    CD: 38!

WAYDTGKU: Right now, I'm waiting until CD 45 to take provera and jump-start a cycle. Then crossing my fingers and praying like hell that I ovulate. :) And HIO, etc.

R/R/CS: I'm fine now that I've given up on this cycle.

GTKY: One thing I do too much of is consuming caffeine. I drink coffee (3 cups a day) and Diet Coke (2-3 a day), and it is starting to occur to me that I need to cut down for health and TTC purposes. :( One thing I do too little of is drinking water ...I am working on it, though!

    WAYDTGKU: tracking CM on FF

R/R/CS: Without keeping track of BBT or using OPKS, it's hard to tell, but I feel like I'm in the O. Mittelschmerz cramps and light spotting have continued. It's weird, because I honestly don't remember ever experiencing any of this before. The cramps suck but it's kind of cool to really be aware of the way my body changes in a cycle!

FF has today as my predicted O day, and I think I'll move on to TWW by Friday. Excited for my first TWW! @PennStateCait was very kind in assuring me it's possible to get KU by up to 4 days before O, but with my SO being sick and me not knowing when I O'd, I'm not really confident in our timing. I hope cycle 2 will work out better.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?

I get too much sleep and too little exercise. Trying to reverse that lol.

we eat out way too much - I did give up places with drive thrus for lent and have not "cheated" yet. I am with you @cjt121413 in that I struggle to drink enough water. I need to do so but I also need to do it throughout the day and not try to get it all in at night which then causes me to be up every hour peeing. Must find a balance lol

  • @babymishI hope you have an awesome trip! I can't give much input on NYC, as I've only been there once, but I'm sure some ladies will chime in.

@Marley629 Places with drive-thrus is a great idea of something to give up for lent. I was trying to give up restaurants completely....and, um, I had Chipotle for dinner last night. :)

Yep! It's a typical 10,000 lux lamp to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder. I do about an hour each morning before 9am from Oct-May.
  • @babymish - I second Ny pizza and bagels. They have tons of places all over to get a manicure under $10. Getting tea at the Plaza is super fun.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of? We definitely eat out too much. Now that DH works afternoons I've scaled back on that a lot. I also need to get back in the gym!

@babymish - I wanted to say that I live very close to the city! I wish I had good suggestions, but I seriously hate it lol.  Too crowded, gets my anxiety all cray. BUT, the Forever 21 in the heart of the city is sweetttttt. And I can definitely third the pizza. You won't find better anywhere!

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, BD ED/EOD

R/R/CS: I just learned about the effects of ibuprofen yesterday when trying to get KTFU. I'm on cycle 14!!! I have chronic backaches and headaches due to an injury when I was in high school and I pop ibuprofen like it's going out of style! 13 cycles and maybe if I wasn't an idiot I could already be KTFU. Now I realize this probably isn't the only reason, just frustrated about how it's even possible I didn't know about it!

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?
I spend WAAAAAY too much time on my phone, and I'm trying to cut back.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?

I'm going personal here instead of things - I get frustrated too often because I have very little patience.  I thought I'd become more patient being a parent... At the end of the day I don't want to 'do' for anyone after being so needed all day with a 2 year old.  Sometimes I feel bad for my H because I used to dote on him.

R/R/CS: 99% sure I O'd on CD28. Waiting for one more temp for CH. or not, since my temps are crazytown. And I turn 30 tomorrow. Feeling weird about that! Would be nice to move to TWW on my birthday!!

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?
I spend too much time reading! Like, I ignore all the stuff I need to do and just read. It's bad.
I don't spend enough time exercising. I was just sitting here thinking about how I need to work out after work today. It may or may not actually happen...I might read instead.

    WAYDTGKU: temping, cm, opks

R/R/CS: So I've been over in TWW with solid CH, even though something felt wrong about my temps. Well, I guess I'm back here now because FF took my CH away. :(. With those CH I had my first "high" timing. Now I'm pretty sure this will be another anovulatory cycle. I'm so sad. I just had an anovulatory cycle from Nov 3-January 2. They take me out of the game for way way too long, and one anovulatory was one thing, two so close together makes me think there may be a problem. And also, for the next two months H is going to be on a surgery rotation that will have him gone for an ungodly amount of hours, so I feel like if this one is anovulatory, I will be out for several months.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?
Too much eating, too little exercising.
  • @Marley629 I drink most my water between 6am and 5pm, then after that I only have about a cup or two with dinner to avoid getting up every hour during the night to pee.  I've always heard that it is important to drink a glass of water in the morning before anything else so I make sure to do that and I think it helps get my system going for the day.

@babymish I have never been to NYC, but enjoy your trip!

@beary67 I agree about the crazy posts!  I stopped opening them because I noticed myself getting too frustrated with them

GTKY:  I definitely go out to eat too much.  I need to work out more.  With my husband gone, I just don't do it as much because I use him as my personal coach haha

    WAYDTGKU: nothing at the moment

R/R/CS: after two days of spotting AF has officially arrived. Had a rough day yesterday (thank you to everyone over in the TWW for putting up with me :) )

feeling better about bout this cycle.  I think we will just take it easy.  I will temp because that doesn't stress me out and I like to have an idea of what is going on and track CM because, well, how can you not. But no Adv OPKs or wondfos.  I solemnly swear not to pee in anything. We will likely be closer to NTNP than true TTC but that is ok.  With the wedding I am in next year I figure a good compromise is just to take it easy this month.  If we get lucky and have good timing, then great.  If not... Then the break will be nice and we will be on to month 8.

