I miss being a project engineer sometimes... but only around the holidays when vendors send snacks. I'm jealous. Enjoy them!
@gray51015 my friend did a vintage airplane theme for her little girl and it was adorable. Mostly dusty pink and yellows and it turned so cute. She got almost all her stuff on etsy.
Right now, I'd trade my favorite blanket for a box of tag a long girl scout cookies. I seriously can't find them anywhere and it's making me very grumpy.
I want dinner to be ready and eaten just so I can have my ice cream after... (Oh, and my poor husband is making yet another meal while I sit on the couch....)
Also, I have to watch the Bachelor alone as my normal crew all has all sorts of things going on...it's just not the same!
Apparently we slowed down on here the last few days! Just a reminder if you are interested in a labor buddy pm me. I am keeping a list of people interested and will pair people up around the 9th of March If you have and requests about who you wnat paired or things you and in common let me know in the message too.
I have an AW random! DS was anaphylactically allergic to eggs a year ago. After a year of treatment he is no longer egg allergic! Woohoo!!! He ate an entire pancake and a few bites of my scrambled eggs this weekend
I haven't found Zulilly nearly as dangerous as the daily "clearance sale!" emails from Motherhood Maternity...I ordered another 4 tank tops and a knit dress today from the 50% off sale they are having!
@vikinggirl12 yahoo! that is SO exciting! what IT treatment did you do?
We started with the baked egg challenge after his blood numbers came back soo low. We were made to bring in 24 muffins with a 1 egg to 1 cup of flour ratio cooked at 350 for 30 minutes. Since he passed that, we had to continue that recipe for a few weeks. Every few weeks we went back and increased the egg to flour ratio and decreased the cook time. I was so sick of baking muffins and he was getting to where he didn't want them anymore. Eventually the allergist said it was time to try pancakes. He did really well with that and then we did scrambled egg three times with no reaction. So I guess it wasn't a true OIT since I've had friends have to have their kids do their dosages different ways and in more controlled environments. We were hoping he'd be the same with peanuts but he had an ana reaction during his peanut challenge after 1/4 teaspoon of peanut butter.. his throat closed up and this mama almost passed out.
H is dieting, so I'm trying to be nice and eat healthy food with him at home. However, at work I just dug through my purse to find change for the vending machine and drained a bag of peanut M&Ms in 5 seconds. Worth it.

I was gonna ask about the therapy too. That is so amazing, and I'm sure such a relief for you! I hope maybe someday you can do a form of OIT that works for his peanut allergy. I have looked into OIT for our daughter but we live in a rather remote area and the closest doctors doing it are a 6 hour drive away and it just isn't realistic for us to go up there. But seriously that is so awesome for you guys

That is so fantastic! I'm glad the egg IT went well! In a way, eggs are so much harder to avoid than peanuts. So now he can enjoy all those baked yummies! Look into the PEPITES Viaskin Peanut Patch Study at Children's Hospital. They are enrolling participants now for Phase II and it looks promising. He would have to go through the peanut challenge again as a criteria for enrollment, and that can definitely be scary and deterrent for parents who want to enroll their children. Good luck!
Happy Fat Tuesday ladies! I've never posted in the random thread before, but I've been lurking and I have to say I absolutely love all of your honest posts! I'm about to go have ladies night with my mil and 2 sil...one of whom is about 15 weeks preggo with baby #2 and a huge whiner. Can't say I'm looking forward to,it at all...I can't stand her really on a good day. But pregnant and overly whiney is just no good. Have a good night!
H brought himself home a bottle of my favorite cab. He can't find the bottle opener/cork screw. And he used it last, obvi.
I'm really, really enjoying watching him struggle with a screw and needle nose pliers. I could do this all night.
I'll bet he asked you where the wine opener was when he couldn't find it....men.
Absolutely! And tried to blame me for moving it when we cleared the counters to do the backsplah. Um, yeah, if I'd seen it, I'd have put it back in the drawer. Like a normal human. Eye roll.

Eeek that scares me! But I would also hate to miss out! Is there a certain age criteria?? Where is children's hospital? Are there multiple locations? I am 3.5 hours from Atlanta and 1.5 hours from Shands... Would def not mind traveling. Our allergist told me about the peanut patch. His last blood test for peanut was only .18 but I learned very quickly that that has nothing to do with severity of the allergy, just the likeliness of a reaction.. (I think?)

This kid is alternating between curb stomping my cervix and what I think is my bladder (?) and I'm literally sitting in class right now desperately trying not to yelp/piss my pants.
I hope he finds a new favorite spot to wail on before he gets any bigger.
