Teehee. I'm sorry for many of you. We haven't told our families yet this time but when I was pregnant with DS I called my folks to tell them- mom was out so I told my dad. His reply: "Okay." He recovered a little later and was like, "Congratulations, [my name]." I'd be offended if I didn't already know that my father is emotionless.
We haven't told anyone in our family yet. I am at 7 weeks and I want to wait until I'm at 12 weeks. Its been hard not to tell....but after reading all of these posts I never want to tell. My mother can behave pretty awful and my MIL and I have rounds before.
Hahaha @von1976 I'm not even telling my mom about this pregnancy until after 12 weeks. Last time she was like "I always felt great during pregnancy. And my hair was shiny and my nails grew." Not exactly what I wanted to hear after barfing!
This is what my MIL said last time too. I was complaining because my morning sickness was still going strong in month 5 and she and her sister were talking about how great they had felt when they were pregnant. Well, bully for you.
Ya'll make my mom sound like an angel. The one thing she said that was like wtf was "you might not show because of your weight" Thanks mom. I know I'm fat, but my sister who is close to the same size as me and has had 5 children has "shown" with all of her pregnancies. Other than that she's been pretty supportive.

@depineta and @ignoscemihi my mum is the total opposite, I was complaining to her about how awful I have been feeling for weeks, and she happily told me that this could get a lot worse and that it could last the whole 9months... Just what I wanted to hear...
She's great though aside from that, and is planning on coming to stay after the baby is born for a few weeks to help out:) we haven't told my mil yet but I think she'll be good too (... Just maybe not the best at keeping a secret which is why we're waiting)
