I really. Really. REALLY. don't like my temp. I'm not sure I've made that clear or not but I don't like her.
I'm secretly hoping she'll have another meltdown.
I trained her on some things yesterday, basically gave her an overview of a process and had her get started. Then today I wanted to go over the next step, which was literally putting the spreadsheets in alphabetical order (we like to eat trees 'round here) and after 40 minutes of waiting for her to let me know when she was done with that part (and her telling me that we could work on the next step after lunch..it was 11:15, lunch isn't til 12:30) I went into her office and she wasn't even half way through the stack of *maybe* 60 pages. So I went ahead and gave her the gist of the next step and told her we can't really do anything til she puts them in order so that we know if something was missed, then I went to lunch.
I just sent her an email to check the status and she informed me that she decided to go ahead and start working on the process as is and will go back later and find the ones she missed....
I wish. I don't have the authority. I'm just a lemming.
That said, I'm going to have to take this task away from her and have her work on something else because she's taking too damn long on it (aside from not following directions). I may mention it to my boss though.
Also, I think I'm going to be really surprised at what some of your names are.
As a heads up, mine rhymes.
I'll be calling you "Frankie" in my head now until and unless I'm proven wrong.
That's my name! It's not short for anything either. When DH and I worked together before we were dating, it was extremely confusing when people called for one of us on the radio, since they called him by his last name. We answered for each other all of the time... Then we started dating and everyone kept calling me Frankie Banke. Then we got engaged and everyone kept coming to me and asking if I was seriously considering taking DH's last name. Now my name just makes people laugh and smile.
I had a check up this am and baby is head down, yaaayy! I know the baby could still move around, but I have felt a foot under my ribcage for a good 3-4 weeks so I'm hoping baby is comfy and will just stay there. I ate a giant burrito for lunch to celebrate.
@yodiggity she is just alphabetizing 60 sheets? Did I catch that correctly?????
I deactivated my facebook 2 years ago when I started teaching in a very conservative district. Time to clean it up sonincan join in the fun. Goodbye sorority photos.... I wore waaayyyy to many short skirts and drank way to many sake bombs back then.

I ain't never had too much fun...
This is when I'm grateful to be a geriatric mamma-to-be. Facebook wasn't a thing when I was in college and I have long since deleted MySpace!
Glad to hear short skirts and sake bombs are still a sorority girl fave though!
Can I act like a child for a minute and be pissed off at my family for making me reschedule my birthday because my brother is going to go see the movie that I'VE been dying to go see since it was announced? I even made a point of telling my family that it's release date was one of the best late birthday present I could ask for... DH said he would take me to see it over the weekend... I was the one talking about going to the premiere, but I can't, since DH works until 9 PM on my birthday and I have to watch DS. I'm also upset that I don't get to see DH at all the days surrounding my birthday. I'll see him after work the day after my birthday (he's taking me to dinner), but I get to see him for only a few minutes the rest of the week until it's the weekend, and we plan on avoiding a lot of places this weekend because of Valentine's Day. Maybe the movie is a bad idea... Maybe I should just wait until next month...
Guys...a friend of mine has the same due date as me as per her doctor (though she believes she's a week ahead due to when she got her BFP). Anyway...pregnant with twin girls, had her water break 12 days ago, on bedrest for monitoring at the hospital. Well...She delivered the girls today!!! 31 weeks 6 days. I know its a different ballgame with twins, but omg I am the SAME! Both girls are breathing on their own, one is 4.6 the other is 3.9. So this kid in me is probably around 4lbs herself. HOW are we there already?!

That's simultaneously terrifying (because I am nowhere near ready!) and so exciting (because if our little nuggets came today, it'd be scary but probably okay in the long run). Glad things have worked out for your friend and her new little ones, but I do want all our April babies to keep cooking!
@imrachellea I'm not ready either but so glad to hear her babies are doing well! I too find it a little reassuring that if something happened, it could be less scary that I imagine right now.
@K&Elizabeth I feel old. The deal was $2.50 sake bombs in my day!
I know I'm going to start feeling antsy when you early April mommas start having babies and I'm still waiting for the end of the month to roll around. If this baby is a week past due date, I'll be a May mom. What? Keep cooking, baby, but I'm ok with medium versus well done
I was born at 33 weeks and weighed 4#8oz. I'm adopted and my mom ( mom meaning the woman who raised me not the women who gave birth ) thought she had another month to prep. When I was born she hardly had anything ready other than a crib and a few diapers until she had her baby shower a week later. just thinking about not being prepared gives me anxiety but like my mom says babies don't need much other than diapers, you, and something to keep them warm for the first few weeks. Tyring not to stress about not being ready yet or about bouncer vs swing etc. Hopefully my short cervix can keep her in there another few weeks. My realistic goal is 34 weeks and that's only 3 weeks away ! 40 would be nice but my docs don't think that's going to happen.
Went to the bank this morning to get added to my fiancé's account, apparently something popped up on my end that they won't allow me to be added to his... Um.. Ok? Wtf? Whatever.
Now I'm at the dealership he works at for a much overdue oil change, and I'm starving... I just downed a coffee ridiculously fast, and LO is kicking the hell out of me! Like, "oh, you can have coffee but you can't feed me? Let's see how you like this!" I imagine he stretches the same way his daddy does when I can feel him low in my hip, and my ribcage, and that's the sweetest picture ever to dispel the idea he is trying to make my torso burst from the inside.
I know, I'm being random... Just bored, and rambly...
I was big spoon last night and DS kicked DH hard enough for him to actually say "ouch" and make us roll over. Yeah, that kick was buffered through me, dear - welcome to pregnancy. Ouch doesn't even begin to cover it...

If only there was a way to kick his ribs from the inside...
@elasticheart13 I already bowed down to it. I think I'm mostly just upset because my family just keeps stepping all over me or excluding me. I feel like the red headed stepchild. Pun intended.

I have reached space heater status, and am running too hot for cuddles. I usually wake up early and snuggle up to my fiancé and the heat wakes him up. This morning LO kicking him did haha!

But this would be my reaction every day:

And I am SO not ready yet for baby to arrive. My midwife estimated him to be around 4 lbs. I can't deal with that
