BA in journalism, minor in sociology and extra emphasis on non-profit fundraising ... School is hard yall and I'm soooo happy to be done with all that!!
DH has a JD so I joke that I emotionally have one too - that ish was stressful
Alright...I feel really dumb now lol. I graduated high school with a top scholar award but didn't receive any scholarships or anything. My mom was a single mom since I was 6 and she worked really hard to provide for my sister and me. We didn't have extra money to go to college so right out of school I went to work full time. I had my first dd at 23 and have never really found the extra time to go back to school. I don't regret anything but if I had to go back and do it over again I would have found a way to help mom and get a higher education.
@jamiesc58 Don't feel too bad. I worked really hard to finish my BA in Psychology (Anthropology minor), but the best, highest paying job I've been asked to find is a receptionist. Same job I had while I was in school. The market sucks and unfortunately you can't really work in the field of psychology without a masters. It's been very discouraging for me. We will not be pressing our kids to go to college. Over $40,000 in debt and I make about $27,000 a yr and work with people who can't spell or even use words correctly or understand simple concepts . . . depressing. I'm trying to find a way to be a SAHM because it's just not worth being away from my child to stay at an unfulfilling job.
Bachelors in Nursing...I am currently finishing up my last semester of my masters program. In May, I will graduate from a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program and be eligible to take my board exam!
@cait5413 curious what you do or plan to do once you have your PhD in Mgt. I have an MBA and have thought about going the Doctorate route so I could eventually be a professor. Just can't work up the courage to go back to school. Again. Congrats on approaching graduation... That's awesome!
@jamiesc58 Don't feel that way at all! We all make choices based on our circumstances at the time. While I don't regret my education, I also wouldn't choose the same path if I got to do it over again. In many ways, I feel trapped in my current field because I spent so much time and money getting where I am.
Dr of dental surgery (DDS) with an advanced education in general dentistry. Working on my fellowship In academy of general dentistry. Just a Bunch o dental jargon . *edit*--- while I am proud of my career it is indeed stressful and most days I would give anything to be a stay at home mom for a while. Currently trying to cut back my work hours right now ....

girl don't even stress, higher ed is great if it applies to your career path but it's not a necessity. i loved academic bioscience but ended up working as a healthcare executive- for some reason all my colleagues consistently assume my master's was an mba. my knowledge of biotech is really 100% irrelevant.
tbh if i had to choose between grad school and my tummy tuck i think the plastic surgery was a better use of money.

I'm going to be a professor. I've got a position at a small, liberal arts school, which I am really looking forward to EXCEPT that my start date is a little more than 2 weeks after my due date. >< Hoping LO comes a little early. I specialized in Organizational Behavior, but have classmates who specialized in strategy (pay is a little better, but not as interesting to me). Entrepreneurship is also a very hot field now with a lot of positions. You can also do consulting work, which pays very well in general. It is a lot of work, absolutely, but the lifestyle is pretty great and the pay is nice (depending upon what your pay is like now. I was making about $40k before I went back, so this will be a big step up--more than double). The other nice thing about PhD programs is they usually cover your tuition and provide a bit of a stipend. My friends who are MDs are appalled at how much debt they have compared to my $0 in debt for grad school. But it is 4-5 years of really hard work to get there. Let me know if you have more questions!

I went to college for 4 years and four credits from graduating before deciding to move to Las Vegas for a year and then moving back to the Midwest. I then met my H and became a licensed esthetician and followed him through residency and his fellowship. I always wanted to be a make up artist and worked for Dior.
I'm now a SAHM.
I might finish my degree after we are finished with having babies.

@jamiesc58 I second this ^. We all may have different jobs but we will all be fantastic moms!
