If you really start thinking about "point," it's pointless to vote at all if you're not in a swing state. Oregon votes Democrat every time anyway. Although I think it a state were finally going to get a majority vote for a third party, it would be a weird state like Oregon. And if you really think about it, all life is pretty pointless so our president doesn't even matter.
I always laugh at Oregon. People assume that most of Oregon is what they see from Portland. Nope. We've got this cluster of hippies, hipsters, and super liberals all in one general area who are surrounded by a lower population of conservatives. I know I'm out of the liberal area when I start seeing religious billboards.
