  • @HBamama2B - it was a lot easier than I thought it would be! Off to revel in the nonsense :)

  • Just read the thread!  I really think it was MUD.   Either way, I have a UO.  I don't care if someone wants to induce electively.  So long as their doctor allows it, it's not my business.  I wouldn't do it.  I think they are weird, especially since inductions are more likely to be painful and/or lead to C-sections, but whatever.  I was supposed to be induced last time just to be able to control my labor (blood clotting/bleeding out risks).  My water ended up breaking fairly early and all went well.  I have talked them out of induction this time unless something else comes up to make it medically necessary.  So, it seems last time it could have been optional as well?  Either way, I don't think they are TERRIBLE mothers for doing it.

  • Just read it...thanks for the heads-up ladies.  It went down well with my coffee.  ;)

How I feel when a thread gets closed down before I got to contribute...

And yet when I see one start and I know its going to crazy town quick...

  • I just opened that crazy thread on 3rd tri, looked for 2.5 seconds, and decided I couldn't deal with all thuh spelang ishuez. Nope. Not enough coffee today.
  • @crdo sometimes it's just so bad, even spell check can't help it

I haven't read the thread yet, off to read it now.

Followup: So, how does that even happen? If you're on mobile, do you specifically have to turn off autocorrect or spelling suggestions in order to come up with such atrocious spelling? If you're on a computer, does it even try to help you not sound like a total idiot, or is it like "nah, man, you're allll on your own"?
Oh God!  This made me spit out my coffee.  I just pictured a computer giving up on someone.

    ;)

Apparently these are the things I think about when momentarily avoiding productivity.

Just read the thread.  Maybe she thinks her way is right so she changes what spell check corrects it to back to how she thinks it should be--because she's so good at listening to other people's constructive opinions.
    Solved. That must be it.

  • That was one of those times where I felt myself losing brain cells reading her responses...I now just feel sorry for her child...
  • "Dontcha wish you had a Dr like mine???? =D"

Oh god that thread was gold.

YES. That was one of my favourites. Her doctor guaranteed her she'd have the baby in 24 hours because he cares about her and wouldn't want her to go through a long labour. hahaha. So great!

She's clearly a complete moron to assume that it's a guarantee she'd have baby within 24 hours. And delusional. If only.....

  • @sdnybrk so glad you're feeling better!!!

dude. It's FORTY EIGHT degrees in MINNESOTA in FEBRUARY!!! I have the windows wide open and am loving the fresh air.
  • Also, @NicknShan and @mrsschmity- we'll be in the TCs in a few weeks. Do either of you know of any cool stores that sell cloth dipes down there?
  • @mamanicoleof3 it's SIXTY-ONE in Chicago!  I took my daughter to the park, without a coat on.  It was amazing--and it wore her out to run around outside.  Double win.

75 here in mississippi today...we are having a lovely spring this winter

  • I have a very important question:
H got me a prenatal message for my birthday. I'm saving it until the 3rd tri. I am also going to get a pedi as well. I told H he wont see me for 24 hours because I plan on booking a hotel room.
My question..should I try to get the pedi and massage after H gets home from work or go eat dinner by myself, sleep all night in a king or do I want a queen size bed, then get massage and pedi and lunch the next day? Also, what color do I want my toes?! So many important decisions to make!
  • @sdnybrk ok, I'm over it :) I say go to dinner by yourself. Sleep in awesome hotel room and get up for your massage and pedi the next day. My go to color in the spring and early summer is usually a coral of some kind. Whatever you decide to do enjoy it for the rest of us!

    65 in GA!

@sdnybrk: Go eat by yourself, get a king bed, do the massage, pedi, and lunch the next day, and paint your toes a nice springy pink. Also, I'm jelly.

ETA: Skip dinner out and check into the hotel to order room service dinner. I'm totally blowing up the budget, but I'm an enabler :)
    This. Sounds like bliss.

@Fishwife799 my husband is in denial that I will be gone that long. I just plan on leaving and not coming back.

@crdo I've been hording my birthday and christmas money lol. Room service sounds nice.

I'm totally taking this mini vaca because I'm a SAHM of two toddlers and I'm about to go insane lol. Plus I told H I've been pregnant for 32 months of our less than 5 year marriage. Momma needs some me time lol. He actually thinks he is going to get to go camping with a friend in exchange for this..nope.
Then mama, you enjoy every second of your mini vacation and every delicious morsel of your room service meal!

Isn't it the best?!?!?! I took my daughter to Creve Coeur lake. I was hoping there'd be more sailboats on the water, but maybe it was too windy for them. Anyway, I hope you're getting to enjoy some of this awesomeness!

On the spelling issue, I actually have a coworker who is fairly new to our office and fresh out of law school. He sent me a bunch of deliverables with numerous spelling errors, so I started reminding him about spellcheck. He actually said, "But that's what you're for." :|

if you're too lazy to spell, I automatically think you're wearing dirty underwear. Idk why, but I do.

@sdnybrk bravo. My future self will take a page out of your book!!! Well earned mama!

Re: coworker.....uhhhhhhhh. What?!? Pull up your big boy pants, man. What the...?
  • I'll admit I generally have typos in my posts. My problem is proofreading. I get typing and hit send before I take a step back and look at what I wrote. I also swear that my phone is crazy. Because I will tap on words that are totally random or spelled wrong and it will show you what you wrote. I wrote what I wanted and for some crazy reason my phone corrects it to a word that doesn't fit or make sense. So I swear my underwear aren't dirty and I'm not an idiot lol

  • @fishwife799 lol. I do too, typos in every single one. I'm not nearly as judgy about quick internet posts as I am on critical legal documents where dude spells his program wrong, every time.

But that 3rd tri post- you have to work to be that bad!!! Yeesh. Definitely dirty underwear.
