Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I am tired all the time again, almost as bad as it was in the first tri. I feel like I could sleep for days. Rave: The Home Depot trip with my sister was a success yesterday! I came home with paint, and that was the goal. Tomorrow the carpet cleaning company is coming, and that means next week we can start painting. Symptoms: Exhaustion, expanding belly, RLP
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? My favorite mornings are Saturday & Sunday mornings during the summer. H and I get up and have our morning coffee out on the back deck if it's nice out. Lazy family mornings are my fave.

What are you doing to prepare for baby? still working on her quilt, I'll hopefully have a nice picture to share of the main part of the top by tomorrow or Friday. I laid it all out together last night and was surprised at how big its going to end up being!
Questions? Does anyone else feel like their uterus is growing up, not out? I can feel the top of my uterus when I lay down and its seriously almost up to my ribs but it's barely sticking out.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? A good flavored latte. Oh how I miss my fancy coffees....
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Nothing crazy today. Tired as usual but looking forward to only working a half day today. The downside...I am going to do my taxes and I don't think it will be pretty.

GTKY:What is your favorite way to start the morning? Typically with a secret breakfast out (Chick Fil A or Shipleys) that I put on a different debit card so my husband doesn't know Since today is the first day of lent though that is all coming to an end for 40 days (I thought it would be a good habit to break for LO's sake). Now that I don't have to leave as early for work I will be starting my day off with a few minutes of extra sleep and puppy snuggles. Our dogs sleep in the bed with us and are very cuddly in the mornings.
@Sgoldberg247 Can't wait to see the quilt you're making! I wish I was that talented. For the uterus question - early right before I hit 20 weeks I felt my uterus growing out more. Now that I'm almost 23 weeks it is definitely growing up towards my ribs, but with my short torso I already feel like I'm running out of room.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Back pain and crazy headaches. Rant: It's sill not Friday. Rave: It's closer to Friday than yesterday...
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Rapidly consuming vending machine peanut M&Ms and trying to fit my new body pillow onto a queen-sized bed with a husband and 2 dogs (50 lbs and 75 lbs).
Questions? How do you sleep on your side? I'm seriously struggling. Every time I try, I either wake up with horrible neck pain (which combined with the hormones is giving me the crazy headaches) or I wake up super uncomfortable 900 times a night because my body is still trying to sleep on my stomach, which is no longer possible.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? By sleeping in! If that's not an option, breakfast needs to be consumed within the first hour or else I become a hangry bitch. I am NOT a morning person.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: None today! Rave: OB appt this morning and can't wait to hear little guy's heartbeat again! Felt a definitive kick from the outside yesterday! Also, most of the shirts from Old Navy fit great. The pants, not so much. All my weight gains seems to be going to my butt... Symptoms: The usual, heartburn, tired, sore nips, itchy belly, wanted to vomit yesterday...I thought nausea was supposed to pass by now?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Just gestating today!
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? Having breakfast before I leave for work. I switch between cereal, a breakfast sandwich, frozen waffles, or oatmeal. I always look forward to breakfast! And now I'm going to enjoy a bowl of cereal.

@Kballew10 I used to be a stomach sleeper too, so it's definitely been an adjustment trying to get comfortable at night. I still haven't gotten a body pillow, but what I do is lay in a weird position where I'm almost half on my side and half on my stomach. Then I hike my top leg up towards my chest with a pillow underneath it. Not perfect, but that seems to be about the most comfortable I can get right now.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I'm sore. And my arthritis is kicking up. Boo. Rave: My mom is here next week and my best friend is here this week! Symptoms: Still tired, but not first tri tired. I'm feeling baby boy a bit more and more now!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still trying to pick out a name. Need to finish cleaning out room, but that also involves cleaning out other closets. I don't have a lot of junk to get rid of (too OCD), but I need to reorganize everything so that is the hold up.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? COFFEEEEE with DH. This has been out tradition since before we started dating We worked together before so we would also be a slave to the coffee pot. I love a good morning walk with DH and our pup. Soon we will add baby to that.
oh and @MeganF08 I love me some Shipleys too. I just don't do donuts in the morning. They make me sleepy! And @mrsschmity see there is a silver lining to not working right now - you can sleep! I am jealous!
