me to the Opera again. Meanwhile, I love that for my upcoming concert, I totally just bought a long, black sequin CK gown with a slight fishtail to sing in, (on my phone whilst laying in bed lol), with a cowl back and I'm sure I'll be one of the fanciest choristers in the mix and may even get mistaken for a soloist but I 100% do. not. care. R/R/CS: I decided that I didn't want to adult last night, and despite a positive wondfo OPK/Peak CBAD reading last night, I took the excuse to drink all the wine while watching the Vanderpump Rules finale. As a result, my temp was pretty high this morning. I'd like to care, but I'm not sure that I really do.
We'll see if FF is able to distinguish when O was based on my other
signs over the next couple of days. If not, I think I'm going to ditch
temping the rest of this cycle.
GTKY: My fashion sense is so lacking that I cannot even begin to think of something to bring back.
@beary67, hope that your acupuncture appointment goes well today. @houseofsetters, good luck at your doctor's appointment today. @cjt121413, I love a good bootleg jean paired with a stiletto...I'd probably break my neck wearing it nowadays though. @pretzel2plus1, fingers crossed that this is "O" for you and not the beginning of AF. @felix08, hope that your doctor is able to give you a little more insight into what may be going on with your cycles. @RatsPJ, I like platform wedges too...I own only one pair though. My twin had some great ones that I borrowed from time to time. @sldp123, sorry, I know that has to be frustrating for both you and your DH. Glad that you have some great follicles though this cycle - even if you don't hit today, you still have good timing. @DiFazette, hope that FF is able to detect a temp shift/O for you soon. @MrsDaddario, sorry that FF plus the Provera are trying to mess with your mind. Hugs @gonetothesea, enjoy D.C. My FIL lives there, and I love visiting him. Such a fun city. @nwegman7878, I'd probably kill (or at least severely injure) myself if I tried the Skip-It. You must be pretty coordinated. @anj27, fingers crossed that you get confirmation of O soon. @babymish, I could never master roller blades. I wish that I could because I've heard it's a great/fun way to get in some exercise. @lcsrva, glad to hear that your cycles are starting to even out. @LeCool, fanny packs are uber convenient, but I'm not sure that I could quite make myself wear one again. They were very popular, and I had a few when I was a child. @canavara, that's pretty interesting about your fitbit info and O lining up. @clover28, I probably would have been all over the pajama jeans as well. @MamaMunn, hope that your temps keep climbing. @QueenDaenerysT, maybe it's a fall back rise? Hopefully, it will go back up tomorrow. @mokay19, totally fine to check CM after a BM. @Winnie81, DST is doing a number on me as well. @brambles1, sorry that TriCare/your doctor's office is so hard to work with. @MollyandD, take all the time that you need to grieve. It's extremely difficult losing a loved one...I continue to have passing thoughts and regrets about family members/loved ones that I have lost over the past couple of years. @TwentySixth, glad that you and your DH were able to talk it out this past weekend. @PennStateCait, fingers crossed for you. @sammajane19, I think that it isn't uncommon for doctors to prefer OPKs over temping. I do think that this board would tend to say that they're incorrect. As for me, I'm truly considering taking off a couple of cycles and just using OPKs and CM observations myself. Whether it's helpful or not, I doubt it, but I'm starting to feel the need for a break from it. @linzrunz, glad that it finally stopped raining in your neck of the woods...hope that the fog starts to clear up soon. @sugargirl1019, parasols, LOL. But, I have seen several people in my area use them (or something similar) in the summer. On another note...I love Downton Abbey. @TheJerilu, got to love Wondfos...they're so cheap. @RatParade, kudos to you for telling your mom and sister about TTC. @PepperAT, a lot of my friends used to love bell bottoms in HS. Sadly, I never bought/had a pair. @BusinessWife, I think I need to adopt your attitude about TTC this cycle and focus more on the other things that I need to do/work on and less on wanting to be KTFU.
i got my implant removed and had my period a day or two later. I wasn't expecting things to normal that quickly. Waiting for O, which is one abbreviation I understand.

