  • @susykat77 I know it's frustrating. Hoping you have done that are good for transfer. We have one embryo after PGS testing. I start estrogen pills and patches tonight. Hope everyone is doing well.

@knottie1432834683 - How frustrating!  Don't give up.  I feel for you on your journey - hoping and praying the best for you.

vssbrm - Hang in there!  I thought some of the same things when I went through my fresh cycle in July 2014.  *WARNING* Are you prescribed progesterone in oil?  That is the worst one.  I was very lucky for success in my fresh cycle, and I counted down the days to stop that darn butt shot.  Until I was still pregnant, had massive hot flashes (because I was making enough progesterone) and able to stop the shots.  I didn't want to.  I kind of freaked out ... because even though I wanted to stop them, I associated them with keeping me pregnant.  Oh the strange ride we go through to achieve our dreams!

@AandDM2014 - Congratulations!  Sending you lots of wishes for a wonderful test result tomorrow!!

susykat77 - Checking in on you...I feel like I haven't seen a recent post.  I hope you are doing okay.

AFM - Just continuing the meds.  Did the E2V butt shot Friday for the first time ... so much better than the progesterone in oil.  I told my husband, easy-peasy.  I know he doesn't love giving me the shots (I have him give all of them), but I think it makes a good partnership through the journey.  I have my intralipids on Friday ... need to make sure to download a movie on the iPad or something.  The clinic is directly under radiology at a hospital, and there is no wireless reception.  Learned that the hard way my first time through...
  • @stranzm I am so not looking forward to the PIO, but we gotta do what we gotta do! Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.

AFM: my ovaries feel huge, when I sit down it feels like they move into my rib cage, and I think they are pressing on my bladder, I have to pee all the time! Have a monitoring apt tmrw, looking forward to what they have to say!

I hope everyone has a great week!

  • @vssbrm the PIO shots are somewhat of a b*tch, but you kinda get used to having a hard butt and pain pretty much all the time. And if it gets you that take home baby, it is so worth it! Did you start stimming on the 22nd? Girl, that is only 6 days of meds. That is nothing! Have you seen yet how large your ovaries actually are yet, or is tomorrow your first appointment?

  • Hey ladies! *waves sheepishly*

I am prepping for a FET in mid-March... am I in the right place?  If so, looking forward to connecting with you all!  (And if I'm not in the right place, would someone mind linking me?  I'm new(ish) to this forum and still finding my way around.  (Thank you!)

    3 b2b IUIs on Gonal-F & Ovidrel = 3 BFNs
Round 1 of IVF in 2/16 = overstimmed with E2 of almost 6,000.  23 eggs retrieved, 17 mature, 15 fertilized, 8 blasts frozen on day 5.  Fresh cycle canceled due to too many eggs.

    Currently:
Recovering from moderate OHSS and prepping for a FET in March April (delayed another month due to ovaries 3x the normal size, filled with too many cysts, due to overstimming back in Jan/Feb).

salt+light Welcome! I did my stims in February, but my FET won't be until end of March or April, so I'll be joining that group as well! I love the verse in your signature!

  • @dragonfaerie

appointment went ok, the nurse warned me that I have a lot of eggs in there and should take it easy. No twisting, bending, lifting etc. so that ruins my plans for cleaning out our guest room today. This whole staying home thing had me a bit (ok, A LOT) stir crazy!! Not being able to do projects during the day is going to be miserable!!!

the nurse should call me around 2 pm today to let me know what the doc says and to give us next steps. Hopefully she will be able to give us an indication of when the doc says the retrieval will be.

@vssbrm I'm sure that was a hard decision, but I completely understand the need to leave a stressful job. Do you like to sew? I'm going to start trying to sew blankies and clothes, see how I like it. :)

  • @vssbrm I totally get ya about that. I too was working at a stressful, physical job and I left when we started ttc because I knew it was going to be too much. While it is nice being home, it can also be very boring. Especially when we're told we can't do anything, like during stims and after retrievals and transfers. I've found HBO and Amazon Prime video to be my great friends in the journey. It's easy to blow through a whole season of a show when you can do nothing but lay on the couch and get up to pee!

FET cycle #3 Transfer July 28th 2016, Triplets born healthy on February 26th 2017 at 33w1d!