@mrsschmity I hear you on the tiredness. I was talking to one of our young teachers today and she was shocked that I usually tuck into bed around 8:30. I wake up at 5:30 every day in order to make it out of the house on time with my kiddo AND I'm preggo. Anyway, I felt like a senior citizen by her reaction but growing a kid is hard work.
How far along are you? 20w4d
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: My daughter is still pretty unwell. I think it's mostly just exhaustion because she has basically no appetite while on this week of antibiotics. Anyway, we very well may need to cancel our "24 hours of us time" date this weekend cause I can't in good conscience leave her with my Godmom when she's so off. Rave: I get to leave work at 2:30 today because I have an apt with the OBGYN. I hope there are no troubling results from the A/S that she's waiting to talk about in person (I think this is pretty unlikely) so it should be a pretty easy apt. I love that dude is moving so much because the whole "finding the heartbeat thing" no longer puts me into a state of sheer panic. Rave: For some odd reason, I feel totally rested even though I slept on a terrible mattress on my daughter's floor all night, often with my shaggy dog drooling on me.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? COFFEEEEE!!! After sleeping in. I also like working out first thing.... Ha, I realize none of these things have happened in far too long.
@KOR121 Hey there due date buddy I like your morning tradition! Also, you would think not working would have an upside where I can sleep in, but I'm one of those psychos that wakes up with H every morning at 4:00 before he leaves for work, and then I don't like to "sleep the day away" so I'm up by like 6:30 after that anyway lol
@SMLmom Good luck at your appt today! Let us know how it goes.
@Kballew10: Maybe your head pillow isn't the right thickness, and your neck is positioned at an odd angle?
@BakerBird525: Hope you have a great OB appt! I still have mornings here and there with nausea...right there with you.
How far along are you? 20 weeks! Excited to be halfway!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: Slept through the night, thankfully.
Rant: Dog's being a PITA. Had a sharp, stabbing muscular pain to the left of my belly button suddenly last night. When pressed, pain shot all the way down through my vagina. Lasted about a half hour, then stopped. I attributed it to baby stretching and/or organ and muscle shifting due to uterine expansion. Sound familiar to anyone?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Registry continues Kitchen-ing continues Next up, shampoo nursery carpets
Questions? See rant.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? I'm with @mrsschmity. Love having coffee and breakfast out on the back patio on summer weekend mornings.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I really, really want a good nights sleep. Each time I finally get comfortable, I have to pee...& then the cycle starts all over again. And I am on day 3 of this brutal headache...but I guess the silver lining is that as of right now it's not as bad as it was yesterday.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing today.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? By sleeping in! I miss those days. And a hazelnut coffee...or 2. Mmm! OR, if we're going to be fancy...with a mimosa & nice breakfast!
@Sgoldberg247 Mine is definitely growing more up. Kind of looks the shape of a spaghetti squash when I look in the mirror
How far along are you? 21 weeks
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Feels like another cold coming on. UGH
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Officially starting home renovations. Working with designer this wee since we don't know how to "put stuff together" from a design and color standpoint
Questions?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? coffee and reading outside by the pool (weather permitting)
ETA: apparently I thought I was two weeks further along.....
@mrsschmity we know how to do MN summer mornings right @Sgoldberg247 I carry really high so my belly always goes up... Rib pain has already started for me. @huskerfanz Did E sleep in too?!? @kballew10 that sleep arrangement sounds tough. Ha. I put the body pillow like half way under my belly, so I can kind of sleep on my stomach, but not fully... Does that make sense? @crdo do you clean your carpets on your own? What do you use?
How far along are you? 23+5
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Feeling OK. Heartburn has gotten way better.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DSs room. Yesterday I was browsing for a take home outfit. Not sure if I want a new one, or put him in the same one...
Questions? None
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? A HOT cup of coffee with no interruptions. Ideally it would be when the sun is rising, and I can sit outside and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Over halfway!! I don't think I'll go past 35/36 weeks because of triplets.
