Jackson Anthony Born 1/24 EDD 1/30 7lbs 13oz 21inches
I woke up with one painful contraction around 7 in the morning. I got up thinking I just needed to go to the bathroom. I was mistaken as contractions started instantly coming about 1.5 to 2 minutes apart. I didn't think it was real because of how fast it came on. When I went into labor I got extreme shakes so that's how my mom knew it was real. I made it to the hospital at 8:15 where they skipped triage completely and brought me back to the last room they had. (Score!) at this point my contractions were right on top of each other with no break. I was 6 cm. Got my epidural around 9:20. They broke my water around 10:30. The nurses kept saying it would be a long while until I started pushing. They were wrong and I started pushing around 12:20. Pushed for about an hour and 20 minutes. Jackson was born 1:42! I jokingly called that he would be born that day because of the full moon. Guess a mothers intuition is always right! Lol I'm completely smitten with him and am grateful for my fast labor!
Aubrey Elise was born on 1/26/16 at 10:08 pm. I was 40w 2d.
I was in labor for 22 hours at the hospital and pushed for an hour to deliver my 7lb 11oz Angel!
My water broke Monday night at 11pm after having my membranes swept earlier that day and when we got to the hospital I was only 1cm but was started on pitocin to get the contractions going. I was immediately feeling them and basically begging for the epidural but I had to wait until I was 4cm. Unfortunately I was only dilating about 1cm every 2 hours so I didn't get the epidural until 6am! I went to sleep and everything was fine until around 9 am and I woke up to horrible pains in my left side. They tried to changing my positions etc but with every contraction I was in horrible pain. They gave me another dose of the epidural and I was fine for about an hour, then the pain was back. I was in horrible pain all day because she was sitting on a nerve and the epidural was not effective on my left side at all. Then to make things even worse I stopped dilating around 4pm. I was 7 cm for 4 long and painful miserable hours, I was literally begging them to just take the baby out because I could not take the pain. They kept doping me up on anesthesia and it did nothing!!! Her contractions were 1-2 mins apart and I was in intense pain with every one. Fast forward to 8pm the doctor came in and basically told me I was still only 9cm, I had been there for over 2 hours. I had also been running a fever all day but it spiked to about 101, I had gotten an infection from my water being broken too long but She told me to give it a little while longer to try and get me to 10 cm and see if I could push. If not then I would have to have a csection under general anesthesia and I wouldn't get to hold her right away (I was already on the anesthesia they usually use for csection at 2x the dose and it wasn't doing anything for my pain). So I gave it 1 more miserable hour and told my nurse to check me and if it was still a 9 that I would do the section because I had nothing left in me. Babies heart rate was really high so She checked me and I was a 10, she said "guess what baby, it's time to push!" I pushed for an hour and my beautiful girl was here. It hurt like hell and it was the worst experience ever (the pain part) but at the end of the day I was so proud of myself for being able to push her out. My midwife said she didn't want to scare me but they were looking at delivering her at a 9 using the forcepts and suction and episiotomy then the csection as last resort but I was able to push through it and with no tears! I was so proud of myself!
Zachary Lucas was born 1/26 at 39+2. He was 8lbs 13oz and 20". It wasn't exactly the birth I was hoping for, but so worth it in the end. I ended up needing the epidural so much earlier than I had hoped for and needed several rounds of pitocin to keep things going. He got stuck on the way out, so they had to pull out the vacuum, which involved an episiotomy. Even with that, I still torn pretty badly and the epidural was nowhere near enough to block that pain. But he's here now and doing great. We are so in love.
Team green turned team blue! I was shocked- I went the whole pregnancy thinking it was a girl based on all the old wives tales!! Calvin James was born 1/26 (39 wks 3 days) weighing in at 7 pounds 2 oz, 20 3/4 inches long and a head full of dark hair. I had bloody show and consistent contractions starting at 6:30 pm 1/25. Finally decided to head to the hospital around midnight when contractions were about 3.5 mins apart. Active labor lasted about 11 hours. Completely unmedicated birth, with about 30 mins of pushing. So glad I did it drug free even though it was definitely more painful than I imagined! He is totally adorable and perfectly healthy! It's still sinking in that we're now a family of 3!
James Alexander was born Jan 24th (40+3), weighing 7lb 15oz, 20.5 inches long, and a nice head of dark hair.
