@happyandhopeful3 I go upstairs and start night time routine of bath pjs and feeding by 7 then as soon as I get the baby to sleep I go to sleep until he wakes to eat! I love going to bed early haha
I wish my LO went to sleep then. She wakes up for a feed then and then doesnt go back down until 11/12. Ah I only wish to sleep at 7/8
Wait how are people going to bed at 7/8:30? Do you just go to bed early then wake up a couple of hours later to feed?
Asking as someone who would love to go to bed early but 11/12 is the last feeding for the night (before 2/3 am feeding).
We go upstairs between 8/9 when LO wants his last meal before bed. He is usually asleep in his crib by 10. Then we get to sleep until 1/2 ish and again until 5/6 ish. He is 4 weeks old and has had a consistent sleep schedule since day 1 and gets really upset if we aren't upstairs at the right time. The one night we kept him up late went badly for all involved... This kid likes his sleep and there will be hell to pay for anyone who interrupts it.

I would be OK with this routine except then I get no time with DH after work. How to manage both??
@SDaniels19 that's def the downside! He usually comes to bed the same time, most of the time we end up falling asleep shortly but sometimes we do stay up and hang out/catch up or watch tv or something for a little! Depends how tired we are! Lol
When you use the selfie mode on your phone to see if LO's asleep or awake on your chest
DH always yells over to me "stop taking selfies with my son!" 1. I will take as many damn selfies with this kid as I want, he's just too dang adorable!! and 2. Usually I am just checking if he's asleep or not!
When your last message to your husband at work was "your baby just had the smelliest poop ever".. I never imagined DH and I would discuss poop as much as we do
When your chasing your postnatal vitamins with mothers milk tea eating steel cut oats for lunch because you missed breakfast and your still in your pj's
When you order food at a restaurant based on how easy it would be to eat one-handed because you know the second you start eating, LO's internal alarm will go off, and you'll be holding her through lunch.

That doesn't stop when they get older, I still order my meal based on what my daughter will eat off of it!

Yep. Whenever we go out to eat, SO and I do rock/paper/scissors/lizard/spock to see who has to order based on sharing with the toddler.
Or hot coffee! Mine normally gets cold because my LO needs something...
I have this thermos coffee mug with a button that I have to pop down in order to drink and pop the button back up its totally sealed. It keeps my coffee warm most of the day if I haven't had a chance to drink it and it can sit beside me without spilling and is therefore accessible to drink whenever I get a second. Buy one of those - it keeps me sane lol

I've had my shirt off almost the entire time DS has been outside my body, including every visit from the MIL. I never thought my own mother would see my breasts post-puberty...let alone my partner's mother!