Holy shit! Yeah I didn't even think about that...is it crazy to think that you could have three more babies in a matter of 15 more weeks?!
Yes, yes it is. That's why I've been going nesting crazy as I could go on bed rest at any time, too. Plus, I'm going to be large and uncomfortable rather soon. Average for triplets is 32 weeks so it could quite possible be sooner, too. 36 is probably the max for me.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
He has been getting better about sleeping in but is still being kind of a pill to put down. At least he is getting more sleep now so he isn't crabby all the time now.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
@mrsschmity: Love those colors with the sheets! Going to be beautiful.
@NicknShan: Yep, we clean the carpets ourselves. A few years ago we bought a Bissel carpet shampooer. Works great with the pet-specific cleaning solution since it's a little more heavy-duty than the regular carpet solution they sell. For us, it's handy to have the shampooer at home to spot clean or deep clean high traffic areas 2x a year.
@Sgoldberg247 - I feel like my ute is doing both (out and up)....and I'm running out of room in this 5'4 body...lol
@kballew10 - I'm having a hard time getting comfortable (and I'm used to sleeping on my side) due to hip pain. With neck pain, have you tried a new pillow? Maybe you need to swap yours out?
@kor121 - How close are you guys to finalizing a name? We just started looking at names and its going to be a long haul I feel.
@SMLmom - I'm sorry your daughter is feeling sick. I hope she feels better soon.
@deepaddy24 - Ugh, no sleep sucks. I try to wait out the "I have to pee" thing in the middle of the night and sometimes it works, most times it doesn't. I hope you get sleep soon...even a nap might help.
@crdo - The sudden pain would freak me out but it sounds like growing/shifting pains if it only lasted 30 minutes. If it continues, I'd call my doctor. When do you think your kitchen remodel stuff is going to be done by the way? I'm hoping our bathroom is done in the next month or two.
@nicknshan - AW the take home outfit ideas? I want to start looking at fun, non bathroom remodel stuff.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: More weight gain. 8lb this month alone....and that is with me watching my diet (calorie intake is healthy) and working out 3-4 times a week. And more leg numbness. I think I'm going to call my doctor about this today. Rave: H is being super great about supporting me through the weight gain concern. He keeps telling me it is just weight and will come off after the baby with a little effort. He's right I know but I can't get over the fact that I'm going to be the largest size I've ever been at the end of this pregnancy and I'm not a teeny tiny girl (middle to upper end of normal BMI) to begin with.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Apparently putting on weight and getting numb legs...lol. We are looking at names tomorrow together, which should be fun.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? Coffee, I love my one medium coffee a day.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No new symptoms! My belly button has been moving like crazy lately. It's so odd!! I can just sit and watch it! I'm not sure if its baby's hiccups or baby moving.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Coming up with middle names!!
Questions?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? Laying in bed for 3 hours and eating breakfast in bed. Maybe some lame lifetime movie, cuddling with my boys (husband and dog
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
@Sgoldberg247 Can't wait to see the quilt! @MeganF08 I've been checking out spinning babies, too. After all the posts about sunny side up babies and back labor and am trying to do whatever I can to prevent that! @Kballew10 I hope you find a way to get comfortable soon!
How far along are you? 23 weeks!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I have been out of commission for two days with an upper respiratory infection. Back at work today. Rave: I am feeling better today although still coughing a lot. Made it to work and only have two more days after today and looking forward to a long weekend. Yay!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing in particular today.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? I love to stay in bed and snuggle with my DH. I know we won't be able to do that much longer so I am really enjoying it these days (really only on the weekends).
@Kballew10 - I'm starting to get uncomfortable side sleeping. Normally it's fine, but I can only comfortably sleep on my left side, which I'm waking up more and more sore. I did notice the other night that rather than my body pillow, I took one of my normal pillows (sleep with two) and put that between my knees and curled up on my side. I felt better that way so maybe the two pillows at night are too high? Hope you find a comfortable position soon!
@smlmom- I'm on the same sleep schedule haha! In bed by 8:30 and up by 5/5:30. So sorry to hear about your daughter! Hope she feels better soon so you can have your date night!
