@NovaSaysNo I have no wisdom to offer other than to say I love when doctors of different specialties put their heads together for a patient (esp Mayo docs!!). I'm hoping for clear answers and the best for you. I'm so sorry that you're facing that. You have every right to be scared and anxious. Sending hugs to you!

WAYD: all of it
R/R/CS: Good things: successful EOD sex, a +OPK that I've traced to negative, a -HPT to confirm that these high temps are likely just from travel/time change/climate change/heavy blanket. Bad things: my baseline temp is soooo high, no spike yet, and I have no idea where the spike would go because we are a degree away from fever today. I went into this cycle knowing it would probably be a wash due to all of the stress and moving around, but I still want a pretty chart to interpret.
GTKY: I totally am not. I love the idea of it and then read the first chapter, put the book down, and never pick it up again. Seriously, I ask people about books based on what happens in the first chapter. I think the last book I finished was A Severe Mercy, and before that was probably another nonfiction of the medical type called Better.

WAYDTGKTFU: PNVs, exciting stuff won't be for a little while.
R/R/CS: Boo cramps. I hope a trip to the gym helps.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? I don't read as much as I'd like, but I just finished the first Game of Thrones book and am onto the second.

WAYDTGKTFU: Just preparing as much as I can while AF is visiting.
R/R/CS: None at the moment. Just wanting these cramps to go away ASAP.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? The last book I read was "Yes Please," by Amy Poehler. Highly recommend!

GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? Yes. I'm re-reading Pride and Prejudice right now
@novasaysno I'm so sorry about what you're going through. My only advice to you, and I can't even do this myself, is to not dwell on the past and your decisions and what could have been. That'll just drive you crazy. *Hugs, hugs, hugs.*
@nys27 that really sucks about being benched for the month, but I think it's a good decision. This way you can enjoy your vacation! And hopefully the cycle will fly by since you'll be looking forward to your trip!
@atcwag A couple of the things I've heard work for CM that I have not tried, so you would have to research a bit and not take it from me- evening primrose oil, drinking lots of water, mucinex.
@cjt121413 I'm so sorry that you're having such a rough time. People definitely make it worse sometimes... and I'm totally with your with being over opks, temping, facebook announcements.. Bleh.
@gonetothesea "Yes Please!" is so good!!! I read it on vacation in November in like 2 days. Have you read Tina Fey's "Bossypants" and Mindy Kaling's "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" and "Why Not Me?"

WAYDTGKTFU: AF needs to go away now. Other than that I'm doing everything except cp and this month I'm adding B6 and EPO to the mix.
R/R/CS: Super low temp this morning, don't know what that was about. Maybe from drinking yesterday, but I guess I won't discard based on what everyone is saying in this thread today.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? I just finished "Station Eleven," everyone raves about it but I wasn't a huge fan. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for it. I'm currently just starting "The Girl on the Train."

R/R/CS: ugh, my temps are being weird, but I looked at my previous two charts, and I think this may just be a thing my temps do... Give me a rise two days before O then dip and go back up. If that's the case, I'll have a slightly lower temp tomorrow with positive OPKs. Of course that'll be worse for us timing-wise. We'll get some sex in today in fairly certain, but tomorrow and Tuesday are both highly unlikely because weekdays and DH's work schedule.
GTKY: I read almost as much as I watch TV (which is to say too much). I've been on a bit of a re-reading kick these days, but I believe I have the most recent In Death series book waiting for me when I'm ready for more new!
Edit: Fourth time's the charm for adding charts? This cycle:
And last cycle (where that dip/rise before OPK/O was actually two tenths of a degree more of a delta):

I seriously don't know what I would do without this board.
@Marley629 Congratulations!!!! @NovaSaysNo I'm sorry for everything you are going through. It sucks. It really sucks. I did want to pass on some reading recommendations from one ancient history fan to another: if you are looking for good nonfiction, I recommend Goddesses, Whores, Wives, and Slaves: Women in Classical Antiquity. It is well-written and it covers the the shifting role of women in both Greek and Roman society over the course of 1500 years. If you are in the mood for fiction, check out some of Colleen McCullough's (The Grass Crown, Caesar's Women, Anthony and Cleopatra, The October Horse, and Fortune's Favorite).

