Also, I've replaced lunch-time yoga with lunch-time naps. I'm a pro at napping now.
(Of course the PGAL in me is SO grateful and wouldn't have it any other way!)
Other than that, fatigue, and round ligament pain are the big things for me. I get scared to stand up sometimes because of the pain.
Sipping gatorade on the couch..
Honestly, I'm really trying to stay positive lately. This first trimester has been depressing with the nausea and exhaustion and on top of that I feel like I haven't been a great mom lately because I'm only functioning at about 60%. And I look like I've gained 10 lbs so that's a bit depressing too. I keep trying to tell myself that I'm so blessed to have this baby growing in me and that even though it feels like it will last forever, it will be May soon enough and I'll be in the 2nd trimester and life will be good.
Anyone else feel like they are trying to keep positive thoughts in their head and finding it difficult? Any tips?
@cd92007 I feel you. My symptoms have been much stronger this pregnancy and, because I have to chase around an almost-2 year-old now, I can't just rest when I'm tired. He ends up playing by himself more than usual and I've given in and allowed him to watch Daniel Tiger even though we wanted to be screen free until 2. I feel like a terrible mother. I'm sorry I don't have any tips to stay positive. I mostly just complain a lot to my husband. That helps sometimes.
Part of it I think is that I just miss my mom. (She passed away 10 years ago). I have so many questions that only she could answer. And I need her soothing ways & reassurance! See the "Mothers say the darnedest things" thread to get an idea about interactions with my MIL. Not exactly the compassionate sort. And my only sister is 7 years older & so excited for be, but she's never been pregnant & can't exactly relate. Have only told a few limited friends & I'm just kinda feeling lonley right now I guess.
Wow, I'm being awfully whiney. Sorry y'all!

My two main complaints are total exhaustion and GOD AWFUL back pain. Anyone else experiencing this? I didn't have it this early last pregnancy. I barely feel like I can stand up straight for a few minutes without experiencing aching pains. If they are this bad now, I dread the third trimester!

My symptoms at 7w3d are weird. I get a little queasy if I don't eat when I'm hungry, my stomach immediately hurts and turns into a tummy ache as soon as I step foot outside of my house and have to wear real clothes (seriously, I get an upset stomach every time we leave the house), my boobs still hurt and I get cold-like symptoms every morning when I wake up. The crazy dreams every night are nuts, but I sleep so hard from being exhausted that they go all night. Last night I dreamt we lost one of the twins. I'm just glad I'm not puking everywhere, but I've read a lot of women pregnant with twins don't have MS as bad as singletons for some reason.
My #1 symptom is extreme tiredness. I work a 9 hour day, then go pick up my school-aged children, then home, dinner, tidying up, homework, baths, bedtime routine. And by 5:30 I am yawning uncontrollably and sluggish so all of it feels like torture!
#2 - back pain and lower ligament pain
#3 - always needing to pee.
But for me, feeling symptoms is a comfort in a way. That things are OK for now

Also, not sure if you've discussed it with your docs yet, or if you've had similar problems, but I have a history of vaginal fistulas (sorry for the TMI), so I had 2 c-sections (and will have a 3rd). The potential complications from labor are too significant to risk it.
