FFFC

Re: FFFC

  • Another reasonable time to rehome a pet is military service. My parents got their first dog from friends who were re stationed to England. The puppy was 6 months old and would have to be in quarantine for 6 weeks if they took her. My parents took her instead and we had her for 16 years. Best dog ever!
I disagree. I know several people with dogs that were restationed to Japan and Guam, where a several month quarantine is required and housing may or may not allow dogs. They know that going overseas is a possibility, so deciding not to go through the process because it's a pain isn't an excuse. You wouldn't leave your children behind because there's extra paperwork, physicals and vaccines required.

Single military folks getting rid of pets because they're deployed/going overseas I feel should never have gotten a pet without having a plan for the inevitable, like having them temporarily stay with friends or family.

  • Lame confession: frequently I want to respond to posts based off of the title. Like the guess the sex post where the title says "boy or girl??!?" I just want to say "yes"
So much yes to this. I always have snarky responses in my head.

"Should I find a new doctor?"
    "Who the hell cares?!?"

You're right you wouldn't leave a child behind, but the child is just required to get a few shots. But keeping a puppy in a box at a vet for 6 weeks (quarantine was not at their home), they thought was cruel. The puppy was taken in by my parents who are their good friends.  This was also 32 years ago. Maybe I'm more ok with this particular situation because it's how we got the dog and I adored her.

Im seriously considering investing in a dildo because I'm becoming increasingly self conscious about my appearance during sex. If anyone has any recommendations lemme know.

@DeePaddy24 - Me too! I haven't found an acceptable substitute for dealing with work stress either so now instead of winding down with a glass of wine, I just go to sleep ridiculously early.

Me too. I guess this is a FFFC - I actually avoid going out to social activities where everyone else is drinking. I'm grumpy that I can't partake and I'd rather be at home in PJs and watching Netflix. I'm a hermit.
We had friends over last Saturday & everyone was drinking. I was so sad. The beer looked good, the wine looked good...& I just sat there bitterly drinking my water.
    June's soon, right?!

  • FFFC round two: My H has the day off and I'm stuck here working on paperwork texting him complaining that I have no motivation or focus and that I'm hungry. So when he offers to bring me lunch I selfishly say yes, even though that means driving all the way across town purely to bring me lunch to school.... whoops!
  • This is me today after having the stomach bug...this is all I got...

It's soon!!!! And we have the WHOLE summer to enjoy NOT being pregnant. Having both  August AND September kids (what was I thinking!?), this brings me immense joy.
  • Yep, you're welcome.  Haha.  These absent minded hyper-literal moments are getting more and more frequent for me and they make me giggle, too. AAANNNDDD I have a sick 2nd tri mind, so, yeah.
Dead serious - I had to read it twice because I thought the same thing.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • I finally have one...

So DH has a friend that I very strongly dislike. He's a bad influence and just not someone that I like around my family. He got this painting for DS's room and my husband thinks it's the best thing ever and wants to put it in his room on the wall.

I've had a lot of talks with DH about how I don't think it's fair for his friend to buy us art for our son's room and expect me to love it and want to put it up. I have a plan for DS's next room and it's not even close to the direction of this painting. I don't want want this painting on my son's wall so I have to look at it every day and think about his friend that I can't stand.

Soooo my flame free Friday, I'm putting up the biggest fuss over not liking this painting, when I really don't all that much dislike it. I dislike what it stands for. I think buying art for someone is rude unless you KNOW it's what they want and where they want to put it.
  • @MeganF08 and @crdo
i know its reasonable but I still miss her and I know she misses DS and myself! Shes the best and with these pregnancy hormones some days I would love to bring her manure smelling self home to cuddle!!
  • You ladies are making me laugh so hard at work, and when I'm laughing that hard I fart.. The lady right outside my office probably thinks I am insane! I agree with so many things on this thread! -- blaming farts on the dog, not in the mood for sex, NEED wine, and my H is actually trying to gain weight and eat more calories.. it makes me want to barf.
  • Agree with the cute and so pregnant comments! Seriously, they only thing DH is interested in is my chest.   I don't think he finds pregnant ladies attractive, including his wife.  For the 273737th time, you won't poke your darling son in the damn head.

Can we trade?  Pregnancy seems to be a huuuggeee turn on for H and I just can't keep pace with how often he's been in the mood.
  • Hehehe it took me a while to get it. Blame pregnancy brain.