WAYDTGKTFU: Temping, charting, OPKs, the usual suspects
R/R/CS: I went to the OBGYN about a week and a half ago because over the last few months AF has hung around a lot longer than usual, even though my cycle length has stayed pretty much the same. If you want to read all the details you can check out my posting history in Trouble TTC board but the long story short is that the MD is suspecting PCOS. I am just a wreck over all of this at the moment; I really never thought having a baby was going to be this difficult. Even though the rational side of my brain knows I am just being crazy I can't help but feel that my body has betrayed me and that I am broken. ("Honestly, Ovaries, you had one job and you eff'ed it up!!!"). I have an appointment on Tuesday to follow-up with my OBGYN to get more answers but I am trying to see the positive in all of this; if I do have PCOS I am actually getting the help I need and I will get the assistance I needed before having to endure a full 12 months of unsuccessful trying and frustration. DH and I are just treating everything like business as usual in the TTC department until we get more answers. I had a slight thermal shift this morning, so if I really did O yesterday our timing would actually be pretty great this month.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions?
I love to read but I just don't seem to have time for it right now. The last book I read was A Feast for Crows in the Game of Thrones series. I really dislike fantasy books but I genuinely enjoy George R.R. Martin's books, mostly because he is so good at developing compelling characters and situations that evolve so quickly and dramatically you just can't put his books down.
@brambles1 and @NovaSaysNo I love historical fiction but haven't read much aside from Philippa Gregory's Cousins War series and a few others, I'm going to look into both of yours! Those sound great.
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI, then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.

@soda23 I put drinking, etc. on the day of the drink, not the day of the temp it could affect.
@nys27 I'm sorry about the Zika situation. I have heard that Turks is totally amazing, so hope you will enjoy your trip and stay bug-free for a quick return to TTC!
@atcwag I am also in the low-CM category and the two biggest recommendations I have heard so far are green tea and Mucinex. About a month in, though, I've yet to see results from green tea alone. Haven't tried Mucinex yet myself.
Cycle/Month: 2/2
CD: 9
WAYDTGKTFU: Temping, green tea, PNVs
R/R/CS: Not much to say right now. Just at the boring part where temps are staying low and there's nothing to obsess about yet.
GTKY: Like others, I love reading but have a hard time finding the time to do it when I'm not on vacation. When I do read, I love nonfiction, particularly sociology and science related books. I also love fantasy. I'm slowly working my way through the Lord of the Rings trilogy and would also like to read Game of Thrones.
R/R/CS: +OPK on CD16 and CD17. CD19 now and still no temp spike. I guess I should resign myself to the fact that my body tried to O but didn't quite make it. So I'm assuming I'm out this month since we won't be able to have good timing with a later O with DH being gone all of February for work. Looks like I'll be hanging out here in WTO thread till I O next cycle.

WAYDTGKU: PNV, Metformin, more stuff once I'm home from my work trip and jump my husband tonight
R/R/CS: I finished my Provera yesterday so I expect my period tonight or tomorrow morning! And tomorrow I will resume temping and next week or so I'll start OPKs again. I keep getting my hopes up for this cycle and then I remember that I was hopeful last cycle too and nothing changed...sooo... My emotions are a roller coaster!
GTKY: I normally never ever read! But lately I've been trying to be better... I recently read Zero Day and I listened to The Forgotten on cd and I'm in the middle of The Escape... All by David Baldacci. I like these types of spy/ murder investigator books!

GTKY: So, yes. I read a lot. When I was in grad school we had to read around ten children's/middle-grade/young adult books a month, and so I've kept myself in that habit since graduating last July, just because there are SO many books out there that I haven't read. As for a recent cover-to-cover read, I devoured Rainbow Rowell's newest, Carry On, which is sort of like Harry Potter, but not really, and with gay romance. It sounds strange, but really, it was fantastic. (If any of you have read Fangirl, it's an extension of the fanfiction the main character is writing in that book. So, a very silly concept, but wonderful, too.) I've also just started the third book in the Gemma Doyletrilogy by Libba Bray, which promises to be great. Victorian England + magic worlds and power struggles within? Yes, please. On a side note, I'm close to finishing the draft of my YA novel and will be starting my search for agents within the next week or two. The first person I'm going to send it to is Libba Bray's husband/agent, Barry Goldblatt. The man is pretty elite, so it's going to be an instant no, but still. Wouldn't that be fun if he said yes?
Edited to try and fix weird punctuation problems. We'll see if it worked.

