@allaire314 That was basically my reaction too. So far she's being monitored, no labor or baby yet.
OMG I just read it... so crazy! Hospital bed rest can't be fun, but hopefully he stays in for a little while longer at least! I'm guessing with little fluid he'll be here sooner rather than later though!

My thoughts exactly. My friend who delivered last night (at 31 weeks 6 days...same as me...) was on bedrest after her water broke for TWELVE days...and I know that fluid levels were never a concern, labor just started, the girls were ready.

I guess when it's time, it's time... I'm just not ready for it to be time! So happy your friend's little girls are breathing on their own! Fingers crossed for short and healthy hospital stays!
I did get an update on the twins from her Facebook. Looks like they are continueing to do well with some obvious time in the NICU due to being premature (according to Mayo Clinic, they are considered "very preterm", as opposed to one day later they would have been considered "moderately preterm").
What makes me so nervous is that her son (born 5 weeks after my DD1) was born AFTER his EDD...and again, twins = different ballgame, but still...makes me nervous...
I got my glucose results back! No GD for me yippeee 76mg/dL ! I like flat orange soda so the drink was pretty good to me haha My OB also ordered thyroid tests and I'm reading the results online right now. I had to google to get a little more info on it, but from the looks of the tests she ordered she was checking me for hyperthyroidism although she never mentioned it to me. It appears through my results though, that my thyroid levels are A-ok! But I will just have to wait to see her again to talk about it.
I got a text from SO's sister that their aunt wants to know if there is anything that we still really need. It reminded me of Knottie9983816 's post the other day. wtf? I have two registries with a ton of shit on it. I'm not going to tell someone exactly *what* to buy. Why even ask? She also asked if there was anything "big" that we still needed (these things are on my registry too for completion discounts) so eff it, I told her we still needed a swing and the baby monitor.
PSA as future toddler parents - Find My iPhone. Set it up before it's too late!
Silver lining if you forget it exists, you may find your driver's license that your kiddo also "put away" over a week a ago. Still no luck on her left shoe though... and it was a (hand me down) Puma too!
Went to the bank this morning to get added to my fiancé's account, apparently something popped up on my end that they won't allow me to be added to his... Um.. Ok? Wtf? Whatever.
Now I'm at the dealership he works at for a much overdue oil change, and I'm starving... I just downed a coffee ridiculously fast, and LO is kicking the hell out of me! Like, "oh, you can have coffee but you can't feed me? Let's see how you like this!" I imagine he stretches the same way his daddy does when I can feel him low in my hip, and my ribcage, and that's the sweetest picture ever to dispel the idea he is trying to make my torso burst from the inside.
I know, I'm being random... Just bored, and rambly...
He totally could me mimicking daddy. At my last ultrasound LO was sleeping just like his dad does! So cute.
I'm part of a few facebook groups revolving around being a first time mom, cloth diapering etc. and seriously people post the same questions over and over and still get like 22 comments because others simply reply again to all the same posts. Additionally, no one jumps down someone's throat when they post something like, 'I'm just over breastfeeding, what is your favorite formula??' They will legitimately get 45 comments suggesting different formulas.
It weirds me out because I'm so used to the snark here.

Yay for no mom shaming!
I agree! I'm just always ready to open the comments and kick back to read the fight like I'm bumping!
I have officially lost all interest in house work. I just want to be a lazy bum if it doesn't directly pertain to the baby. I don't want to cook for my husband and I, I just want dinner to magically appear in front of us at night. Dishes? Nope. Everything has become so uncomfortable that I prefer to burrow in bed and think vague thoughts about how I'll do that thing later.
I've been having pretty scary dreams over tge last 6 weeks or so. Some are reoccurring and some are just strange. Last night I had my strangest one so far. I dreamt I was at work when my uterus ruptured. My baby's feet were sticking out of my abdomen and I was holding him in. It was so real I could sort of feel the pain. The phones weren't getting through to my husband or an ambulance so a school bus brought me to the hospital. It was horrifying.

There is a student IN MY TEACHER BATHROOM! WTH kid? Just because this is where the club meets does NOT mean you get to go in my bathroom! It is OFF LIMITS to students...!
I am probably being unreasonably irritated about this, but seriously, they don't have permission to be in there! And another kid just went in! Who the heck told them that was ok? And I HAVE TO GO!
After four months of exclusively wearing my glasses, I switched back to my contacts.. everything is a lot bigger than I thought it was, myself included. Oi.
My feet have also officially disappeared when looking down in the shower. Miss you, toes.
@cmjenkies I haven't been able to see mine in years because my chest blocked them from sight. The only time I could see them was if I put my foot forward and leaned back or if I was lying down sideways on the couch. I felt left out of the "I can't see my toes anymore" milestone with DS and now with LO.
Yay for contacts! I love mine way better than glasses. Especially since DS tries to steal them off of my face.
@jonesl12 This was exactly my DD1. Like, exactly. ALL.THE.TIME. At work, during church, at night, watching TV...she never ever stopped. Honestly, it kinda weirds me out that this second LO is so much more chill than her big sister (not sure if that is truly her personality or the anterior placenta still has something to do with it?) But get ready because as much as she moved on the inside like a crazy karate kid, she has NOT stopped. Ever. Seriously...EVER. We wouldn't have it any other way of course, but it is EXHAUSTING, in the best possible way. And we aren't the only ones that think this, she exhausts everyone with how incredibly on the go she is all the time! We always joke that she has too speeds...Energizer Bunny and Asleep. But even sleeping, at just a couple months old, we'd find her in every corner of the crib throughout the night despite the fact that she "wasn't mobile"...!