My waters started leaking about 8am, contractions started shortly after and I went to the hospital about 11am. I laboured med free until 5cm when I got the wonderful epidural at 5:30pm, never even felt the needle go in. 2 hours later the Dr came to see how I was progressing, and announced I was ready to start pushing! I was pushing for 70 minutes and welcomed our perfect healthy little man into the world at 9pm on the dot. I had a 2nd degree episiotomy and total labour was just under 13 hours.
We adore our beautiful son, and are glad to be home together!
Wyatt Anthony was born January 19th at 10pm weighing in at 10 lbs 14 oz and 23.5 inches long. I went in for a scheduled induction at 40+5 weeks that morning at 4am, and luckily I was 3 cm dilated so they started me straight on pitocin. My dr. checked me when she came in for the day and let me go with light contractions until lunch. Then she broke my water and within five minutes I asked for the epidural. This time the epidural worked like a dream, with a just few adjustments here and there. Around 8 I started pushing which is when my dr. realized not only that baby's head was turned slightly out of position, but there was no way his head or shoulders would fit past my cervix. After one hour of pushing she called it and recommended a c-section. I remember the moment he was born and his strong cries filling the room, and then a lot of comments about his size. The anesthesiologist even stood up and went to take a look, and someone said "I can't wait to weigh this one." He was well known for his size for the rest of our stay. We are so in love with our big guy and he's brought lots of happiness to our little family.
Thorn Forrest was born 1/19/16 at 9lbs 1oz. The hair was totally unexpected. I'm so greatful for the chance to be his mom. I'll post my birth story later.
Thomas Gabriel arrived 1/27 at 39+6, weighing 8 lbs 14 oz and measuring 21 in. My waters broke at 11:30 on Tues night (right as we were climbing into bed!) and contractions started around 1 am. I labored at home until I couldn't take it anymore and at 5:30 am arrived at the hospital. Was 5 cm dilated and 80%, and they got an epidural in probably around 6 or 6:30 am.
Labor continued decently fast after that, and I pushed for about an hour. He arrived at 12:05 pm, facing the wrong way - explaining some of the intense back pain! Already feels like a long time ago... I'm so glad he's here!!
FTM, arrived at the hospital at 8am to be induced and surprisingly I was already at 4cm at 80% effaced. Pitocin started at 0930, water broke at 1115, and I started feeling contractions around 1430. My goal was to go without an epidural or pain meds and I did it!! Baby was born at 1809 weighing 7lbs 10 oz and measuring 20 1/4 inches. Baby is latching like a champ. He is just perfect and we are so in love!!
Erin Elizabeth was born 1/27/16 weighing 9 lbs. 4 oz. and 21 inches long at 40 + 5.
I woke up Tuesday at 2:30 am just needing the bathroom. I quickly realized I was feeling some contractions so I got in the tub to relax (FTM)! Sent my husband off to work at 5 even though contractions were 5 minutes apart lasting 45 seconds. He called on his break to check on me and we decided he should come home so we could go to the hospital, just to be prepared. Well, it wasn't necessary because this girl was stubborn! It took me nearly 12 hours to dilate from 3 cm at admission to 6 cm. I got an epidural before the broke my water. Breaking my bag didn't do much to help me along so they started pitocin. That's when I realized the epidural was not as effective and I hoped! They bumped up the meds and I was able to sleep for 3 hours. When I woke up at 4:30 am Wednesday I was almost 10 cm! I started pushing right before 5 am excited to welcome my baby. I pushed for 4 hours while the nurses kept saying "She's right there," I was ready to throw in the towel. That's when the doctor came in and said we'll try the vacuum but may need to switch to a c-section. Thankfully it worked, even though it was awful! After she was out, everyone understood why it took so long, she was huge!
As much as I wanted to avoid intervention, I just wanted her out! It was long and hard but she is simply amazing.
We couldn't decide on a middle name so we went with both of the ones we were deciding between. Owen James Christian arrived 1/28 (39.5) at 8:28pm after a short 12 hours of lightly induced labor. I was 4cm on Thursday morning and contracting every five minutes. All the doctor had to do was break my water and that was enough to get things really started. Got my epidural an hour later and almost 12 hours from start to finish, he was here! Pushed for 30 min and our 9lbs6oz, 22in gift from God arrived. He was definitely bigger than I expected but is so perfect!
