Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Winter boots can suck it. I have to sit down and rest for five minutes after getting them on and tied up. I don't care that you're not supposed to wear flip flops during pregnancy, I am putting them on as soon as the snow is gone!
Rave: I can still zip up my winter coat - if it can last me just a few more weeks I'll have gotten away without having to buy a stupid expensive winter maternity jacket. Woo! (full disclosure, I did pop the zipper open once while lifting up DS - but I fixed it)
Symptoms: heartburn. sadly it hits the worst with chocolate - it's like, as soon as I put the chocolate in my mouth I can feel it coming on. (side note: I had an American chocolate bar yesterday. called a whatchamacallit or something like that. it was DEEEEEEEELICIOUS.)
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Exposing him to the art of binge-watching Netflix?
Questions? Nopers.
GTKY: Favorite hobby? Softball. H and I play on two teams each, all summer. I LOVE IT. I could play it everyday. More grown up hobbies include baking, gardening and sitting on my deck drinking beer (that's a hobby right?)

@crdo - The tub (it is a drop in tub...a 6 foot one too!) built-in has to be tiled and grouted and the shower grouted this weekend. After that the plumber takes over to install the toilet, the vanity, the shower fixture (and shower glass doors), the bath fixtures, etc. We are getting close!!!

Yaaay! Sounds like it'll be a gorgeous bathroom. Pics when it's done please!

You better believe I'll AW the hell out of it. Last big project before the nursery (which is a "fun" project)!!!
re: flipflops. I thought someone on here said that it's bad? I have no idea. I know somebody has said that to me - something either about lack of support, or your feet expanding and not 'shrinking' back if you're always wearing flip flops? God it sounds pretty dumb typing it but I swear someone said that. I have no medical references to back any of this up.

Thanks for everyone's input about detergent. I probably could have googled that but y'all's opinions are better than google's.
@mkemommy The armoire is currently just stained a color that I don't think coordinates with the rest of the natural wood that will be in the nursery. I'm planning on doing a light sanding and restaining it. Apparently, Minwax Polyshades can be put over an existing stain (if your end staind is intended to be darker) as long as it's been lightly sanded, which gets me out of stripping the current finish so, we'll see how that goes. Any suggestions from experienced refinishers?

I say wear all the flip flops!!!!!!!
Oh, I am stocking up on my $4 Old Navy flops as soon as they hit the shelves. I don't care if I have the grossest most giant feet known to man, afterwards. Flops 4 eva.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: my hips ACHED sooooo bad last night even with my preggo pillow!
Rave: it's my birthday too! 26 for me today my dad (who usually just says happy birthday, no card, nothing else) showed up in my driveway, told me to get dressed because he was taking me to breakfast! AND construction on our house starts next week!
Symptoms: fatigueeeeeeee. PREGNANCY BRAIN.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? My parents bought us the glider and crib off our registry so my amazing DH put those together. Also, we start building our house next week!
Questions? Nothing I can think of!
GTKY: Favorite hobby?? martial arts! Krav Maga, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, some traditional karate. It's also my job, I'm super lucky! Oh and doggy snuggling. They are my babies
dennyandlee - my dr said that any free and clear was fine for baby!
How far along are you? 26w2d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Since we had such a warm winter, I think summer is already here in Texas.. Had to sleep with 2 fans on and the A/C on 67 last night. Rave: H is finally getting motivated to put the nursery together! He's been off all week so my house/garage are spotless! Symptoms: RLP, PUPPP rash, sore nipples, rib pain, my skin is so dry there is absolutely nothing I can do to moisturize enough..
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Going shopping this weekend at a HUGE craft fair sort of thing, hopfully I can get some cool things for the nursery!
Questions? Any moisturizing tips?? I sleep with a humidifier on every night, put in shower lotion on then baby oil in the shower, almond oil in the morning, cocoa butter through the day when I start to feel itchy.. still have skin literally peeling off... UGH!
GTKY: Favorite hobby? I wish I could count sleeping.... I love to work in my flower garden and bake!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave, I finally have been back to working out 2-3x per week. Rant, I feel like a cow. I have gained a lot over the last week and I am not a happy camper. I know it is a great thing growing a baby, but I am trying to not gain too much weight! Symptoms: weird dreams!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I am working on the nursery and have been potty training my 2 year old!!!
I feel for you guys who are having constant heartburn. Mine was only in first trimester. I'm thinking this baby is gonna come out bald as a cueball or with peach fuzz for hair! lol
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Between getting up to pee 4x last night, my incredibly sore back, & restless legs...I barely got any sleep last night. So...damn...tired... Rave: It's Friday, the sun is shining, & I don't have to work! Symptoms: Heartburn, RLP, headaches, exhaustion, restless legs & a sore back...pregnancy is a BLAST!
I've had really bad restless legs this pregnancy. Google said it could be iron related, dr said calcium, and a friend said magnesium. I figure since I have three guys draining me of nutrients, it could be any or all of it so I started supplements for all three (after asking the dr). It's really helped. I take two tums with lunch and two at night, an iron supplement at lunch, and drink a CALM magnesium + calcium supplement at night. I also take baths at night sometimes to help with back pain but to calm my muscles/nerves as well. I take unisom every night which helps a bit with falling asleep at the beginning and when peeing/restless legs/etc wake me up.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
How far along are you? 24 weeks today - YAY FOR V Day!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: (I posted this yesterday in randoms but) I'm raving because yesterday I scored a rarely used Uppa Baby Vista for $175 off of a facebook group. Its a 2013 and it mint condition. The woman was so nice, she said she was obsessed with strollers and she bought 4 of them so her husband was making her get rid of one. Win for me!!!! Its not the blue I was going to buy but its a pretty off white color (which she kept immaculate, not a mark on it) so it works for gender neutral. Also, when I was removing the new one from our registry I noticed that someone bought the first item off of our registry already!! Shower invites haven't gone out yet, so that made me take pause & be like, oh wow this is real!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Stalking more FB groups for good deals and refining my registry further now that I know its out there!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: The horrible, horrible, toes curl up backwards like the Wicked Witch of the West leg and foot cramps have arrived. I have them occasionally anyway, but they get worse when I'm pregnant.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I got new diapers in the mail yesterday (we cloth diaper) and they are so cute and tiny. I forgot how tiny!
Questions?
GTKY: Favorite hobby? Reading and cooking. But mostly I love having a whole day my myself to read.
