  • @Selena2016 Congratulations!
@stephaniewalstrom I am so sorry...hoping you are doing something nice for yourself.
Ladies...help please. AF started this morning... Yay! This is our first round and I feel clueless. I was told to go in day 2, but they are closed on Sundays. No one on phones today while they are there for b/w and u/s. Do I wait until Monday or go today to ask?? I don't want to screw anything up!

  • @StephanieWalstrom so sorry to hear about your news

@alexiskiriluk I’ve heard around 10 day. I’m on day 9 post ER and it hasn’t started. I told my DH that this might be the first time in a very long time that I’m actually looking forward to it showing up – means one step closer!

@kjplaza those are great #s – keep us posted

@momof2furkids I was also worried about that because we were traveling around the holidays. My RE wasn’t concerned – I don’t think a day will make a difference (ours was scheduled for day 3 any way).

    3rd FET 09/14/20

  • @PrincessSabert welcome! This was also my first cycle of IVF. I had my ER on the 21st and am doing genetic testing and a FET – so I’m in the waiting game for my next steps…… I was very nervous going into it (especially about the shots since I hate needles) but really it was nothing compared to how I had it built up in my head! I felt pretty good on the meds – any small issues didn’t last long. And I really didn’t get bloated until the last few days. It’s definitely more stressful emotionally that it is physically (at least for me)….. There are some really good videos that explain the process in more detail that I can send you if you’d like….. as for your RE, I think it’s worth looking (and asking) around. If you are out of pocket, some places have ‘shared risk’ options. A little more expensive going into it but you get your $ back if it doesn’t work out. What area are you in?.... one last FYI – on the Infertility main board, the discussion title ‘**** visitors: please read first before posting *****’ has a good list of Acronyms that you’ll see on here…. Good luck!

  • Dr. called this morning 11 of the 25 were fertilized, now i have to wait till Thursday to hear how my little ones are doing! Also my clinic gave me a 25 lifting restriction and i made the mistake of mentioning it to my boss and because i work per diem i am not allowed light duty so now i have to get a Dr. note clearing me to return to work. I hope the clinic will clear me right away cause i really dont want to miss another week of work. Im feeling pretty sore today and like i have a constant stomach ache or heartburn but im hoping by tomorrow that all goes away.

  • @kjplaza I had 11 fertilize as well! Just got my call from My nurse saying to be there 11:30 Monday for a 12pm transfer! I asked how they were doing but she didn't have any info to give me....she just said I was hearing from her to schedule and not an actual Doctor calling meant everything was going well (I'm so curious though I want more info!! Lol) I went back to work yesterday and am working today and tomorrow as well....yesterday I had bad stomach pains all morning, but today I'm ok just a little sore. The progesterone hasn't hurt at all during the shot, but I already have nasty black and blues on each side and I've only done in 2 nights!! (Not to mention that they couldn't get my IV started for my retrieval so my hands are completely bruised as well....definitely look like a hot mess right now thank god it's not swimsuit season!!)
  • @momof2furkids something I learned during this process is day one is not the first day you bleed but the first day of full flow. Also they told me I'd start on day 2 then when I went in they told me I could start stims on day 2 or 3. If the clinic is close I would go in just to be sure. GL!
  • @momof2furkids I actually didn't start until 5 days after AF came. I was a little nervous but everything worked out fine!
  • @kjplaza great numbers!
@laur2444 how funny I also had 11 firtalized! Lucky 11!!

  • Hi ladies! I had my ER this morning and came home to nap right after. The doctor said he retrieved 14 eggs. I will have another update tomorrow. I'm in a little pain but overall feeling well!
@StephanieWalstrom I'm so sorry to hear about your news
  • @Selena2016 and @laur2444 I want in to check and have an appointment for Monday, day 3. Today counts as day 1 for me because it started so early in the day.Something about 5pm being the cutoff. About to get rolling, trying not to think about the shots...LOL!
Excited for all of the little fertilized eggs out there...grow, grow, grow!

  • Thought of something else (can't seem to keep my thoughts together!) Have you all had medication administration classes? I've been reading about these, but my RE had me look up videos on YouTube...a bit disconcerting even though I am confident I can figure it out.

  • @momof2furkids glad you got it worked out following that calendar can be so stressful! I did have medication administration class but I know many in this group did not and they did just fine.

@Jerseygirl856 glad your ER went well! Rest up!

  • @momof2furkids My clinic offers an IVF information session of a group of IVF couples where the ins and outs of IVF is discussed as well as medication administration. My doctor is mandating this session be attended, which I would've anyway. I will have a separate session with my RE another day where she will take 1 on 1 time to show me how to administer meds.

@momof2furkids no class for me either, just videos from the pharmacy's website. I was wondering that too!  I feel like I've done ok with just the videos.

  • @Jerseygirl856 glad to hear your ER went well – any news on the embryos?

@momof2furkids send you a message with some links that might be helpful

  • @Selena2016 thanks so much! I stayed in bed and watched tv. How are things going with your embies?

@MelD17011 the doctor called today and 9 were mature and 6 fertilized. I was hoping to have higher numbers but it only takes one so I'm staying hopeful that those 6 will continue to grow. Any updates on yours?

Are any of you ladies taking PIO? If so, any advice on how to make it less painful?
  • @jerseygirl856 I started it last Wednesday and it hasn't been hurting at all I just have awful bruises. First, I put an ice back on the area and put my undies/pants over it to hold it nice and tight against the area while I get everything ready. Then I draw up the oil, and put the recapped syringe in my bra (my nurse told me to do this lol) this warms the oil up so it moves quicker out of the syringe when injecting. I wait 5ish minutes, then remove the ice pack and have my husband give me the shot.  He's actually a dentist, so he's used to giving novocaine to patients and has somewhat perfected the art of giving injections that don't hurt. Once he sticks the needle tip in me, he little by little inches his way in with it, so he doesn't just jab me with it at all once lol honestly, the first time he gave it to me I was yelling at him to hurry up and just do it because I didn't even realize he had already been injecting me and was almost done! The whole process takes a little while, but I'm pretty sure if you try it you won't feel a thing!!! Regardless, I still look like someone beat my ass up though lol oh well, at least it's February and not August and bathing suit weather!!
  • @Jerseygirl856 like you said, it only takes one! I'll be doing PIO too and am nervous about that!

@selena2016 hope your second beta is good!

I am possibly triggering tonight! They thought it would be yesterday but then decided I need one more day. I am so uncomfortable so hopefully this is it!
  • I find out today (day 7!!) who made it and than its off for PGS testing. I'm Can't wait to get my results but I'm still really nervous!!! I only had 7 fertilize!
@laur2444 did you have your ET this morning?? Good luck!
  • Thank you @alexiskiriluk and good luck to you too!!! Let us know when you get your results! Transfer is at noon! Ahhhh! Lol
  • @laur2444 great tips! I didn't even think to warm it up and it totally makes sense. I will try your method tonight. Thanks and GL with your ET today!

@Selena2016 clearly I'm having a hard time keeping up as I now remember the awesome news of BFP! Congrats again! Fx that your numbers are great for your second beta! My RE is preparing me for a fresh transfer. That's standard at this practice. I will get another update today.

@minnie1155 glad that things are moving along for you cycle buddy! Fx you get the call to trigger tonight and that ER goes well with a speedy recovery!
  • @alexiskiriluk can't wait for your results !!!!!

@laur2444 good luck today !!! I'll be thinkin of you :)
