Everything I've read said they're super amazing. I got them on Amazon, for what it's worth.

    3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3)  - #3 due March 30!

Genius! And I'll blame Mike for putting me in diapers prematurely because he's the one who got me pregnant. I blame pretty much all of the gross/uncomfortable symptoms on him :D

I ordered some on Amazon yesterday, haha! :)
  • Publix has a mobile coupon for depends if anyone is interested >.>

We just got a gift card for target from fiancé's SIL. I just ordered some nursing tanks, some fox bathroom stuff for LO, and a rug for the nursery :D
  • After house hunting for an entire week (haha), dh and I decided to rent another year in order to save a better down payment.  Unfortunately, we still have to move like, last month, because we need another bedroom even without the baby. Crossing fingers that the bigger place I found this afternoon comes through!

I just walked into the living room. My dad is watching Knocked Up. It's the awkward pregnancy sex scene. I immidiately turned around and went the other way.
I HATE that movie. I walked out of the theater on that one.

I keep walking in on extremely weird or inaccurate scenes... At one point my parents started asking questions about pregnancy tests and how many you need to take. My dad kept saying that you only need to take one to know if you are or are not pregnant. He got an entire lecture about cycles, the accuracy of pregnancy tests, why it's good to test again a week later even if you get a BFP, etc. I also called BS when they did the ultrasound when she's supposed to be about 8/9 weeks pregnant. Ummm, that's not what a 9 weeks looks like. My first ultrasound with LO was at 9 weeks, and he did not look like a circular blob. He looked like an alien.

  • It's weird, my exclusively indoor cat all of a sudden wants to escape. He keeps trying to run out the door whenever we let the dogs in or out. I don't understand this behavior.
  • We're in the process of selling a rental property and I can't decide if I'm being unreasonable about something because I'm certainly reacting emotionally (why would I be emotional right now, hah!).  The buyer is paying toward the high end of what we thought the house would go for, BUT we're covering all of his closing expenses and some other items that makes the offer good but not great.  The home inspection has come back and he's asked us to fix basically every tiny thing the inspector found (which if you've seen a home inspection, you know is extremely detail-oriented).  I find this irritating because the house really is in excellent shape (it has a new a/c and we spent $3k in handyman work in advance of the sale fixing everything they could find); also I can't imagine the buyer would spend his own money on this stuff.  Anyway...I realize that I shouldn't really blame him for asking (what does it cost him?).  And I probably should have gotten an estimate for all of the work to see what it would cost before making any decision.  Instead we offered to drop the price by $1k and the buyer can walk if he likes.  We're not desperate to sell (we're between tenants and thought we would put our toe in the market since we bought it for speculation purposes and the price has already gone up sufficiently) and accepted this offer after it had gotten a lot of interest and only been on the market a week, but I realize I'm possibly cutting off my nose to spite my face because I'm sure the next set of buyers will irritate me too.  Ugh, that was boring even to me, but that's what's on my mind.

If it makes you feel any better we sold our house back in October. The woman asked for a lot of things to be fixed that weren't already agreed upon. We WERE desperate to sell but still told her no because financially we couldn't afford those fixes. She continued with the sale though because she was already getting a great deal. Hopefully your buyer is like that!

I sold my old house last year and the buyer was like that. Wanted the roof cleaned of debris (pine needles), wanted electrical outlet covers that were cracked replaced, wanted a new fan in the bathroom bc the old one was "noisy". We fixed like 3 easy things and told him no on the rest. His gf wanted the house, so he wasn't going to walk away.

  • Can baby still turn around if he's dropped already? Midwife told me yesterday that she was pretty sure that his head had dropped down to my pelvis, but does that mean he can't turn any longer and be breach? It would be a relief to stop worrying about that.

My midwife said it's very unlikely for a first time mom. In a mom who's had several kids where the uterus is a lot more pliable, they see the babies moving back out of position more often, but FTMs they usually settle in and stay.

Mine is still transverse, and has been so for 2 months! It doesn't seem that he has any interested in changing positions… When I wake up in the morning he is oblique, then once I am up and about he goes back to transverse again. He has actually gone the trouble of doing a whole 180o (i.e.: from head on the left transverse to head on the right transverse), but doesn't want to flip upside down. A non-conformitst already… Imagine his teen years. :D
Mine decided to move from transverse to head down finally as of yesterday. I felt a big roll yesterday morning so I scanned myself at work and she decided head down was more comfortable.
Now the kicks are in my ribs not my side. Not as much fun  :s

Agreed! We only had the a/s this time around and it's weird after all the extra scans we had with DD (weekly from 35 weeks on). I'm glad to not need them, but I'm jealous of people who get to see their LOs.

When DH and I bought our house we had a ton of things come back on the inspection. The seller refused to fix almost everything except the 3 things that were mandatory. We still went forward and bought the house but buying/selling and moving in are some of the most stressful times! I give you so much credit doing it while expecting! I'm not an anxious person yet had a nervous breakdown after we moved it. Good luck!!

    Well that's good!
My baby is awake right now and wiggling a ton, I can literally feel it everywhere... On my left waist, right under my sternum, around my belly button... I have to say I like his transverse position, as he doesnt sit on my bladder, bend my bowels or squishes my stomach...

  • I have misplaced my debit card. I'm not going to cancel it because I am 99.9% sure that I put it somewhere and just forgot rather than it's actually "lost" but it's really been an inconvenience these last few days. It's probably stuck between some crap in my purse.

I second the 3D scan. Sometimes it's creepy sometimes it's cute depending on the angle.

i have to have an ultrasound every 2 weeks at my high risk appointment and it's pretty neat to see her all the time but when I scanned myself real quick at work I noticed her eyes were open and she looked like a little demon and for the first time I was like .... Ummmmm ok she's head down I'm done looking for today.
Not sure why I found it so creepy being that it's my precious baby in there but it was honestly weird

Didn't get any 3D with LO, but we did with DS.

  • I love the people that work at the coffee place I go to. It's a drive through but they are always so friendly and I told one of them I was pregnant and she didn't act like she judged me at all. I'm surprised they are rude anywhere because in my experience at coffee places in general, coffee shop workers are the nicest for some reason and I have repeatedly wondered how they are so nice all the time.