How far along are you? 24+1
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I brought chicken noodle soup on the first day of lent for lunch.. oy. Also, I feel bad for keeping DH up all night with my coughing. At 2:30 he broke down and made me gargle salt water and filled the warm mist humidifier for me. I didn't realize he had his work physical today though Rave: I brought pumpkin spice cookies! Symptoms: heartburn. the usual.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Getting rid of this cold so the baby stops kicking me when I cough?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? Coffee. Coffee. Maybe some more coffee. And a dream weekend would be sleeping in and then going to brunch!
@mrsschmity love those colors! We are doing a navy blue and beige. Kind of similar! Makes me anxious to paint now. And I'm the same way - I'm up and at them in the morning, but I do love a mid-afternoon nap.
@mkemommy We have two top names. But we aren't ready to commit. Name may have to wait until baby is born. It's not a matter of disagreeing, it's more we aren't sure if it is right. Our list had less than five names to start with so it wasn't that complicated for us. I get why parents don't tell people the name until after baby is born now.
@mkemommy: Thanks for the reassurance. That's the first time I felt that pain, so it threw me off a bit. Although, this is the first time in my life my uterus has been the size of a volleyball, so there's that, ha! Didn't have any indication that the pain was anything other than normal stretching/growing, but you're right that if it keeps up I'll just call the doc to be sure. As far as the kitchen, what's hampering progress at this stage is the outside temp. We need a solid 2-3 days above 50F for H to be able to prime and paint the doors in the garage. So, that'll likely be the end of the month (please!). Conservatively, the kitchen should be done next month. How's your reno going? What's the next step for you guys?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No rants Rave: had my 23 week appt yesterday and another AS to get a couple heart pics we couldn't get last time (which sent my brain on overload). Our prayers were answered and our boy is perfect! I asked the US tech if her machine could do 3D pics and found out it could! Got a little face picture of him! You guys should ask if you can get one too!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? H set up my glider in the room, next is assembling the nightstand, crib and changing table.
Questions?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? My FAVORITE way to start the morning used to be with a GIANT cup of coffee and a book. Since I'm not tolerating coffee very well right now, I'm perfectly content with a blanket and a book. Oh and a Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuit
@crdo - Ugh, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for warmer temperatures soon then. We won't see 50 for a loooong time here in Wisconsin. I remember our kitchen remodel...we did it in the winter and it was terrible (kitchen was out of commission for about 2 1/2 months). I feel your pain and hope you are done next month. Bathroom reno is going ok for us...main plumbing is done, drywall is up, floor tile is laid. This weekend will be finishing the mudding/taping of the walls, grouting the floor tile, laying the shower tile and maybe laying the tile around the tub built in (but the latter is doubtful). We also have to grout the shower, paint, put wainscoting up, finish the tub deck (including tiling around the top and wainscoting around the base), put the shower glass walls up, put the vanity/toilet in and finish putting all the plumbing fixtures in. So, yeah, its going to be a while being weekend warrior types for renovations.
@mkemommy: Thanks--at least the kitchen is back in commission since the cabinet boxes on the walls are painted and all appliances are in place. 2 1/2 months would be rough. Sounds like your bathroom is coming along well! Are you guys laying tile yourselves?
@mrsschmity yay for paint! I love teal/coral accents with those colors. @Sgoldberg247 Are you following a pattern for your quilt? @KBallew10 I'm sleeping the exact way mrsschmity described. Full side sleeping=no sleep for me. @BakerBird525 Hope your appt goes well! @SMLmom I hope your appt goes well and that you don't have to cancel your "us time"! @crdo Woo for halfway!! And i feel you on waiting for warmer temps to paint... UGH. @DeePaddy24 A mimosa sounds amazing.... dang it. @mkemommy I hope your doctor can reassure you/give answers.

June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@crdo - My BIL is doing the tile...he has done it before many many times and does a great job. I'm so thankful to have him close by...he is very handy.
@hockeyfan42 - Thanks, my doctor is really laid back so she'll probably just tell me "everything is fine, don't worry". Have fun at dinner tonight! I hope you get to eat something good. I am zero help with hair. My hair is in a pony tail 9 times out of 10.
