The cramping but only on the right side, the weird sometimes painful vaginal twinges, peeing every half hour not because I  necessarily half to but because I am checking for blood, and on/off nausea. I will take it all as long as it means my baby is healthy!

  • 10 weeks now, and this fatigue is getting old! Baby doesn't seem to understand that mommy has to work (not to mention the hour train to/from work everyday). The MS is under control for the most part with medication, but it still flares up around 8PM or so. DH keeps offering to cook dinner but he makes a HUGE mess that I end up cleaning - it's easier to just do it myself.

Kaessi YES to the tooth sensitivity!! Right where my teeth meet my gums has been crazy sensitive for about 3 weeks. Being extra diligent with brushing/Listerine seems to help - I asked my ob at my appt yesterday and she wasn't concerned.

  • All day today I have been SO HUNGRY.  I have spent most of the day waiting for the next time I can eat. Ugh.

  • Been looking at baby registry items and came across "The Windi" that helps relieve baby farts:

And part of me wants to try it on myself to see if it would relieve these gas cramps.

  • @simcal18 @depineta @von1976 Yes, so much stuffiness! I have a big glass of water next to the bed every night because I am mouth breathing and so dried out! Not to mention I am drooling like a St. Bernard. It is revolting.

@Kaessi my teeth haven't been too bad yet, but my dentist told me not to be concerned if my gums start bleeding because pregnancy gingivitis is really common  :/

@LMNOBaby I have been dizzy, too. In my case I suspect it's blood pressure related so I need to keep hydrated and up my salt like @books&icecream

  • What the heck! I've been feeling great the last 2 weeks and then hello 9 weeks! I feel so nauseous and like I have a fever. I really thought I was over this.

I woke up feeling pretty good...which means it'll probably be a nauseated evening for me. But I'm fine with that. I did buy FULL FAT ice cream last night, which is something I've never done before. I always make sure it's the 1/3 less fat or frozen yogurt. It's the Breyer's Ice Cream Cake. And it's delicious. It tastes just like an ice cream cake.

I did just break down and order a fetal doppler. I always thought people who did that were crazy. I don't think my constant "what if" thoughts are going to go away, so I think it will bring me some peace when I get far enough along to use it.

  • What are the dangers of sleeping on your back while pregnant? Is it only once you start to show that you should stop? I ask because last night, I woke up twice on my back and gasping for breath as if I hadn't been breathing. It was kinda scary. I've never had any issues with sleep apnea, snoring, or anything along those lines and I can't figure out why it happened twice in one night.

When your uterus gets larger, the weight of it reduces blood flow to your heart and your baby.

Gotcha, so it's nothing I need to worry about right now. I wonder what was up last night. Maybe I just woke up from crazy dreams that I don't remember or something. Thanks!

  • My hip/back is killing me. Mainly, my left side but sometimes it will switch to the right.

@MRSCORKER I keep waking up on my back too and it worries me. I have always slept on my back so this is an adjustment.

I bought a pregnancy pillow because I kept waking up with back/hip pain. It has helped a lot!
Also, I don't normally sleep on my back but I guess I must have rolled over in my sleep and ended up there. I imagine once I have a big bump it won't be as easy to roll over in my sleep so I doubt it will happen.

  • My newest symptom: no symptoms. That sucks, btw.

Boobs don't hurt anymore, the only nausea I'm getting is from my sinus infection drainage, and I'm not AS tired as I was. I had no dreams last night (but kinda hoping that could be because the sinus infection and lavender lotion knocked me out).  7w5d today and it feels like everything disappeared. Seeing so many farewells makes me think the 97% I'm at now isn't true.

Still irrational and emotional. Maybe I should stop worrying.

  • @MRSCORKER My husband woke up the other night having rolled into a crazy position and also gasping/almost yelling, but since he pulled me out of it I know it was definitely a nightmare. Those vivid dreams are no joke!

@lmno304 and @suzy311, I am WITH YOU on the crazy itchy, dry skin! The only lotion that seems to be cutting it for me is the Body Shop body butter (shea to me is a really mild, non-irritating scent) that I basically coat myself with as soon as I get out of the shower, and again at night. I also just started using Clinique's turnaround moisturizers (overnight and daytime) and it's great; I highly recommend getting a sample from your local Sephora or makeup counter. Somehow none of my other lotions and potions have been cutting it!
  • @samijrichards can we please be friends?? I'm feeling the SAME WAY. I'm 7w 6d and woke up without really any symptoms and it's freaking me out. I have my first appointment with my OB next Wednesday (I was with an RE previously) and I don't know if she was planning on an ultrasound but I'm going to pretty much insist on one because I'm a freak.

  • @CaptainPhasma If you read the directions, it says to massage the stomach a certain way before inserting. Just massage your tummy that way! You don't really need this to open your passage since you're probably aware enough of your sphincter muscles to push out a fart that's almost there! All the windi really does is hold the butthole open for the air to escape freely. My bet is the "magic" is in the massage.

  • @MorganL925 yes! Friends! Lol

I have one last appointment with my RE next week and then I'm off to an OB. I actually should probably call and schedule that appointment today. I hate feeling sick and then as soon as I feel normal, I'm pissed! No cramping or spotting so I'm just taking it as it comes, I guess.
  • Ok ladies I need some help...my scalp has been super itchy for the past few weeks...didn't really think about it too much but them my husband pointed out some redness on the back of my neck where my hair is this morning. So I think I need to change shampoos. I currently use Dove and have used that for many many years, but I think the chemicals in the stuff is not working well with my pregnant sensitive skin  :s So any suggestions for a new shampoo is greatly appreciated and ones that are not terribly expensive would be great as well!!!