  • Hi Ladies! I have been posting in the Jan/feb FET board but I think I belong over here! I did my retrieval in January but will be doing my FET March 16.
little bit about me. 34 sh is 36 with unexplained infertility.
Retieved 11 follicles of which 9 were mature. 7 fertilized with icsi but only 2 made it to day 5. And only one passed PGS. Praying that it only takes one!!! Just started my estrogen patch and pull this morning. PIO begins next Friday and transfer the following Wednesday.
Had my baseline today and everything looks good. I believe my lining was 7mm and no cysts.
There were a lot of successful FETs in the Jan/Feb group.
    Hopefully the trend continues!!!
  • FX for you @alexiskiriluk ! I'll be praying for a sticky embaby!

  • @salt+light and @vssbrm Hi ladies! I am currently working at a super stressful job and am applying for FMLA. If that is not granted to me I will also be leaving my job because I just don't think I will be able to work my current job and go through IVF. I'm sure I will go crazy at home and be bored but that's better than dealing with the stress of my job at the same time as IVF. Best of luck to you all!

  • milanjayla You have to do what's best, and you know your level of stress tolerance better than anyone.  (I'm a wedding planner and also kind of scared about the stress level of my job, plus IVF... so we're in this together!)

I just got a call from my nurse, and, bad news; my OHSS is still so bad that my right ovary is 3x the normal size, and I still have a bunch of huge cysts on CD3 of my (would-be) transfer month.  So they're having me wait until April for the transfer.  So bummed, and not sure how I'm going to handle another 30 days of bedrest (45 total!).   :s  So it looks like I won't be in this Feb/Mar transfer group, but I'll see any April ladies on the other side!
    Me = 33, DH = 34
Married for 5 years, TTC for 4 years

    History:
    3 MCs at 12wks, 8wks, 5wks = referred to RE in March '15
dx:  MFI (0% morphology, 18% motility)
    3 b2b IUIs on Gonal-F & Ovidrel = 3 BFNs
Round 1 of IVF in 2/16 = overstimmed with E2 of almost 6,000.  23 eggs retrieved, 17 mature, 15 fertilized, 8 blasts frozen on day 5.  Fresh cycle canceled due to too many eggs.

    Currently:
Recovering from moderate OHSS and prepping for a FET in March April (delayed another month due to ovaries 3x the normal size, filled with too many cysts, due to overstimming back in Jan/Feb).

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. --Romans 5:3-5 ESV
  • @salt+light I'm sorry to hear that you are being pushed back another month! I know how frustrating it is. Use this month as an opportunity to have a little vacation if you can (even if it's a staycation) and just enjoy the things you won't be allowed to have once you get that BFP! Praying for peace and healing for your body.

  • Ugh, feeling a bit low right now. Nurses always know best and the doctors don't know what they are talking about. We had originally been told by our doctor that our FET would be beginning of April, then my first IVF nurse (whom we no longer work with) told me it would be May. Since AF finally showed up today, I called in and my IVF nurse was telling me about my hysteroscopy, TET, etc. that I will have over the next month. I asked for clarification about my approximate timeline. I didn't realize that the prep meds are going to be about 6 weeks, just like the stim meds! So we are definitely looking at the beginning of May for the transfer. I have confidence in my clinic that they know what they are doing, but it's so hard to wait! I was hoping we would have a BFP by Mother's Day for my MIL (DH is an only child) but unless AF comes super early in March, that won't happen. It's just disappointing.

  • After my last retrieval a few weeks ago, I though I was going to move onto the next step. (FET) The doctor wanted to do a follow up saline sonogram, which happened today. My last one was over a year ago prior to my myomectomy. I was hoping that everything would be all clear to finally move on, but the doctor saw two small polyps. She wants to do a hysteroscopy next week to remove them. Shortly afterwards, I will stop the pill and prepare for the transfer. So I am closer, but have to take care of yet another obstacle before moving forward. The positive thing is that I have 5 frozen embryos that are all normal based on the PGD.

Since I've been through a myomectomy (6 weeks out of work last year) and 3 retrievals, I hope this procedure will not be a big deal. I just want to get it over with.
  • Hi all! I dropped off for a few weeks but now I'm back because I started on delestrogen today. My first FET should be around the third week of March.

