I'm late to the party and Saturday is almost over here...been a rough day. I got hit with a cold a few days ago and it really decided to make a fun appearance today. Haven't been feeling well at all...baby is kicking away though so clearly unaffected by it all.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: This cold sucks. Also, construction sucks. Also, a cold and construction issues in sub-zero weather sucks. I want a do-over for this weekend already.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Not only are we getting nothing done with construction this weekend, I have no idea if we will get the crib together or not.

(1) H and my wedding. (2) The day I got Rajah (my dog, well...our dog but Raj came before H). (3) Toss up between H and my engagement and telling H I was pregnant....I'll never forget the look on his face...shock, awe, scared to death and excited all at once.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: OMG I can't roll from my back to my side without it hurting like crazy! And I've got swollen lymph nodes that haven't gone away yet.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Lazily potty training my toddler.

GTKY: Stolen from TTGP...What are your top 3 moments in life (so far)? Day we had our son. Day we got married. And this might be weird, but the day we had our still-born son. It SUCKED don't get me wrong, but it was a powerful day during which I learned more than I had known the entire rest of my life about many things. I look back on that day with gratitude and love in my heart. PM me if you want me to get more into it.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: After an ER trip and a visit to L&D at 4 am, I have been home trying to pass an effing kidney stone. Baby is perfectly fine, thankfully --no preterm labor signs or uterine irritability. Just this mother facking stone.

1. The day we got our BFP. After being diagnosed with endometriosis a few years prior, we weren't sure we'd ever be able to have children on our own, or what it would take to have a family. My doctor gave us 6 months to try on our own, and if unsuccessful, I'd need surgery and further testing before looking at the IVF road. Lo and behold, the sixth month was the lucky one for us. I'll never forget what seeing that positive test together felt like.
2. Our wedding day. Incredible day.
3. The day we closed on our home. To us it meant roots, family, and a place to build our lives together.
I had a stone a few weeks ago! They're the worst!!!!! And preg ladies don't get drugs that work worth a darn. Hope you feel better soon and are able to get some rest!

Thanks. This is the first one I've ever had, and I really hope it's the last! Man, sorry to hear you had one too! They gave me 1 percocet in the hospital, which did help the pain but made me all sorts of sick. No thanks. At discharge, they said I can take OTC tylenol....cool. Because that works, right? Ha!
How long did it take for yours to pass, and how did you know it was gone? Just the pain stopped and didn't come back?