No, just kidding. I actually got an email saying that my shipment went out today... but I mean, I ordered it over a week ago. I've literally ordered things on a Sunday night and had them at 8:30 the next morning, but I've actually been hearing that Amazon is doing some weird things with shipping lately. Anyway, I don't need my OPKs until at least late this week, so it doesn't really matter. I just want my things, dammit!
@LINDSEYRVA Haha, sorry! I did have the same issue with printer paper recently. It was in stock online but for some reason took two weeks to ship. WTF?! We needed that paper!

@Novasaysno I'm so sorry you are going through all of this but agree with PPs that it sounds like you have a great team caring for you. We have very close friends who just had a miracle baby after nearly 10years of heartbreaks. I think of them to give me hope during my TTC journey that hasn't gone smoothly the last year. It is amazing what can be done to support having a healthy pregnancy. Don't give up hope. Creepy internet stranger hugs to you.

R/R/CS: The weekends go by waaaayyy too fast!!
GTKY: The last book I read was Grey by EL James. Couldn't help myself. It was an easy read.
Okay so here's my roundup post for today. I may not mention everyone so if you don't get mentioned it's just because I wasn't sure what to say. But know that I read your post and I'm hoping that good things happen for you!
@slpd123 Sorry about CD1. That has to be one of the worst parts of TTC.
@Marley629 ahhhh! That's so exciting! Congratulations! I'm very happy for you and your SO. Or should I say, and your fiance. Also, yay for O.
@ShinyPenny82 I'm sorry that you're sicl. Hoping you feel better soon.
@NovaSaysNo I'm so sorry! That sounds absolutely horrible. I can't even put into words how sorry I am that all is that happening to you. Try not to be hard on yourself about deciding to wait. There is no way you could have known all this would happen. You and your partner made the best decision you could at the time with the information you had. And there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with that. I really hope that Clomid is successful for you. Lots of creepy internet hugs.
@khbear O is the day before the temp spike. Once ovulation occurs the corpus luteum starts to produce progesterone. The progesterone that is produced is what causes the temp spike and the elevated temps during the luteal phase.
@soda23 alcohol can interfer with sleep and raise BBT. If you drank last night you should chart it for last night. At least, that's always been my understanding of how it works.
@LINDSEYRVA I definitely here you on the whole DH staying up late thing. My DH almost never goes to bed with me. He just wakes me up at like 3am when he finally comes to bed. He usually stays up watching things on TV and sometimes when he comes to bed he'll ever start conversations with me about something he saw on TV. Once I'm awake it is really hard for me to go back to sleep so this peeves me to no end. By the time he finally gets done being chatty and having every light in the bedroom and bathroom turned on so he can get ready for bed I'm wide awake and can't get back to sleep a lot of nights. Thanks DH. You're so very thoughtful. Why can't our husbands just go to bed when we do!?
@nys27 aw sorry about being benched! I can understand wanting to be able to enjoy your trip without worrying about the zika virus.
@atcwag Your WAYDTGKTFU made me laugh. I don't know a lot of good ways to increase CM. I know antihistamines (benadryl, allegra, claritin, zrytec, pretty much anything for allergies) can dry up CM. And being dehydrated can dry up CM. I know some ladies take EPO till O to help with CM but I've never tried it so I can't confirm/deny that it works.
@MamaMunn I'm hearing you on the needing O to hurry up because the HIO just isn't going to go much longer. Hopefully it's soon!
@cjt21413 I'm so sorry for your loss. I can definitely understand what it's like to have really hard TTCAL loss days. It is such an isolating experience also since most people just don't seem to understand. Just know that we're all here for you and way too many of us know what you're going through and understand. We're all here to be a shoulder to cry on whenever you need.
@murray1030 ugh I'm so sorry. CD1 and a baby shower is just a really unfortunate combination.
@Zoey1019 I can't really tell anything from your chart, in terms of if/when you O'd. Hopefully it will become more clear in the next couple of days.
@mrsdee and @gonetothesea Sorry about cramps! Hopefully you both feel better soon.
@brambles1 I'm sorry. It's good that you're able to find some silver linings to that cloud. Hopefully now that they know what is going on they can find something that will work for you to get you KTFU.

