We got the walls painted (almost 2 months ago) and have the crib and bedding. We can't really do anything until we get new carpet installed (the room used to be my DD's playroom so the carpet is pretty much destroyed). We did order our glider yesterday and we need to repaint the dresser that we are using as the changing table. We have everything but we just can't put it together yet. I'm starting to feel really restless.
2 angel babies to watch over us- bfp 3/16/13, c/p 3/27/13- bfp 6/27/13, c/p confirmed 7/4/13- We will always carry you in our hearts
I went to tj maxx (the outfit and pink gray gold frame and one of the rugs), bed bath and beyond for the other rugs, Michaels had the most stuff which surprised me.. That's where I got the gray metal scalloped bins that I'm obsessed with and the other picture frames. They also had the roses and box/cabinet thing that I was going to use as a bow holder until my mom said she's making me one like in the picture.
I'm super excited to finally have made enough progress to share a picture! We live in the house H grew up in, and when we moved in all of his parents things were still in the house so we had tons to sort through and purge before we could get started. Here is how full the room was before we did anything. This weekend we cleaned out, ripped up carpet, and painted....
Before and after! We are team green so if it's a girl, we'll accent with coral, if it's a boy, accent with green. No furniture purchased yet...still can't decide on a color!
Here is mine so far with a doggie photo bomb for you! Have to paint and put down the actual rug still which is a light pink. The room will be a very light gray. We also have a twin size guest bed on the other wall. Also looking for a rocker and the bumper is just for looks purposes for now and will be taken out once I go back and wash everything.
We are planning on moving DS into a new room, and repainting the nursery lavender, but the furniture will stay where it is now. Wall posters will go with DS. This is my inspiration for the new nursery:
I've been focusing on DS's new room now, because I have to move him out of the nursery before I can do any redecorating. DS's new room will be a travel theme, and I bought the rug in the bottom and the plaid bedding:
I'm so jealous of all of you who have been able to do things in your nursery. My sister and her family are staying with us (also why I haven't been able to post as much) and my nephew is in what will be the nursery. I want to start working on it SO BAD but can't for a while while they're here.
Added purple to the mobile, the picture frames, and finished a simple blanket I was making for baby-no-name. If we ever decide on a name I'll do her first name or first initial in purple over the head of her crib. Otherwise I just need to organize the closet
Our nursery has a travel theme. DH and I are still waiting on the crib skirt, rocker, and changing pad for the dresser but it is definitely getting me more excited for baby
Our (soon to be) nursery was where we had stored thing and our pups crate was where she sleeps while we are at work. Needless to say she is not happy about giving up 'her' room or she is under the impression we are redecorating for her! She sat her butt right on baby girl's new throw rug!
I'm jealous of all these gorgeous nurseries! We are being restationed shortly after little girl is born and she'll be sleeping in a bassinet in our room until then, so we're not bothering to set much up now. I'm planning to get some cute throw pillows for the couch in the guest room/nursery soon though.

@meggyme I'm kind of in the same boat! We're getting stationed somewhere across country, most likely, about 4 months after baby girl gets here so my husband is really hesitant about buying anymore furniture or big items that we'll have to move. I want to be able to decorate and set up a full nursery so bad!
Picture overload! Sorry lol. We did soooo much work on the nursery this week. I got the crib and changing table set second hand for less than $200 for both! So excited about it. The bookshelf and the tall dresser were a natural wood color because my husbands father had actually made those pieces so we sanded and painted them white and now they will be used in the nursery! I need to also reupholster the rocking chair that I got second hand as well (yikes I don't even know where to start). I find myself going in there at night after work and sitting down... Basking in the happiness of the room. Soon there will be babies in these nurseries! ❤️
Not too much has changed, but we've got things on the wall & I finally got a pillow form for the pillow case I ordered. The stuff on the shelf & the placement of the skinny shelf are just temporary. I want to add a library wall, as well.
Lambs & Ivy has awesome clearance on their stuff on their web page. There were elephants, Pirates, animal lamps, and so many cute girly things. Worth checking out...