Rorie Adele came into the world 1/27/16 at 7:42pm. I was induced with the Foley Ballon Tuesday night and Weds it only had me dilated to 1cm so they wanted to do a new one with pitocin. I was on the highest level of pitocin and in labor for 10hrs and only ever got to 2cm so a c section was done....recovery has been tough but so worth it❤️
Evelyn Katherine, born at 1:02am on 1/28 after a crazy whirlwind of a labor! 8 lbs 5 oz and she's absolutely everything ♡
I was admitted at 5pm 1/27 and was given my first half pill of cyotec at 7pm (was told I would get 1 every 4 hours to soften cervix and get labor to start). Around 830 started getting contractions, and they started increasing in intensity, they began cascading on top of one another, some lasting 2 mins with 30 secs between. The monitor wasnt accurately picking up on this, so I felt like a real wuss when the nurse came by and I asked how soon into these doses do people get the epidural now, and she looked so surprised. they came to do the next dose of cyotec at 11, they saw I was already 4cm and didn't need anymore, and granted me the epidural. From 1130-12:10 I went from 4 to 10 cm, they broke my water (had some meconium in it) and we pushed for a half hour- out came my love!
Team Green gone PINK!
Laramie Marie was born on 1/19
8lbs 2oz - induced due to gestional diabetes. 39w4d
I arrived at the hospital at 7:30 to start the induction process. We started potocian around 11:15 and I was 3 cm dilated. At 1pm my dr broke my water and I was 5cm. We found with my son breaking my water progressed everything along faster. Well this time it was REALLY fast! My contractions weren't overly intense, but I decided I would labor in the tub, then would get my epidermal. After about 20 mins in the tub, I had to get out because my contractions were too intense. I got out and the nurse called for my dr. I was already 10cm and ready to push! After a brief freak out and my nurse and my husband getting in my face, assuring me I could do it without any drugs, 3 pushes and 2 grunts Laramie arrived! No taring and I was up moving around an hr after I delivered. But Laramie, like my DS had trouble breathing, most likely she could not get the fluid out of her lungs because she came so fast, and had to go to the NICU. We spent 8 days there and are finally home as a family of 4! And we are so in love!
Edit: sorry no picture because I must be technology challenged tonight!
Tyler Nathan born 5/1/2016 07.28. 8lb 13oz Was having really bad back pain from 3/1/2016 it got gradually worse rang the hospital they told me to get in the bath and have paracetamol. After the bath climbed in bed 5.30am waters broke got to the hospital around 6am and found out that he was breach ended up with an emergency c section. He was so worth it
Freya Skye was born on 1/22 at 10:21AM, weighing 6 lbs 13ounces. Due date was 1/18. I had contractions all day and night the previous day, sometimes inconsistent and not too painful. At 8PM they really started to hurt so I called my OB, told to stay home. At 10PM I got my bloody show and decided to go to the hospital at 12AM because my contractions were really painful and 2 min apart. My water broke right after I arrived and I got an amazing epidural at 2AM. Pushed for almost 3 hours. Had to stay in the NICU for a week because of breathing issues and an infection. We are finally home and so in love!
Announcing the arrival of Jakob Atlas B. born January 30, 2016 at 1.51pm in Jacksonville, Florida, USA weighing 8lbs3oz!
Finally! His original due date was 1/20. I thought he would never come! I had an induction scheduled for Monday morning but obviously don't need it anymore as I was surprised to naturally go into labor on Friday! Never thought that would happen! And I am so relieved it did. Laboring naturally was much more appealing to me.
I had severe contractions starting around 4am Friday. I didn't think much of it because I have had quite a bit of fake outs but these were just getting excruciating. Felt like period pains x's 5000. For the people that wonder if the 5 minutes apart rule is always the indicator to go to hospital, I am here to tell you it isn't. Mine were coming 8 minutes apart some hours and then 10 min other hours.. And then sometimes would shoot up to 13 mins. Up and down. The contractions were just so strong (could barely walk or talk) I knew something had to be up. Got my stubborn self to L&d and I had gone from 2cm at my appt a couple days before to 5cm and I progressed rather quickly from there. Labored at hospital all night. Once I got to 7-8cm, my contractions were unbearable I got the epidural which was one of the strangest feelings I've ever had... My legs being so numb and all. But no more pain! They broke my waters Saturday morning around 7am. Was stuck at 8cm for hours until they decided to give me ONE drop of pitocin. Yes, ONE. That stuff much be strong to only need one drop in my IV lol. A hour or two later I woke up with pressure and was dilated to 10 and ready to push! Took about an hour and a half! FTM here! I have had such great drs and nurses and even though I've been through crazy pain, I can say this experience has been great because of them... And of course I got my cute little human! We get to go home tomorrow! Good luck everyone!!
