Ok so just to make sure of ER that means Egg Retrieval right? So take two days off after egg retrieval or after they put whatever fertilized eggs I get in the end after they put them back? How are your ultrasounds going? I had my baseline US on Tuesday and I had 13 potential follicles. Tomorrow will be my Stim Day 4 US and blood work. I'm currently only on Follistim 375 IU. But tomorrow evening I will start the Menopur, 3 vials. I'm nervous and excited for tomorrow morning to see if the Follistim is waking up any follicles! @rachlee2010 Yay! only 1 continued to grow @wenikilina It was frozen on day 5 as an expanded blast AB..we are most likely transferring it next cycle. We froze instead of fresh because they said the success rate with frozen is about 10-almost 20% higher for women my age and we want to give ourselves any extra points where we can! Here's hoping it's a good egg/embryo, chromosomal normal and implants!!!

@lsatturo126 I only took 1 day off for ER, but you might wanna take 2 to be on the safe side. My ET was on a Friday so that was the only day I needed to take off. I stayed in bed the day of the transfer and the next me and DH went to the Aquarium in Baltimore just to help take our minds off of the whole process. If I would have stayed in bed all week Google might have drove me crazy.

On Saturday I had my stimulation day 4 ultrasound and I have 14 potential follicles. 7 that are measurable which includes 1 that is ahead of the game so that will end up being sacrificed. So that makes 6! With the Menopur that I started that night, it will help the other follicles to all grow together and not have one dominant follicle like what is currently happening while on the Follistim. Last time I only had 3! Twice as many, twice as nice! Today I go in for my stimulation day 6 ultrasound. I'm feeling very uncomfortable down there and I am excited about that because last cycle I never got the uncomfortable/full feeling at all. I am realllyy hoping for positive news and not another early ovulation coming. I might be started on the Ganirelix and Estrace today, depending on the ultrasound results.

@wenikilina So I'm on day 8 and they only see 2 follicles on the left and none on the right as my right hasn't worked once since i've started *it's much smaller the ovary and I think it's just not working. On the left one is 16mm and the other is 12mm. I'm hoping the dr decides to take them out although i've read that if there aren't more than 3 they cancel IVF and i'm not sure I want to lose these two follicles. Every month since I've started even IUI, the most they have seen are like 3 so i'm not sure i'll ever make more than what I am now. Any advice? I know you had 3 starting and then now you have 14 potential,,, what were your doses again? And meds? I think i'm going to need to go more aggressive on the meds because the only thing I am taking is the menopur 75. And 1000mg of Metophormin. Ugh,,, any suggestions ladies? I'm now 36 as of last Tuesday so I know i'm older than everyone in this post.

@lsatturo126 I started off on 150 Menopur and 300 gonal -f and then I was reduced to 225 Gonal f after about 8 days of stimming. Ganarelix was added the last 5 days. I stimmed for 12 days
@TWWAB oh ok. So they called me and I'm taking THE SHOT tonight and the ER is wed at 10am. They are going to do the two follicles since that's all I ever make. I'm praying so hard that both take and I'll have them insert on Monday morning. This is so upsetting but I guess there's not much more to do right now. Ugh. @LSatturo126 I don't have much advice but i just did my first IVF cycle and we did a mini stim version. If you are only on 75IU of menopur that sounds pretty low to me. I did a mini low dose version and started out on 75 IUs of menopur combined with letrozole pills and then after 2 or 3 days at 75 we upped it to 150 and then after a few days upped that to 225 and for the final night upped it 300. I had about 5 follicles at my last check before triggering and they got 3 mature eggs, 2 that fertilized and one that made it to a day 5 blast. We froze it and will be transferring it back this month. We only froze it because the dr said our chances of pregnancy were about 10-15% higher with a frozen transfer over a fresh and we wanted any extra points we could get. Good luck..I hope they get 2 great eggs!!!

@LSatturo126 I am hoping that will be the one for you!!! I took my trigger shot this evening and will be having my ER on Friday! Exciting. I have six follicles that made it to size in time. I know how the numbers drop, so I will just hope for the best.
This cycle I was on an antagonist protocol. I started at 375 IU of Follistim in the AM and on stim day 4, added on 225 of Menopur in the PM. At this time we decreased the Follistim to 225 for the following days. On stim day 6 we added on the vial of Ganirelix in the AM and 2mg Estrace AM and PM. Stim day 8 was today and I only took my morning meds. HCG trigger was at 7:45pm. ER will be 7:45am on Friday! It seems quick. Did you do the ICSI?

I've been trying to keep up. I have read all the updates, but don't always have time to respond. DW has her egg retrieval in the morning! We are only transferring 1, but we would love to have an extra or 2 to try again if this try is unsuccessful.

I'm cautiously optimistic. DW has a low amh (.8 I think) and they said it was bc of the endometrioma on her ovary. They drained it, but it was still there after the surgery. She has 11 follicles that are the right size, but we are worried if there are actually eggs in there and if they will progress (fertilize, grow, etc). I get discouraged from time to time seeing people that get 20+ eggs! I know it only takes one!! My fx so hard for you @wenikilina!!

I got my FET calendar. I start BCP tonight for 2 weeks then I take estrogen and then add in progesterone. The transfer should be on 3/8..It feels so far away..We only have the 1 embryo..I just want to know if it works or not

But I am sure that all are not mature. How did you find out so quickly about maturity? I will not find out til tomorrow how many were mature and how many were fertilized. I am excited! But also aware that the number will drop. Oh, and you were right. I had a great nap during the procedure! haha

@LSatturo126 You are almost there! My ER will be shortly after yours (hopefully!). How are your ultrasounds going? I had my baseline US on Tuesday and I had 13 potential follicles. Tomorrow will be my Stim Day 4 US and blood work. I'm currently only on Follistim 375 IU. But tomorrow evening I will start the Menopur, 3 vials. I'm nervous and excited for tomorrow morning to see if the Follistim is waking up any follicles!

@lsatturo126 I only took 1 day off for ER, but you might wanna take 2 to be on the safe side. My ET was on a Friday so that was the only day I needed to take off. I stayed in bed the day of the transfer and the next me and DH went to the Aquarium in Baltimore just to help take our minds off of the whole process. If I would have stayed in bed all week Google might have drove me crazy.
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!

This cycle I was on an antagonist protocol. I started at 375 IU of Follistim in the AM and on stim day 4, added on 225 of Menopur in the PM. At this time we decreased the Follistim to 225 for the following days. On stim day 6 we added on the vial of Ganirelix in the AM and 2mg Estrace AM and PM. Stim day 8 was today and I only took my morning meds. HCG trigger was at 7:45pm. ER will be 7:45am on Friday! It seems quick. Did you do the ICSI?
