You asked a question against the TOS. We're not here to tell you you're totes preggers because you "feel pregnant" despite having someone literally look inside your uterus and tell you otherwise. Go read the pinned posts (specifically the Newbie guide) and Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Start charting.

I've been trying to decide what to say about the claim that you're a nurse and honestly, I just can't even.

Also so if you "know people" who have had negative tests before and been pregnant, why do you want further opinions from random internet strangers? Shouldn't you just have continued with your head in the clouds, assuming you are totes preggers and your negative tests and negative US were false?

And in response to your last comment: OF COURSE there's no medical opinions. This is an Internet forum. Welcome to the Internet, full of cats and people with medical degrees from Google University.

In that case, and I say this gently, come on OP. You're a nurse.

There are ways to know that you've ovulated. How do you know that you've in fact ovulated? Yes, it's possible that it's too early to tell but it's possible that you don't in fact know that you've actually ovulated. Please don't assume you are that exception to the rule, and we won't give you all the rare I didn't know I was pregnant anecdotes. I'm really not trying to be rude, but it sounds like you are speaking from unsound assumptions and not the nursing profession's hallmark dedication to evidence. The real answer is you really don't know, so wait and see. In the meantime, read TCOYF, the newbie threads, and hop into the daily threads. I'm a nurse and I love the science and support of this place.

OP, if your cycle truly hasn't changed and you ovulated as usual, you'd be 6 weeks pregnant if you are indeed 2 weeks 'late'. Your urine tests (home and office) were negative. Your ultrasound was negative. I get being hopeful. I think most of us could talk ourselves into believing we're ku at any point in our cycles. We all want the same thing.

For us to tell you that you're definitely pregnant despite all the evidence you've presented is not kind. We don't do that here. Most of us appreciate the reality check. It's necessary. It keeps us sane.

if you're a nurse, I'm sure you've had to calm down people who are having difficulty with their situation. That's what we're attempting to do. You very likely ovulated later than you think. It happens. For no reason. Temping will help you understand when you've ovulated so you know when to expect AF.

For the record though: Abortion clinics will not dose you with RU486 until you are 5wks along for the sole purpose of being able to finally see something on an ultrasound and to confirm its absence afterward. Even then, they can still miss products of conception at a follow-up requiring a D&C later when your uterus swells up like a 16wk pregnant chick with infection. Psst... still popped an HPT at 3 weeks and waiting 2 weeks was agony.

Before anyone attacks how I know: unreported sexual assault because 1.) he was my squad leader and 2.) we worked military corrections. Guess what facility they locked his ass up in? Take a gander at what conflict of interest there is when the military prosecuting body is the CO for both perp, victim, and the detaining body? Yeah, fun times.

OP, you're not the only nurse here, and I happen to be a nursing student that's about to graduate.

Good nurses follow evidence. The evidence VERY STRONGLY suggests that you are not pregnant.

Yes, false negatives can happen but they are very rare. If you think you have one, try another brand as it's possible for a batch of tests to be bad. But come on, ultrasound... it can pick something up at 5 weeks and change. That's quite early.

People providing useful information to someone who so clearly lacks information is the opposite of ignorant. You may want to look up the definition of that word before you go rudely hurling it around a people who gave you good information. I'm sorry you didn't like being called out for violating the TOU or asking a question that is truly impossible for us to answer, but there's no reason to make the statements you did. Also, if you used punctuation and capitalization, you *might* lend a little more credibility to your posts, although not much with the type of content you're putting out right now.

Well, yeah. This is TheBump not TheDoctor'sLounge or something. Most of us (all of us?) aren't doctors so if you wanted the opinion of doctors then you definitely asked in the wrong place. But I'm sure you knew that when you posted. So to now come back and be rude to us on the grounds that we didn't give you medical opinions is just... confusing.

I'd also like to point out that while there may have been a couple of people whose responses you felt were rude, there were also a lot of responses that weren't rude. Or at least, I don't see how some of the responses could possibly be seen as rude. So you could have at least been nice to the ladies who took their time to try to be helpful and nice. It wouldn't have killed you to have thanked them instead of of just acting like every single response you received was beyond stupid and unbelievably rude. One could make the argument that your responses were rude.

You asked if anyone has ever had a similar issue. Most of us assumed that meant "has anyone else been late but felt pregnant?" And several of us answered the question that you asked and shared what happened when we were late but felt pregnant. I'm not sure what else you wanted, honestly.

I'm sorry that you felt people were rude to you. But there just isn't much we could have said here other than what we did say.

ETA: I'd suggest that you stick around and start participating in the WTO/TWW threads. From what I can tell, you'd likely learn a lot. Plus you'd have other ladies going through the same TTC struggle for support and, for most of us, that really helps contain the TTC crazy.

@PensiveCrayon I probably could get through it. The command eventually put me in charge of the legal office and that entailed the pre-registration process for sex-offenders, the VW notification program (whenever an inmate changed custody status or was about to be released), and CODIS collection for felons. It was... empowering I think. I also ended up being a volunteer VW Advocate on the base and SART for the county off-base for a few years.

Really, anything they can do to take the command out of the prosecutor position would do a world of good for active-duty females. If the documentary highlights this aspect, I'm genuinely interested.

Our answers are based on logic, knowedge and awareness. I feel your post was ignorant.

I realise these responses can seem harsh but you broke TOU - you asked in a roundabout way if we think you are pregnant, which means you didnt read the forum rules or lurk the board. You asked a bunch of internet strangers if they would know better that your doctor and the ultrasound that you had.

These posts happen far too often and no one has the patience for it. If you still want to go ahead and create these kinds of posts then you should be aware there will be backlash.

@GhanimaAtreides Yep, taking the commanding officer out is exactly what the documentary is arguing, because of those completely awful situations when they're the ones doing the assaulting. DH is in the military and he's a major supporter of the documentary and the movement behind it.