I had been having contractions on and off all day but they weren't really that painful and they were irregular. We went to OH's mum and dads and at around 5 they were getting more regular. We left there at about 9:30 and when we got home I started timing the contractions. They were coming about 5-10mins apart but weren't that painful however I had also had quite a big bloody show so decided to phone hospital. They told me to treat it as a normal night and just get some sleep but call back if they get worse or waters break.
I made the bed and got in to watch some tv at about 11ish but by this time I was doubled over in pain from the contractions and was loosing more blood in clumps. I called the hospital back and said they were really painful and they said to come in to get checked. I did and I was 2cm dilated. They gave me codeine and paracetamol and told me to go home and have a bath. This was at 1am so I got home and got in the bath and stayed in there for roughly an hour until my waters broke.
Phoned the hospital back again to tell them and they said to come in. When I got there I was examined again and told I was only 3cm dilated and told I could either go home again or stay and try and get some sleep. I couldn't face the journey home and back to the hospital so I said I would stay. They told me they would be back in to check on me shortly.
During this time the contractions started to get really painful and close together and I barely had a break. I asked for pain relief and they told me they would be back with some. Another half an hour went by and I was getting an uncontrollable urge to push during the contractions. I was worried about pushing as I knew I was only 3-4cm and could only envisage ripping myself open. Told the midwife about the urge and she said it was most likely because the baby was facing upwards and it is giving me a false feeling of needing to push. Asked again about pain relief and she said she would go and get me pethadin.
She then went and the urge to push changed from not just an urge but my body pushing whether I wanted to or not. OH went to get the midwife and I said I couldn't help but push and she told me to try and not push and focus on breathing etc instead.
They then came with my pethadin and injected me with it and I just kept asking over and over when it was going to kick in.
Kept on at them about the need to push and the midwife agreed to examine me and to her surprise (not mine!!) I was fully dilated! They wheeled me on the bed into the delivery suite and 15 minutes later Scarlett Marie White entered the world at 5:15am weighing 6lb 8oz!
I am a first time mum and I am the last to give out advice on things which I am definitely not an expert on but listen to your bodies! I knew I was needing to push even though multiple midwives told me it was practically impossible for a first time mum to go from 3cm to fully dilated in an hour!
Luckily everything else has gone really well and I am thankful that it was a quick labour despite the fact my only pain relief kicked in after she was born!
Talia Louise EDD 1/30 born 6:23pm 2/1after being induced.
Went in at 6:30am to have Cervidil placed. Around noon Cervidil was removed and pitocin started. Baby girl was sunny side up and after 3.5 hours of awful back labor and being stalled at a 5, I took an epidural to relax and try to get her to turn. By 6:00pm I was at 10cm. Pushed for about 15-20 minutes and out came our precious baby girl!!
Rhiannon Ruth, born 1/26/16 at 5:20pm GMT, weight 7 lbs 9 oz. The night before my scheduled induction, I began having contractions. At 2:30 am I was in early labour. Checked in at noon, than membrane sweep at 1:15. Labour progressed fast and furious after that. Went from 2 cm to fully dilated in 2.5 hours. No epidural, just used gas (a lot of gas, lol) I ended up with a superficial 1st degree tear and 4 stitches, all worth it when I look at our little girls face. Congrats to all our January mamas!
Charlotte Grace was born Feb 1st at 5:23pm EDD was January 24th. I was induced at 930am on the 31st with cervidill. Went back in for an NST at 10 that night and was having contractions 5 mins apart but not intense so they left the cervidill in and sent me home. At 130am I woke to intense contractions 3 1/2 mins apart. We went to the hospital and they were going to send me home again since I was only 2cm but I insisted I wanted to be admitted and labour there. By 6am I was at 5cm and decided to ask for an epidural which I got around 12pm. Everything was great til I got to 9cm, baby was sunny side up and her head pressing on my spine was so intense it made me feel like I needed to push. Luckily we went from 9-10 pretty quickly and after 18 minutes of pushing she was here! She's breastfeeding like a champ and loving skin to skin with mommy
Emma Grace born on Friday January 29 at 8:57pm. (EDD Jan 18) 9lbs 10oz and 23 inches. Started induction with cervadil on Thursday, went home that night then started the drip in the morning. Broke my water at noon. Started pushing at 6:00. By 8 we decided it wasn't working and ended with a c section due to size and sunny side up. So in love!
