Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant...I'm so tired again, all the time! I thought I was supposed to be full of energy?! But, of course, I can't sleep in. I'm just stuck in this cycle.
Rave...My mom is coming over today to paint the baseboards in the nursery. The previous owners slopped paint all over the place, so we're trying to tidy that up. We've got to do the rest of the house, too, but baby steps.
Symptoms...shortness of breath & trouble taking deep breaths. Sometimes I feel like I have to force myself to yawn just to feel some relief. RLP, headaches, heartburn...& definite baby brain.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Working on the nursery some more. H & I didn't end up putting the crib together yesterday, so we might do that while my mom paints today. I'm excited to watch everything come together!

Also, kitty is at the vet with H. Poor guy is never sick, but something is clearly up with the little man. He's 7, so middle-aged for a cat, so I'm hoping it is just a bug and not something terrible.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Soooo tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired. Sore but not as bad as it has been to be honest. I am getting awfully sick of climbing stairs though.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing particularly baby-oriented. Working on my (almost done!) kitchen reno and reorganizing and cleaning the whole apartment.

We didn't have a first dance song at our wedding and we don't really have a "song" in general...is that terrible? I love my husband so much but we are not very romantic people.

H wants to use Ronald as our sons middle name, after his dad. I totally get that...but, I really don't like it. I thought we were going to go with David, after his Grandpa, since the 1st name is a family name from my side. So, in an effort to compromise I was hoping to find names similar to Ronald...mostly focusing on names that share a meaning. That's where I'm stumped...I'm not finding much, and anything I have found is worse (in my opinion). Do you ladies have any suggestions for me? Luckily we're still got plenty of time to sort this all out, but it was on my mind a lot last night so wanted to look into it today.

How far along: 20 weeks and 3 days
Rants / Raves/ Symptoms: In my anatomy scan it showed I have a low lying placenta which is completely covering the cervix. It has time to go up but I have a repeat scan in Wednesday to confirm if I have to cancel my trip back to Ireland next weekend! So I'm in tender hooks!
Sleeping crap and RLP really is a pain!
Also is missing wine terribly a symptom!
GTKY: I'm Irish so we had a traditional Irish Waltz at our wedding but a song we both love is Bruce Springstein Glory Days. Reminds me of when we were so carefree when we started dating first.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: I love that it's the weekend, but I have soooo much work to do this weekend. I think I'm going to be attached to my computer for the next two days.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Getting ready to move in another week or so. Then we'll be able to start setting up a nursery!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Raves: I went out with some friends last night to one of those places where you paint pottery, and I made a cute train-shaped coin bank for my daughter (she loves Thomas the Tank Engine). Can't wait to show it to her! Also, I am so proud of myself for eating healthy when we all went out to dinner afterwards--I got a napa salad and crispy brussels sprouts. I should add that I totally ate a cookie for breakfast...but hey...nobody's perfect. P.S. I got the brussels sprouts because someone highly recommended them, and let me say, they were incredible! I never knew brussels sprouts could be so delicious!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Yesterday, all I had were rants so I'm making up for it with all raves today. I'm feeling great, I finally caught up on some much-needed sleep, my husband and I finally made a list of house to-dos before baby and I feel better knowing it's all organized and my laptop works! Hurrah!

We had a wedding but didn't do a first dance. However, our song has always been Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean, it came out when we started dating and we joked how it was on everywhere we went. Also "Farmer's Daughter" by Rodney Adkins. My husband is a big country fan haha.
My favorite love song would probably be one from the Spill Canvas, Lullaby.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: The talk with my boss yesterday went okay. I got enough of a pay raise to cover any income H might lose so I'm happy about that and didn't want to push it any further. I also talked with his son about hiring me to work for him after the baby comes (still selling insurance, different company) and he agreed so I'll revisit my salary and such after I get back to work some time in in August. So I feel less stressed for now... until my coworker resigns on Monday that is, lol.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I got sick of having our pack n play in a heap in the closet because H insisted on putting it together immediately but couldn't get it back in the box. So I put that together in our room last night and got all emotional because there's going to be a baby in there in 4 months. Whaaat.

It was "This I Promise You" by N'Sync. But it was an Anthem Lights cover. I couldn't get H on board with the original and it was a really long flipping song! We mostly just talked the whole time about how awkward it was that everyone was staring and a lot of "Oh my god how much longer is this song?"
Rant: we have had no power for almost 24 hours due to the snow storm yesterday. My husband works at night until midnight so my dog and I went to my friends house last night after work. Still no power so I might go back ugh!

We have bought all the big stuff, and are working on getting the nursery put together. Also going to start our diaper stash. We want to do cloth diapers, but are also open to gdiapers. They are a little pricy to get started so we have been buying a few hear and there every payday.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: my effing cat climbed the ladder to the attic just now. H was up there replacing some insulation. So I had the pleasure of chasing the cat around 10"+ of blown in insulation in the unfinished attic. Then had to try and smooth everywhere he disturbed it. That shit.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Thought I decided on a paint color. Bought a sample. Put it on the wall. Hate it.

Questions? My MIL and father both were upset that my H and I went to ikea and bought our furniture. They said furniture is traditionally purchased by the grandparents, which is obviously extremely generous. I had no idea! It was unintentional and we would have been so grateful, but we didn't know. Are there any other traditions that I should know about?? I don't want to step on toes.

What are you doing to prepare for baby? Going to buy buy baby today with DH to show him what I've put on the registry so far & take another in person look at the crib before committing. Spent the morning looking at nursery decor online too, trying to come up with themes!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: this is gonna sound really ridiculous but here it goes. Sorry it's kinda long. My in laws have a cruise planned to Alaska from June 19-26th. My estimated due date is June 24th aka right in the middle of their trip. We don't want them to cancel their trip because if this stubborn little diva of a fetus decides to come late (a very real possibility), they're missing the trip for nothing, and since they live out of state, we'd prefer they don't come to see her until we're home from the hospital anyways. Since its rare to deliver on your actual due date, we never told anyone my official due date, we just told them late June/early July. After every appointment, my MIL asks if they've given me a more specific due date yet despite me explaining to her exactly why we've been saying late June/early July and not a more specific date since the beginning. I don't know why but it really bugs me, no one else seems to care that they can't mark their calendar for a specific day, why does she?

GTKY: I am one of those uptight people who hates dancing so we didn't have a first dance. There was music and a dance floor for those who did but I noticed people were more into socializing. For the record, my BF was totally pissed at me that I wasn't going to have a first dance at my wedding. It's been almost 5 yrs and I have thought fondly about my wedding many times and never regretted it so poo poo on her lol ; )

@hockeyfan42: I told H about your cat in the attic issue this am, and he cracked up only because that's EXACTLY what my other cat would do given the opportunity. Whenever one of us is in the attic, the other is on cat watch duty so no one sneaks up the ladder. Must have been a pain. Ugh.