I'm trying to prepare myself ! It truly is non stop all the time. When I'm driving , trying to sleep, in the shower it really doesn't matter. If I'm walking a lot it helps chill her out for a bit. As much as I love feeling her I need a break from it sometimes and that's not possible.
@jonesl12 Haha there is no break. This is the biggest break you get It seriously is so much fun, but it definitely wears you out. Like I said, this LO isn't as crazy active as big sis, but imagine having what you have on the inside on the OUTside with an inside one kicking at the same time! And people wonder why I'm so tired all the time haha.
She does some crazy stuff in there. It drives me crazy sometimes!! @thaisac1
Is your placenta anterior or posterior? Mine is posterior so baby is facing my back, so what I do feel/ see through my abdominal wall is actually his butt or head (I dont know) and back pushing against it while he rolls over and adjusts positions.
Good news: I get an ultrasound at my next appt! (Previously we were told we wouldn't get any more.)
Bad news: it's because I measured 34 today and I'm only 31 weeks I've been right on track up until now. Oh and also I'm currently getting iv fluids at the dr office because I caught the stomach flu the kids all had this week and haven't been able to keep anything down since last night

Holy heck - baby had a growth spurt!! Hope it's not GD related... but yay for another ultrasound! I was bummed at our appointment this week when she said there wouldn't be any more ultrasounds. Here's to hoping for good news, and feel better!!
@imrachellea I need you to stop talking about how hyper your daughter was in the womb and how perfectly it matches her even now. I do not have the energy to keep up if this kid is going to be as active when she gets here as she is now and I won't be able to keep her alive if I get pregnant again.
I had to laugh at my midwife when she asked if I was getting 10 kicks an hour because it's often ten in the span of a minute or two. She's definitely taking after me instead of her chill daddy
@allaire314 they did give me the ok to only monitor glucose 2x a day since my log looked good, so prob not GD. The water retention has been UNREAL this week, though.
@AEG84 maybe it's this stinking heat... umm.... 85 in February?! I'm not ready!!
Ugh I wish! We're sitting at 10* right now. At this point I'm just hoping for spring weather before baby comes, but it has been known to snow here in mid to late April, so definitely not a given.
@AmadorRose You literally made me lol The good news is that because she is so active, she is often able to entertain herself for HOURS, and we can either watch her play or assist her playing. So it isn't always on us. Though her newest thing is to ride DH like a pony while he says "beep beep, choo choo, honk honk" while she repeats it all back to him. She'll start saying "Daddy play choo choo!!"
The bad news was that because she was so active, she never took to babywearing It would have made life so much easier if I could wear her (even now at 2, since she's long and lean so not crazy heavy) but she tolerated outward facing in a carrier for brief spurts until about 5 months (which I've since learned is terrible for development and I shouldn't have done) and up until just before two she'd let me use a ring sling to assist in a hip carrier, but even that now is too much restriction...so she gets told NO to being held sometimes...

This is my life.
@AEG84 yay for seeing baby! I hope it all turns out well and it's water retention or anything else that's NBD.

Hopefully the activity makes her sleep like a rock, too. And when she's old enough to run around, she can play in the back yard with the dogs because their energy wears me out. I can totally see my child riding my dog like she's a horse, and as long as she's getting attention my dog would lap it up. Also, it may be justification to buy a Keurig
@AEG84 - Yay for extra ultrasound! Boo for oversized babies. I just got similar news at my checkup. Between her current size and my family history of enormous spawn, my doctor's warned me that she may end up recommending and I should begin considering an elective c-section.
Thanks for the offer, doc. I've considered it, and I'll be attempting to push this baby outta my ladybits (and, at least at first, I'll try to do it sans painkillers). It'll probably hurt like a b*&3^$h, but my vadge is pretty tough. We can reevaluate whether or not to slice me open if you can come up with a better medical reason than "Uh, your kid's gonna be a porker."

I just walked around the mall for an hour and OMG the pressure! I felt like baby was going to fall out. I need a wheelbarrow for my uterus.
