Thanks, everyone, for the well wishes for my doctor appointment! It was just with my PCP, so I wasn't expecting anything earth-shattering. However, this is the same woman who actually birthed me (no longer delivers babies), so I feel very comfortable with her and she knows my history. Basically, I just wanted to ask her about things that I was (irrationally) wondering if they were hindering our success here (really low BBT and -TMI- heavy/clotting periods). She confirmed that I have nothing to be concerned about and was very reassuring about everything. So, even though I didn't necessarily get answers, I feel more at peace with this whole process knowing that, at this point, I have done what I could and expressed my concerns to a professional. I knew that I would constantly be wondering about whether those factors "meant" anything, so I am glad I finally just made a call (even though I felt kind of silly doing so).
@sldp123Sorry for the HIO frustration. I can relate as we aren't typically very active, either. The "NTNP" or "relax and it will happen" method would literally never work for us because we are so inactive, ha.
@DiFazetteFX for a temp shift! If it makes you feel better, I haven't really been worrying about temping at the same time so my chart is not perfect, but I have still always been able to detect a clear shift.
@nwegman7878 Ugh, I hate when I have such high hopes for HIO success and then get too sleep...I lose alll motivation.
@babymish FX crossed you get your third high temp!
@beary67Ugh, yes, I was SO excited that it was not Caila!! Now I'm super excited for the new season. Watching the finale was heartbreaking, though! This reminds me I need to post on the bach discussion post. And crimped hair was the best!!! I think I still have my pink crimper from the 80s...I wonder if it still works.
@lcsrva Glad AF is more normal for you this cycle...hopefully it doesn't come next cycle ;-)
@canavara I had spotting during O for the first time last cycle which kind of freaked me out but also made me think "Oh, this must mean it was a super good O and I will for sure get pregnant!" (def not true)
@winnie81 I feel the same way about HIO--I had a lofty goal of EOD this cycle. Here we are at CD12 and we have done it exactly once (not really planning in it tonight, either!).
@brambles1 Sorry about the appointment frustration--I would be very irritated if a doctor told me it wasn't a "good fit." Wtf
@mollyandd So sorry about your grandma. Also, I totally get your annoyance with pregnant people who think everyone else should be/is pregnant. I also have several pregnant coworkers who are either "oh, you're definitely pregnant, aren't you?" or "ugh, be glad you aren't pregnant" and then complain about how awful it is...
@twentysixth Glad you are staying positive!! I am going to try to adopt your attitude. Also...sweatpants Friday sounds incredible...
@pennstatecait I was at my niece's gymnastics meet over the weekend and there were scrunchies galore! So...maybe just join gymnastics so you can wear scrunchies to your heart's content?
@sammajane19 While I understand the perspective of temping being anxiety provoking, I think it actually has the opposite effect on me (and probably many of the women on here). Because there is so little we get to control about the success of TTC, temping makes me feel like I am actually doing something. I also like the feeling that I am as informed about my cycle as possible (and not just HIO all willy nilly throughout the whole cycle). I could see not temping during the TWW because that has sometimes given me a lot of false hope--but, on the flip side, has also prepared me for AF. I know I'm preachin' to the choir here, but there's my rationale!
@linrunz Ugh, I also get adult acne and I HATE it. I seriously break out more now in my late 20s than I ever did in my teens. It's not fair that I am worrying about wrinkles AND acne.
@sugargirl1019 That's awesome that your H is so excited!!
@RatParadeHopefully being able to talk with people about TTC will be most beneficial in the long run!! We have also kept it a secret, though I've told two of my best friends. I'm like you that I'm not sure if it's better for people to know or not.
@H4aPartyof5I can't wait to watch the VPR finale! Never fails to bring the drama. Totally worth an artificially high temp to enjoy the booze--I feel like being slightly buzzed is a prerequisite to enjoying this show.
@pshaotao WTO is definitely worse (at least until the last couple days of TWW).
@megzb510 Sorry about CD1, but I'm glad you are staying positive! I admire you.
WAYDTGKU: pnv's, vitex, opks (just using wondfo's this cycle..I give up with the CBAD), aiming to HIO with preseed @ least 3 times this upcoming FW..and putting a strong focus on my diet and exercise.
R/R/CS: Was talking ttc stuff to FI earlier tonight and I said IF we were to conceive this cycle it would be a December baby and he stopped me and said he didnt like the idea of having a December baby...I put him in his place real fast and said yea well I was hopping for an August/September of this year baby buts that's not how this works..get over it. He quickly retracted his statement.
GTKY: Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? I really like the big flare jeans
canavara That's really neat. I just got my replacement Fitbit back yesterday since mine stopped working. Up for a challenge? I need some motivation to get back on my feet.
I just got new bands for my Fitbit and am so excited to get back on track with it. Up for a challenge if anyone else is
@felix08 For real me too! I had awesome skin in my teens. 20's (and now early 30's ugh)... Not so much. And I've tried all the things possible to fix it. Except for super expensive chemical peels.