  • @ejmo68 - do you have any flaking? You should maybe see a dermatologist. I would recommend something really neutral, but I don't have any recommendations off the top of my head. Something unscented, if possible, would probably be good.

Does anyone work an office job/sit in a desk chair for prolonged periods? The past week or so, I've become increasingly uncomfortable. My back and tail bone kill me the later part of the day and into the evening. It's so weird.

  • @ejmo68 what about maybe trying out some baby shampoo?  I bet those are for the most part chemical-free?  Also, whenever my mom reacted to a shampoo, her scalp would get red and itchy...the only thing that helped her was Aloe Vera.  We had the plant, so we could slice a leaf, take the inside "goo" (kinda looks like jelly) and she would rub that on her scalp.  Always worked like a charm.

My latest symptom is pretty gross.  This morning, SO and I had sex, so I was expecting spotting.  After, I used the toilet and had a BM, and I guess I strained too hard?  I dunno... but I wiped and saw bright red blood!  I was freaking the F out.  Only to realize the blood was coming from my butt and not my vajj (thank God!).  But oh Lord, does this mean the start of hemorrhoids?  Ugh.
  • I have had a very irritating yeast infection for about three weeks. After a week and a half, I went to the Dr who prescribed a low dosage Canesten 1% cream. After the 6 days of usage, it has not gone away. I call for another Dr appt, but I can't get in until next Thursday. Very frustrating; makes work and life harder.
Anyone else experiencing this? What helps? Can this harm baby?
  • I'm 7w3days. I feel like i've been pretty lucky so far.... my boobs hurt weeks 4-6, have gotten a little bigger but have stopped hurting... I do have some new veins popping up (I'll take them with the bigger boobs:)) Since they stopped hurting, i've noticed i continually wake up through the night pee.... 2a, 4a...and CRAZY dreams. I also always wake up feeling a little hungover (dull headache, dizzy). No MS though!
  • @littlewillie2016 I'm about to get very personal with you, internet stranger.
I haven't had any yeast issues during this pregnancy, but had some trouble a few years ago when I was getting them constantly. My doctor gave me some weird advice that I still swear by: blow dry your vulva on cold for a few minutes after you get out of the shower (or whenever you're feeling uncomfortable). It kind of dries you out prevents the infection from getting worse. She also had me take probiotics, although I'm not sure if that's ok during pregnancy. But I still do the blow dry trick every day. Good luck, I know these things are just terrible.
  • depineta Thanks Internet Stranger. Ha.
I can see how that will bring relief. Does sound different, but I am down for anything at this point. For probiotics, I guess I should start eating yogurt. Even though I hate it. Thanks for your advice!
  • @littlewillie2016 I had a pretty nasty yeast infection a couple of weeks ago. Splits and cracks around the Labia and everything. Probiotics worked wonders. That and yogurt. Healed up right away after I started drinking a daily one!

Yes, I've noticed the same thing. I've been coming up with reasons to get up and walk around as much as possible.
All of this. At 10w5d, I feel like my hips are pulling apart. Walking helps, but I have to do it for at least 5 minutes to get any releif. My pregnancy pillow helps too, but I have been so uncomfortable sleeping that it often winds up on the floor a couple times each night. (Then my hips hurt, so I wake up, find it, repeat...)
  • For those who are having trouble sleeping due to hip/back pain, you may want to try sleeping on the sofa. I've been sleeping on the sofa for a week or so because my hips sort of dip down into where the two seat cushions meet and it makes my back straight. It helps soooo much (also I'm sleeping on the sofa because of pregnancy insomnia and I watch tv when I can't sleep). The only bummer.... Sleeping separated from DH :( but I keep telling him I'll see him back in bed in 2nd tri ha!

I have a desk job and I know this pain all too well! I get up and walk around for 10 minutes at least 4 times everyday, but I was still having issues with discomfort so I bought a super plush cushion for my chair. My tush is much happier now!

  • I'm so happy to know I'm not alone in the chair pain. I hadn't connected it to pregnancy because I haven't read anything about it, but realized it just came out of no where about a week ago. I've tried changing chairs and brought in a pillow today. I think I'm going to have to order a butt and back orthopedic pillows from Amazon or something.

  • Yesterday I felt fantastic. The only things I had going on were sore boobs and bad skin. I ate well, was in a good mood, had a ton of energy, and ran a mile in addition to making it to my gym class.

Today: Everything hurts and I'm dying. Terrible mood, terrible skin, no appetite and everything but peppermint candy is gross anyway, headache all day, have almost cried about 4 times over work nonsense, and just general "ugh/blah I want to go to bed for 4 days, leave me alone" feeling.

But I'm right there with ya! I feel disgusting. Skin, hair, body. It's all terrible. I hate my body right now-both how it looks and how it feels.
  • @rebeccuh & @jdmrs Yes to all of this. I feel gross & look like a giant blowfish because I'm so bloated & I want nothing more but to go home, put on stretchy pants & nap for hours.
  • Pregnancy brain for sure, got my son across town this morning for daycare before i realized I was still in my slippers, and then i forgot to clock in at work once i finally got there! Other than that just sore boobs (only at night though) its always nerve wracking not having symptoms because you just never know and dont "feel" pregnant yet!