Went in for induction tuesday night by having my water broke. Contractions started immediately and were consistent so no pit was needed. Baby was face up so took awhile for her to come down. Got in labor tub about 830 am, pushed for 6 mins and out she came, looking sstraight up at us! Team green turned team pink! I has the non-medicated, water birth I wanted but wow....hardest thing I've ever done! But, I'm so glad I did it. No tears and recovery has been amazing.
Aria Rose made her dramatic entrance via emergency c-section on February 1st at 16:32.
8 lbs 4 oz, 21 inches long!
Nothing went as planned and honestly it was a nightmarish experience... but my miracle baby not only survived, she is thriving, and I will be eternally grateful to the amazing doctors and nurses who saved my baby's life and made sure I got to stick around to be a part of it.
Congratulations to all the new mommies! It's been a long journey getting here but the best adventure is just getting started. ♡
Amelia Michelle has finally made her arrival! Born February 2 at 6:34 am, 7 lb 6 oz and 19 3/4 inches. Due date was Jan 25, we went in February 1 to be induced. I was 1 1/2 cm when we got there. At 2:30 they put in misoprostal, and at 4:30 my water broke on its own. I labored for 6 hours with pretty frequent and intense contractions before they decided to start pitocin, and I got the epidural. I was 3 cm at that point, and progressed to 7 by midnight. Baby's heart rate was dropping, so I was put on oxygen. By 5:30 we were ready to push, and I pushed for one hour before this bundle of joy came out! The midwife kept saying that I was a rockstar pusher, and I found out why at our first doctors appointment...this kiddo's head is in the 94th percentile! Just trying to adjust to life at home and dealing with some baby blues, but I am so so soooo in love!!
SO happy to announce that the (fashionably late) Rose Quinlan has finally made her arrival at 41+1! Originally due January 31st, miss Rose was finally born at 10:06 Monday, February 8th, 2016, after a long, 0% fun induction process. She weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 20 inches long. I cannot believe how much I love her already. As a FTM this experience has been so overwhelming.
For the birth details...yikes. It ended up fine, but it was a very long and kind of scary process (29 hour labor, start to finish), which included my blood pressure crashing to 85/50, me vomiting and then choking on it to the point that both LO and I were in distress, then me coughing up blood for hours (thanks to the throat irritation from the puking/choking) and the worst part of all - laboring with painful contractions/no sleep for about 25 of those 29 hours and only going from a fingertip dilated to 1 cm!
At that point, 25 hours in, with LO and I both being in distress at various points, and me being totally exhausted and still only ONE CM, my OB and my nurse warned me that this was looking like a c section. I totally understood but they decided to let me try to sleep for a couple more hours and see what happened, even though they had to turn down the pitocin significantly because LO was starting to dislike it. By some miracle, my body finally kicked into gear and I went from 1 cm to 10 between hours 25 and 28.5 of delivery and I found out I was going to be able to deliver vaginally. I was so tired and beyond ready to be done, pushed this 8 pound baby out in 30 min, including a 10 minute wait for my OB to come back to the hospital! (I was proud of myself at the time, my tears and stitches are not as proud of me today, haha.)
Anyway, I found pregnancy to be just awful, and labor and recovery from labor are no picnic either, but I would do every single terrible part all over again for this sweet girl. She is just the most wonderful thing in the world. I can't stop cuddling her! Thanks so much to all the January ladies (especially my fellow late Jan ladies!) This board has been SO helpful and reassuring to a FTM. Congrats, everyone, and again, thank you!
Arizona was born Feb 2nd. She was expected to be born in January, which is why I started being apart of your group. She was 7lbs, 12oz, and 19.4 inches long. She had no blood sugar issues at all so she didn't go to the NICU or even the step down unit. She was born by emergency C-section. We went to the hospital at 6am and were admitted by 6:20am. They did an ultrasound and she was head down, so we started with an induction. My OB wanted a foley bulb induction with pitocin, so we did that. After the foley bulb was out my water was broken and I got an epidural. They kept turning up the Pitocin and I went from a 5 to a 7 in less than an hour, however any time they checked me and any time I had a strong contraction I had severe pain. I told the resident OB we need to start thinking about doing a c-section. My SO thought I was going to take the railing off I was gripping it so hard during contractions. Anesthesia at first didn't believe my pain level because I told them 9/10 since I wasn't grimacing, but my blood pressure was extremely high along with my pulse indicating I was in pain . So my OB decided on internal monitoring for a short period of time, however Arizona had decelerations with every contraction and I had gone from 7 to a 6, so my OB came over from the office (my OB's office is across the street from the hospital and he was watching me on the monitors) and said we were doing an emergency C-section. I was put under general. My SO was told he would be brought back after they got me and everything set up, but my OB wanted me put under so it's faster, so instead they brought SO our daughter. Later they wheeled me in for recovery and I woke up to my Endocrinologist making rounds.