WAYDTGKTFU: Eating healthier, PNV, temping, charting... will continue OPK and BD EOD or ED during FW. Possibly going to try preseed this cycle?
R/R/CS: Sad it's CD1, but ready to try it again this cycle. Going to figure out what else to do differently. On a positive note, I'm more familiar with temping, charting and my cycle.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? I last read "Dark Places", which was good. It's from the same author as "Gone Girl". I'm currently reading "Luckiest Girl Alive" which is very good so far!
WAYDTGKTFU: taking vitamins, waiting for AF to end
R/R/CS: had a good cry and the talk with DH- he finally said out loud how much this process can suck. He's not a feelings guy so it was nice to hear that I'm not alone in feeling crappy when AF keeps showing up.
GTKY: I'm a middle school teacher and grad student so most of my reading is tied up in those two realms, but...I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and reread book 4 and 5 over Christmas break
Me & DH 27 Together since high school Married June 2012 TTC after CP in September 2015
WAYDTGKTFU: PNV only. Did OPK last month but I think it stressed me out more than it helped.
R/R/CS: Same as @NurseMarie9 above, sad about CD1 but I guess it's good to move on and start fresh. For now I'm staying away from temping... Will re-evaluate every month.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? I really like science fiction - I last read Philip K Dick's Man in the High Castle, really fascinating stuff, although the end is somewhat anticlimactic and a bit of a letdown... I also highly recommend the new show by the same name. Overall I don't read nearly as much as I would like, because work gets in the way a lot. I am a big fan of Isaac Asimov. As far as classics, I love Tolstoi, Pushkin, Dumas and Hugo as well as Hermann Hesse. Contemporary, love Jonathan Safran Foer, Leon De Winter and Paul Auster.
@NamelessAria that is so cute and SO ANNOYING about your husband. It's like, he just wants to talk to you! But also, can he do his talking at a normal hour??? It turns out that my husband did not stay up later than me last night. We got home pretty late and I was pretty sleepy and tipsy, and he came upstairs with me and kissed me goodnight like he was going to come downstairs, but I vaguely remember being all, "nooooo, come cuddle with me!" Apparently he got in bed with me, but I had fallen asleep so quickly that I didn't even notice. So now I have no idea why he slept until 10am.
The fact that he stays up late doesn't bother me - it's the fact that he then sleeps until eternity all morning. I kind of get up early no matter what. I don't usually notice when he comes in because I sleep like a brick. But then I wake up in the morning and I'm SO LONELY hanging out downstairs and trying to be quiet by myself. I usually start making breakfast/coffee and making noise so he'll wake up.
Marley629 Congrats! NovaSaysNo I am SO sorry. I will definitely keep you in my prayers. cjt121413 I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. I totally understand the feeling. I am so sick of sex to be honest! I've unfollowed so many friends on facebook because of their pregnancies/children. I feel like I'm losing so many friends because I can't stand to be around them right now. Feel free to PM me any time to vent. (PS I love The SHACK. I can't wait for the movie! GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? I was a avid reader in middle school/high school. I currently have at least five books purchased/gifted to me in the last year I haven't really started. I have started reading one I recently purchased about miscarriages/grieving after one.
Thanks everyone for your supporting words regarding having to be benched to avoid the Zika virus. This is scary stuff! I think over the course of the day I've started to come to terms with it. I'm just so thankful that it's only month and that I don't live in one of the affected areas so I can get right back to TTC the following month. And hey, maybe taking a month off will put some excitement back into the process. DH has been great about providing supportive words too which has made me feel better about the situation and also his commitment to TTC.
@MRSCORKER - oh man! I'm sorry that you're in this boat too. Well I'm glad we can support each other and aren't alone! We both better enjoy these trips then - eff Zika!

R/R/CS: We have two new fosters that arrived this morning. An orange tabby and a fat white hamster. Their family decided they didn't have time for pets, so DH and I are taking them for a bit until they find a new home. The cat and hamster actually seem to be friendly together. The previous owners said they let the kitty have supervised playtime with the hamster since the cat was a baby kitten. It's a bit strange.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions?
I'm not so much of a reader now. I used to read all the time. Currently I am slowly plodding through Gone with the Wind again. It feels so much longer than I remember when I last read it as a freshman in high school.

Thank you so much. I am totally with you on unfollowing people on FB. Lately I'll be thinking, "I wonder why so-and-so never posts on FB anymore. Oh yeah, I unfollowed her because she's KU with twins/pregnant with her second in 3 years/etc." I didn't know there's going to be a movie for the Shack! It'll be interesting to see how they pull that off. I'll have to check out Crossroads.

@sldp123 I'm sorry about CD1. Great gif, though!
Bleh.