Something has me a bit concerned. I was supposed to start my period but all I've had is brown spotting for two days. I was not on BCP. The RE started me on meds today (cycle day 2) but I'm concerned that either this isn't really my period yet (even though the timing is right) or it's too light of a period for me to be "cleaned out" and ready for an egg. The doc said this happens all the time, but I've never heard of it before. It's also very unusual for me, but I have pumped a lot of meds in my body over the last few months. Anyone else?
  • @dragonfaerie I am so sorry! You must feel like that is so far away!!! I was disappointed too. I feel like I started this whole process so long ago! Trust me when I say it will go by fast! In the mean time, enjoy your sushi and wine. Your transfer day will be here before you know it. What is the protocol with your RE? BCP? Talk to them, they Minipulate your cycle a little to make sure your period comes on time (at least mine did) Have you had your period since your retrieval? Hang in there.
  • Hey ladies. I finally got my results from my beta yesterday! It was about 75 hours after my first one (570) with results of 1610!!!! Yay!!!! I am thinking this is likely indicative of twins, which would be amazing!

  • @stranzm Thanks for the info! I'm just curious about everyone's cycles since every clinic seems to have different protocols. That's really cool about the intralipids, I'm glad that they have something for you! :)
@LynnNJ I'm sorry you have another hurdle to get through! Ugh, how frustrating. But yay for all your embabies! That's so great!
@alexiskiriluk Thank you for your kind words, they were just what I needed to hear. I haven't gotten my FET protocol yet, but I know it will involve a few weeks of BCP again, followed by adding the PIO and estrogen. I have my doppler, hysteroscopy and TET next Monday. AF arrived yesterday and is kicking my butt! God bless chocolate and ice cream and ibuprofen!
@AandDM2014 Wow lady! That's fantastic! Keep us posted! Will you have another beta?

  • @dragonfaerie - I just went in to the dr. today.. I started AF on Friday but that's only a few days earlier than you. I will be on BCP until the 18th. Starting Lupron on the 15th. Then I'll go on Estrace beginning the 25th, PIO April 8 for FET on the 12th. I know we had our ER on the same day so you should definitely call and ask about the calendar! IF AF started yesterday for you, you may be able to still have your FET before May.  Praying everything in the next week goes well & you find out dates soon :)

@AandDM2014 - congrats on the beta! So exciting!!!

@lynnNJ - praying everything goes well with the next procedure. All of the hurdles are so frustrating and you'd think we would all be used to waiting by now but it never gets easier!

  • @Griffin5413 I checked with my nurse yesterday. Even though I don't have the official calendar, she did tell me that they do a full month "wash-out" cycle before starting the FET protocol. So AF should start on the March 27th or thereabouts, and that's when I'll start BCPs.

  • @2015dee Thank you!! I don't yet know when I'll have an ultrasound. I emailed the results from the second beta to my nurses, but haven't heard back yet. As far as I know the plan is for me to go in on Friday and have another blood draw, then get the results on Saturday, when I'm guessing they'll tell me what to do next.

@dragonfaerie Thank you! I should have another one on Friday afternoon back at my clinic with results on Saturday.

    @Griffin5413 Thank you!!

FET cycle #3 Transfer July 28th 2016, Triplets born healthy on February 26th 2017 at 33w1d!

  • For those of you on estrogen patches and pills....are you exhausted. I can't keep my eyes open. And I'm eating like a mad lady.
  • @alexiskiriluk .. This is my second IVF and the estrogen pills and patches always make me sleepy.
  • I was on/lurking the Jan/feb group but this seems like the place to be! Happy to see some of you already had successes!
AFM my husband and I are both 31 w unexplained infertility. We just finished 2+ weeks of stims (which was stressful) and had our ER yesterday with 16 follicles retrieved. Got the call from the nurse that 6 fertilized so they are planning for a day 5 transfer Sat. For those of you doing acupuncture, I'm hoping to go again this week but can't decide if it better to wait til Friday just before the transfer.
Also, are the progesterone suppositories as bad as I hear they are?

  • @AandDM2014  Great news! I hope everything keeps developing :-)

@susykat I'm so sorry to hear about your
pancreatitis!  Not only does that suck, I'm sure, but I hope it doesn't delay your transfer.

AFM - I went in for my second hysterscopy yesterday and they discovered uterine adhesions as a result of the last hysterscopy/D&C.  Sigh - so now my FET is moved back for at least another 2 months. I go back in for another saline sono in Mid-April. Hopefully if that comes back clear I'll do my FET in May/June.Frustrated that I've been pushed back again but what to do. Hoping that you all have many BFPs in the meantime!