@crdo actually I had a day last week where I had shooting pains in that same area... sharp, brief, but sporadic for 2 periods of maybe 15-20 min each. It did worry me at the time cause it was more than a dull ache for sure- but nothing since then (been a week). I think it was just growing pains. I had a ton of pain with my daughter around 17 weeks and wound up in the ER, only to feel silly because there was absolutely nothing wrong- just stretching. I'm not saying to not take pain seriously, but growing pains seem to occur in all shapes and forms and are USUALLY just part of the process, I think.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Rave: I only woke up once last night. I didn't get to bed until almost 11 and I think I shocked my system into sleeping more than an hour at a time. I still didn't sleep well but I don't want to kill anyone this morning. Rant: My kid likes to kick my cervix. It hurts.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? We really need to get a registry started - but currently, nothing.
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? I only like weekend mornings. H works but usually not until 10:30 or 11:00 so we have time to make breakfast together and relax for a bit before he starts his day. I love a "real" not cereal or oatmeal breakfast.
@tjenkins528 right on with the sleep sched. Today my daughter started talking at 4:30 and I was like "nooooo!"--- then she and I both went back to sleep till 5:45, which felt like a sleep-in and caused my morning to be a bit rushed. Ah, mom life...

I'm with @mrsschmity. Love having coffee and breakfast out on the back patio on summer weekend mornings.
@smlmom: Good luck at the OB appt! Sorry to hear your daughter still isn't feeling well. Hope that clears up soon.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
I really, really want a good nights sleep.

Good luck today @BakerBird525 and @SMLmom!
@crdo - Good call. I will try 2 pillows tonight and see if that helps!
@Sgoldberg247 I carry really high so my belly always goes up...

@mrsschmity - Yeah for finalizing paint color! I love the color you chose for your nursery in the nursery inspiration board.
@huskerfanz - Yeah 20 weeks!!!
@bakerbird525 - Good luck at the OB today!
@SMLmom - I'm sorry your daughter is feeling sick.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
No new symptoms!
DD born June 2016
Second due August 2020 (team green!)
@Meganf08 - Thanks for the reminder about lent! I guess the whole chicken noodle soup isn't going to work for lunch
@Sgoldberg247 - can't wait to see the quilt!
I didn't realize he had his work physical today though
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Getting rid of this cold so the baby stops kicking me when I cough?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? Coffee. Coffee. Maybe some more coffee. And a dream weekend would be sleeping in and then going to brunch!
24w today! Holy moly- 2 more weeks until third tri. This pregnancy is FLYING BY.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
I've been having that awful uncomfortably full feeling, no matter when or what I eat.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Home stuff
Questions?
Nope!
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning?
Like @mrsschmity and @NicknShan - Midwest summer mornings
are made to be enjoyed lazily!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: No rants
What are you doing to prepare for baby? H set up my glider in the room, next is assembling the nightstand, crib and changing table.
Questions?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? My FAVORITE way to start the morning used to be with a GIANT cup of coffee and a book. Since I'm not tolerating coffee very well right now, I'm perfectly content with a blanket and a book. Oh and a Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuit
Sounds like your bathroom is coming along well! Are you guys laying tile yourselves?

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Just feeling big and sleeping poorly. Rave: fancy dinner tonight with the VP for H's work! Rant: fancy dinner tonight with the VP for H's work.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Gestating. Decided to give up on names for a while. Haven't made it to Sherwin Williams yet either.
Questions? Not baby related: Does anyone have any easy hair tutes for a fancy dinner? Maybe something along the lines of 'so easy monkeys have been doing it for decades'?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning?
COFFEE.
How far along are you? 23 weeks today!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: just weird dream and nightmares and enjoying feeling the baby move/kick
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing right now
GTKY: What is your favorite way to start the morning? Pre-pregnancy it was with coffee but now it's with food! Lmao
@hockeyfan42 - Thanks, my doctor is really laid back so she'll probably just tell me "everything is fine, don't worry". Have fun at dinner tonight! I hope you get to eat something good.
How far along are you? 23+2