@Sugargirl1019 I just have H look at it, and I ask him which line is darker (since he doesn't know WTF he's looking at), it's a good objective eye!
That's such a great idea, thank you! So I did send it, and he thinks the left is slightly lighter. I guess I'm just trying to see a positive. C'mon bedtime POAS! I'm in BSC mode

@beary67 YAS SLAP BRACELETS. @houseofsetters Yay for ovulating! Glad the appointment went well. I would probably stick around until my chart confirmed, too. But have fun if you decide to move over
@cjt121413 my chart is also crazy with vaginal temping... but I weirdly trust it better anyway. It's comforting to see that there's someone else who doesn't get the magical perfect charts from vaginal temping.
@pretzel2plus1 ugh I've totally been at that CD30+ and hoping to O. FX it happens for you soon or that you get to start fresh with a new cycle soon @felix08 I hope the doc appointment was helpful. Any insights?
@RatsPJ FX for that +OPK! @sldp123 so sorry about the frustrations/performance issues. Lots of people have gotten BFPs with just -4 timing in the last couple of months, so you could still be in very good shape!
@DiFazette those inconsistent waking times can be so frustrating. FX that it doesn't affect your chart.
@mrsdaddario you've already gotten good responses on the progesterone, but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry FF is setting off the BSC for you. I hope Provera does its job soon!
@gonetothesea have a good time in DC! I'm just down the road in central VA, and we are having some great weather right now
@nwegman7878 ugh those horse pills. I can't. You're a champ with all the work you're putting in to get your perfect week. @anj27 FX for O!
@babymish dude I hated rollerblades so much. I can't begin to express how glad I am that they're not a thing anymore.
@lecool I've been wondering if my temps would even out now that the weather isn't fluctuating quite so much. February is such a wild month here, but March is much more moderate. Maybe your temps are more consistent because of the weather, too?
@canavara the fitbit thing is so cool. I'm getting one of the new fitbit Alta models when I get back from my trip. I can't wait to see if this works for me, too! I would join a challenge with you and @nwegman7878 in April!! @clover28 if you had one unusually short cycle, FF can be weird about your FW prediction. You could try excluding that cycle from your data to see if it adjusts your FW prediction.
@mamamunn FX for temp rise! Glad to have some support on the skinny jeans
@QueenDaenerysT ugh my last cycle was all over the place like that. I hope it evens out soon.
@mokay19 I also remember reading that it's fine to check CM after a BM. Just... um... make sure to wash your hands first. I'm sure I didn't need to say that. But yknow.
@winnie81 I'm with you on the supermodel era. They were so badass. @brambles1 what the F with that doctor's office. I would have been pissed, too. @MollyandD I'm so, so sorry you're having such a rough time. Take care of yourself and be as rude to people as you need to be when they're being nosey. Your good friends will understand. @TwentySixth It's awesome that you feel like you're starting the cycle in a good place emotionally. I always feel weirdly refreshed right after AF is gone and I can start a whole cycle brand new and do everything right. @PennStateCait lol I've accidentally taken 2 prenatals, and then spent half the morning Googling whether I was going to die. Spoiler alert: you'll be fine
@sammajane19 I personally think that temping takes a lot of the guesswork out of things for me. I feel like I'd be losing my mind if I weren't temping, especially because my cycles are so irregular. I say do what you want. If it's not stressing you out and you want to do it, go for it. @linzruns you will also pry my leggings from my cold dead hands. I'm with you, girl. @sugargirl1019 it's so cute when the DHs start getting interested. Has he seen The Great Sperm Race yet? It's free on YouTube. My DH loved it. Also, re: OPKs: I have not yet gotten a "true" positive OPK, which can happen if you miss a short surge, drink too much water for the LH to register properly, etc. I just pick the darkest one of several and call that "positive."
@TheJerilu Yay for Wondfo orders! My DH has gotten to the point where he sees the package in the mail and he's like, "great, the pee sticks are here." I'm like, "GREAT!! THE PEE STICKS ARE HERE!!!"
@RatParade A lot of people like to be secretive about TTC, and while I respect that, I was really relieved to tell my mom and a few close friends. I just felt like it's a huge thing to not talk about with ANYONE. Now they ask me casually how it's going, and I usually respond by, like, taking a big gulp of my beer. But it hasn't stressed me out as yet.
@PepperAT I also used to buy bell bottoms when they were super popular... but now I never want to go back. @BusinessWife look at you, wearing things you love! Screw DH if he doesn't like it. I always tell my DH that "I'm not getting dressed for you. I get UNdressed for you!" @H4aPartyof5 my temp goes wacky when I drink a bunch... and I typically Give No Fucks. You're still a human who deserves to have fun, yknow? You're not a walking incubator... yet. @pshaortao WTO is absolutely worse than TWW for me. Probably for the same reason as you - I'm in WTO a lotttttt longer than TWW due to recent BC. It sucks. Here's to cycles evening out soon! @thefarmerswife0411 nooooooooo one saw that in TWW. Nope. Never happened. @megzb510 EVERYONE is sick. Everyone everywhere. All my kids are falling over where they stand. I hope DS feels better soon!
@lcsrva Haha I did a lot of googling too!! Glad I'm not alone. I google every little thing.
Girl if I ever vanish under suspicious circumstances, I've already got a friend on deck to delete my Google search history. Not because of anything salacious - just because I've wondered about some weird-ass things in the middle of the night. The Google Rabbit Hole is real.