I am also looking forward to my pap follow up tomorrow so that I can start asking some questions about things that sort of bother me (spotting, super light periods, shortish LP).

On on the non-TTC side of the house, I am really going to try to start getting myself in better shape this month.  I am down 1.5 pounds from last Wednesday (I only check on Wednesday) so that is good.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?

too much: eating junk food between meals

    too little: exercise
  • cjt121413 FX for your next cycle. Also, I completely understand the caffeine thing. I switched to a lot of fruit juices. Simply makes some awesome natural fruit juices plus I use it for popsicles for a healthy treat.

writeress Sorry if BBT is giving you some trouble this cycle. If you have any questions on tracking for next cycle, feel free to ask. Also, check CM and CP around now to get an idea if you're Oing.

Marley629 Nice job with not stressing. For water intake, I got the half gallon water jug from Walmart and fill it at the beginning of the day. You can mark where you need to be intake wise at certain times and keep track of it that way. But you will need to pee constantly. Unfortunately it is just part of it.

babymish That rise in your charts looks perfect. Enjoy visiting NY and the TWW.

GhanimaAtreides Hooray for the boring part of the cycle. I'm right there with you.

beary67. It is making me crazy!

sldp123 FX for your O date. And good luck drowning out your co-worker. I feel you on that one. My KU SIL is the topic of every family gathering. It makes me crazy.

R/R/CS: I had to start over with FF this cycle since it was all messed up with me not charting for a few months. Now I think it has my estimated fertility week too early as it gave me an LP longer than 11 days. Guess we'll just have to cover our bases with some extra BDing. Don't think DH will be too upset.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of? I watch way too much TV at night when I'm just trying to unwind. I really should be productive but the couch next to DH is just so comfy. Also, I have too much cleaning to do and don't do nearly enough. Between a dog, a cat, a gecko, and 3 large fish in a 55 gallon tank, I spend most of my time keeping up with their cleaning but I still have a lot of general house stuff that needs to get done after work.

I drink too much coffee. Not an extravagant amount but at least 2 cups a day. That's a lot when your TTC and might one day be KU so I don't know what to do about that..
and.. I eat out way too often. When looking FW gets too busy or I'm stressed we eat fast food all the time. I need to cut back and save some money! And my waist line..

R/R/CS: I ran out of my gummy PNVs so I've been taking the Target brand pills for the past few days. I've been feeling SO nauseous. Put two and two together. The reason I switched to gummies 8 months ago was that the Target ones were making me feel sick. Doh! I should have remembered. Off to get more gummies today...

I'm on Facebook WAY too much and I wish I read more.

@babymish So many recommendations. Depends on how much time you have! Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, WTC memorial, etc. are all must do's. But also, my favorite areas to explore are in Lower Manhattan (below 14th Street). The West Village is my absolute fave -- cobblestone streets, cute restaurants and great, tiny boutiques. Soho is also great for shopping, with tons of boutiques on the side streets and the big stores on Broadway, although what you want might be different from what I want. I go there for the three story Topshop. In terms of food, get as many bagels, pieces of pizza (literally, any pizza shop you see is good), white and black cookies, and bowls of matzoh ball soup that you can.

@cjt121413 & @beary67 I second the flavored sparkling waters to help ease the pain of dropping diet coke.  In my case, I stopped drinking coke 2 weeks ago (and i always had at least 1 a day) and I now drink LaCroix waters and it has helped so much with still having the carbonation and the pop of the can top.  :)
  • @babymish - how exciting for you!  The city is a wonderful place to visit.  Personally, I kind of agree @mrsdaddario about the craziness of it all but I like visiting there and then going home to the suburb's lol.  Anyway, I second @marley629 suggestions and would add Bryant Park (though it's much nicer in the Spring/Summer) and 5th Avenue if you're in the mood to splurge.  Also, if you like hot chocolate you should check out Serendipity 3 in the Upper East Side.  Lastly, checking out a Broadway show is a must provided you have the time - they usually have deeply discounted tickets at a booth in Times Square for seats that weren't purchased and you can catch the show that same day.  HAVE FUN!!!

R/R/CS:  this month we are TTC but I'm not going into it with high hopes because the time will be off with DH going away BUT for some reason I keep having a good feeling and I think it's mostly in part to the fact that often times we hear stories like - well we stopped trying or weren't really trying that month and then we got KU!  I guess the positive side of me is hoping for one of those stories <sigh>

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?

Hmmm, I do too much worrying, in general - about life and I need to stop because it's not healthy.  Generally speaking I'm a positive/optimistic person but I tend to try to live my life on a trajectory and then feel bummed when it doesn't pan out.  I need to get over it because in the end I always end up happy and that's all that should matter, not the timing.