@NovaSaysNo Wow. That is a lot to deal with, but they say life never gives you more than you can handle, even if it might not feel that way at the time. It sounds like you are in good hands, and PPs have said a lot of sound things. Isn't that funny, how we never seem to tell ourselves the advice we would give a friend, but you know <strike>if</strike> in your heart that it is what it is, and you'll find a way to walk through this one way or another. I'm actually so inspired by a friend of mine who is going through chemo right now, which is arguably much more serious than what most of us are going through on a daily basis, and she says to me, "I just can't shake this feeling that there's something profoundly life-changing and better for me in store because of this experience." I think that's an awesome attitude. ;) <<hugs>>

@cjt121314 Jeez. They can be ridiculous. I think moms just can't help themselves, like, seriously, they can think it all they want. If they could learn to bite their tongues for a split-second it would go miles to helping you feel less shitty about the whole thing. My step-MiL is lovely. But of course she's all when are the babies coming??? And I pulled the old, "we'll have to wait and see cos it's not entirely up to us!" lol I don't know how may times I have told that woman, "It's in God's time," lol cos usually it's the other way around, but seriously. So at Christmas, right after DH's cousin's wife had JUST announced her BFP and I was talking with an upset 4 year-old telling her to fix her face and use her words etc., she says to me, "you're going to be such a great mommy," aw jeez, thanks. Meanwhile when my own mother was visiting in October and we said, no we're not pregnant, she acts all RELIEVED!?!!!?? I'm like, excuse me?

@gonetothesea @PennStateCait I was looking at getting Why Not Me? on Amazon, but I haven't yet. I was also looking at #Girlboss but honestly there are so many books I want to read, and I need to just finish what I'm on and get in a zone where I can start devouring books again!!

Month/Cycle: 7/7
CD: 24
Martin's books, mostly because he is so good at developing compelling characters and situations that evolve so quickly and dramatically you just can't put his books down.
then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.
Due with #2 5/2/19 after HIO once in my FW,
because apparently that's how life works now. Team Blue!
@NovaSaysNo I'm so sorry for all that you are going through and am glad you have a team of doctors that is taking TTC seriously. I am rooting for you!
@Marley629 Big Congrats!
CD: 19
WAYDTGKTFU: all the things
R/R/CS: +OPK on CD16 and CD17. CD19 now and still no temp spike. I guess I should resign myself to the fact that my body tried to O but didn't quite make it. So I'm assuming I'm out this month since we won't be able to have good timing with a later O with DH being gone all of February for work. Looks like I'll be hanging out here in WTO thread till I O next cycle.
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? I'm a relatively avid reader. I just finished reading The Riyria Revelations series by Michael J. Sullivan.

@NovaSaysNo my heart breaks for you reading what you've been going through. Im glad you have such a collaborative team working with you. It's such a relief when everyone can get together and make a plan considering the whole person/patient!
Month/cycle:8/8
CD: 14
waydtgku: most everything
r/r/CS: Nothing to complain about today
gtky: the last book I read cover to cover is called "the kitchen house" by Kathleen Grissom. Some people I work with were passing it around and told me it was amazing so I read it. It was a real page turner!
CD: 59
@Marley629 Wow, congrats!
Month/Cycle: 1/2
CD: 7
WAYDTGKTFU: Just pnv/charting. Nothing too fantastic over here.
R/R/CS: I think I want a cheeseburger. Heh.
So, a very silly concept, but wonderful, too.) I've also just started the third book in the Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray, which promises to be great.

@slpd123 Sorry about CD1.
@Marley629 ahhhh! That's so exciting! Congratulations!
@ShinyPenny82 I'm sorry that you're sicl.
@NovaSaysNo I'm so sorry! That sounds absolutely horrible.
@prertzel2plus1 best of luck with your lap in 2 weeks!
@virginiaham yay for sucessful EoD sex and +OPKs.
@mrsdee and @gonetothesea Sorry about cramps! Hopefully you both feel better soon.
@brambles1 I'm sorry.

Together since high school

I usually start making breakfast/coffee and making noise so he'll wake up.

cjt121413 I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. Have you read Crossroads? It's written by the same author; not quit as good but still worth reading)

R/R/CS: I was very productive this weekend! We bought supplies to start finishing our basement. I'm excited but not thrilled about the $; we keep talking about getting me an SUV guess that is still on the backburner:(
GTKY: Are you an avid reader? What was the last book you read cover to cover, and how was it?? Any current/specific book suggestions? I was a avid reader in middle school/high school. I currently have at least five books purchased/gifted to me in the last year I haven't really started. I have started reading one I recently purchased about miscarriages/grieving after one.