WRYDTGKU: Temping, charting, prenatal a, BD timing, OPK
R/R/CS: Major rant: I was supposed to get a second opinion about a PCOS dx (OBGYN doesn't think I have it but she did no bloodwork and I have one out of three clinical indicators of PCOS).

WAYDTGKU: I will be tracking my Basal temp using Fertility Friend, and have already started playing around with it. I'm on prenatals and am trying to get a good workout routine established.
R/R/CS: ****loss of adult relative and visit with pregnant friends mentioned******
As I've mentioned, my grandma passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last week.

We'll see if FF is able to distinguish when O was based on my other signs over the next couple of days. If not, I think I'm going to ditch temping the rest of this cycle.
Hugs
@gonetothesea, enjoy D.C.
@PennStateCait, fingers crossed for you.

Is it weird that I still want to confirm on my chart before heading to TWW?! Because I think I'm going to hang out here until then...
Thanks guys. I'll try to tone it down now.
Yay @houseofsetters !!! I'd stay here too to confirm with the chart, make your doctor extra bristly. Bristle-y.. Whatev.

WAYDTGKU: nothing right now
R/R/CS: last cycle was 52 days so that sucked so not as sad to see CD1 cuz it's like FINALLY! But everyone is sick. DH took DS to the dr today and he has a sinus infection and pink eye. I hope he is game to go to bed early tonight.
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? Flared jeans, IOU sweatshirts, the thermal shirts that would change colors with the temperature.
DS: 5 years old

WAYDTGKU: HIO ED currently, Temping and charting, CM, CP, OPK, PNV with DHA.
R/R/CS: Tuesday's are the worst. It's actually my easiest day at work in terms of classes I teach, but then I tutor for three straight hours after work, and by the time I'm done I'm so exhausted. Hence the super late post today and lack of energy to reply or chat as much as I'd like. In other better news I really think O is going to be today or tomorrow. Time will tell! But our timing will hopefully be fantastic. We hit everyday in FW so far if my prediction is right. Yay!
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
Honestly, not really!

@beary67 YAS SLAP BRACELETS.
@houseofsetters Yay for ovulating! Glad the appointment went well. I would probably stick around until my chart confirmed, too. But have fun if you decide to move over
@felix08 I hope the doc appointment was helpful. Any insights?
@sldp123 so sorry about the frustrations/performance issues. Lots of people have gotten BFPs with just -4 timing in the last couple of months, so you could still be in very good shape!
@anj27 FX for O!
@clover28 if you had one unusually short cycle, FF can be weird about your FW prediction. You could try excluding that cycle from your data to see if it adjusts your FW prediction.
@BusinessWife look at you, wearing things you love! Screw DH if he doesn't like it. I always tell my DH that "I'm not getting dressed for you. I get UNdressed for you!"
@H4aPartyof5 my temp goes wacky when I drink a bunch... and I typically Give No Fucks.

WAYDTGKU: Just waiting on AF to GTFO
R/R/CS: Nothing really, just hope I'm not coming down with another cold. I had one a few months ago that delayed O and killed our timing.
GTKY: I have to agree with @pshaortao on this one. Halter tops were my jam in the early 00's!