As far as too little of - I'd say time for myself.  I'm always running somewhere, drop of DD at daycare, work, errands during lunch, pick up DD, Dinner, bedtime.  I know this is life when you have a child and I'm Blessed but it can get tiring and that's fine but I just need to find time for me.  That's my issue though, not my families.  DH is supportive but I need to be willing to tell myself "it's ok".

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?
I own way too many clothes.  Our walk in closet in DH and my bedroom is just of my clothes.  He has a closet across the house in the guest bedroom. So, when we start having kids, I am definitely going to have to downsize my wardrobe so he can fit all of his clothes into our shared closet. I have a problem with throwing away things, so I have clothes from high school that I never wear anymore. Like seriously, I am a clothes hoarder.

The thing I do too little of is exercise.  I really want to get back into it, especially since my husband is so sporty and athletic.

    WAYDTGKU: Everything

R/R/CS: CD 17 looked great for O but with today's temp I'm not sure.  My temps are nuts this cycle and I don't know what to think.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?  I worry a lot.  We just had a friend find out her husband is very ill, it reminded me to be grateful for what we have.
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI,
then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.

Due with #2 5/2/19 after HIO once in my FW,
because apparently that's how life works now. Team Blue!

R/R/CS: just that my endo pains are pretty bad and it makes it hard to feel ovulation sometimes.

WAYDTGKU:  OPKs, trying to time around O, EPO and trying not to stress out

GTKY: I never have enough sleep!  I should probably spend less time on the computer :)

@babymish: have fun in NYC!  Just wandering around is an amazing experience.  Central Park, lowertown, and Hell's Kitchen are worth a visit :)
  • @babymish I can't remember if you are one of the knit/crochet aficionados but in case you are, Purl SoHo is ah-mazing and super cute even if you aren't into their craft supply.  I haven't been but it's on my Mecca list.  On a previous visit, a friend and I dove into Don't Tell Mama (cabaret/piano bar in the theater district).  So good, so fun, a bit $$. The food in NY is insane...I would avoid the chain restaurants and opt for the independent stops.  I'd also love to hear your shopping suggestions after you go!  We have friends in Newport, RI and we'd love to visit them and make a trip to the city this year!  I would imagine Sherri Hill has a store in NYC and I'd love to go just to try on dresses.  Have a great time!

R/R/CS:  One week down, I'm good today.

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of?  Oh geez, I sleep way too much.  I can function on little sleep but could live on 10-12 hours a night.  I definitely keep in touch with my family far too little.

  • @babymish; i've never been but totes agree that you've gotta try NY style pizza (and CHICAGO STYLE if you ever get there- former Chicago girl here!) And NY Bagels, I've heard they are amazing! Have fun!

    @jmr1515; FX for DH!

@beary67; totally agree on reading! I would love to get back into that or find a way to join some sort of book club :)

@bender29; FX for more date nights, we could all use a bit more of that, love date night with DH!

@Lecool; ditto on the internetting, love that term!

@sparty18; if you lurk again- what LaCroix flavour should I try? I'm thinking Grapefruit?!

WAYDTGKU: BBT, FF, PNVs, BD EOD, no booze- damn you whole30, lol!

R/R/CS: @beary67; AMEN GIRL- WTF is up with all the drive by's & should I test, am I KTFU posts lately? there were like 3-4 over the weekend I couldn't believe it!

GTKY (stolen from TWW): What is one thing you have or do too much of?  What is one thing you have or do too little of? Too much phone/internet time, before I would say a little too much drinking (meaning 1 drink with dinner nightly) but with the whole30 we've stopped drinking so that's good, worrying sometimes or anxiety over little things like work stuff that doesn't REALLY matter.... Too little; totally on board with @cjt121413 & not drinking enough water- BUT IT'S SOOO HARD lol. I've always been one of those people that didn't like the way water tasted, YES it has a taste. I have been better over the last year or so with DH support & I KNOW I have to get better now bc when I finally am KTFU I will have to drink a ton - the battle continues lol.

  • @thefarmerswife0411 - re what lacroix flavor to try...I love the grapefruit! However, it occasionally gives me heartburn so just be aware that it is pretty acidic. My other favorite is the coconut. Good for you keeping on track with the Whole 30, that's awesome!

  • @thefarmerswife0411 Of course I'm lurking again.  :)  Grapefruit was the first one I tried, but for some reason I kept feeling like I was drinking an alcoholic drink with that flavor, lol.  It may have been that it was the first flavor I tried and I wasn't used to them yet, but since then I have tried cran-raspberry, peach pear, passionfruit and their pineapple strawberry curate (taller skinny cans).  Passionfruit and the pineapple strawberry are definitely my faves so far!

I LOVE the grapefruit La Croix.  (My H makes fun of me for how I say pamplemousse.). The cran-raspberry is good as well.

WAYDTGKU: Just waiting for AF to vacate

R/R/CS: Nothing to say, this time goes slow. My friend is about 15 weeks along and is coming to visit us this weekend! I can't wait to discuss all things TTC and see how she is feeling and her baby bump! I love talking about it all, but DH doesn't want to hear all the sordid details   That's what girlfriends are for right?