Poppy was born on 2/10 at 6:26 PM. She was a gestational age of 41 weeks and 5 days and weighed 9.5lbs and is 21.5 inches long.
I was sent to the hospital early 2/9 for an induction straight from my appointment for reduced fetal movement, low fluid, and not enough variability in her heart rate. I was 80% effaced, -2 station, and a fingertip dilated. It took a while to be admitted because the hospital was full but eventually I was and was given a dose of cervadil for 12 hours at 1PM. I started getting some more contractions but they felt similar to the prodromal labor I had already been experiencing for weeks. Contractions got very intense around 9PM and I moaned my way through it. I hadn't slept much the night before so I wasn't in a good place to be up all night with intense and painful contractions. At this point they were 2-3 minutes apart and lasting for 60-90 seconds. Finally at 1AM they removed the cervadil and I was 2.5 cm dilated with no other changes. I continued to labor painfully and was offered morphine to allow me to sleep which I accepted. It didn't help at all and I realized I was going to be up all night, so I caved and asked for an epidural. I got that around 4:30 and immediately felt much much better. This slowed my contractions down to 5 minutes apart. So, at 6AM they woke me up to start pitocin, which they gradually ramped up throughout the day. I was feeling my contractions but they were bearable now. The worst part was that the epi kept wearing off on one side because I could only lay in very specific ways or baby's heart rate dipped. At one point her heart rate halved to 55-65 and I was about 2 minutes away from a c-section. However we got her stabilized eventually with position changes (though still not enough variability in her heart rate) and I kept at it. My vitals also dropped here and there throughout but they were able to stabilize me with oxygen. My waters broke at some point during the day on their own. Around 5PM the doctor came to check me and I was 10cm! She removed the rest of the bag which was slipping out and I was at a +1 station. A little while later the nurse got me ready for a trial push which went perfectly so she has me keep them up with my contractions. If I pushed too many times babies HR would drop dangerously so I had to be careful and kept getting oxygen throughout. I pushed for 30 minutes and was making good progress and finally felt the urge to push. Another 30 minutes and she came out! I did it! It was awesome. I lost two liters of blood right after birth and had three internal tears as well as a hematoma on my perineum. It's a bit rough of a recovery but I'm so proud of my body and my daughter for getting through it!
New mommy life has been so busy that I forgot to post my birth announcement! Isabella Ann was born January 18 at 8:03pm. She was 9lbs 5oz and 21 3/4in long. She was induced, as she was over a week late. She had a severe cone head due to pushing for too long before the dr decided I needed an episiotomy, and she had trouble sleeping the first 2 nights as her head was swollen. She is back to normal now (thank goodness!)
Rory Ailís was born on 2/7 at 9:37pm. I started getting contractions at 1:30pm, waited a bit to see if they'd stick around and intensify, and went to the hospital at 3pm. I got in, got to l and d, got my epidural since I was at 4cm, and all was great. Then I got to 10cm and it was time to push. LO was sunny side up and my epidural was not working at all on my pelvic floor. The pain was excruciating and I had to push for almost 3 hours because of her position. It wasn't until afterwards that my OB told me more than half of people with babies in as tough as position as LO end up needing c sections and I believe it! I was so exhausted from pushing so hard for so long and having such pain that I was literally dozing off in between pushes. It was the most surreal experience. But LO was tough and stayed stable the whole time and kept moving, just very slowly. Now she's here and we are in love with her!
I used to be super active in this group at the beginning of my pregnancy and then I had to delete the app I finally made it thru all pages of these announcements and have read the stories and seen the pictures of the gorgeous babies! I am so happy for everyone! Congratulations mamas!!! My handsome boy Easton Glen made his grand entrance on January 18th at 10:23pm after 12 hours in labor and an unplanned C-section. My water broke the day before our planned induction at 10:30 in the morning. After laboring all day I wasn't dilating past a 5 and the anesthesiologist screwed up my epidural four times, leaving me in such terrible pain that I was screaming and bawling and finally begged for the C-section. Due to the botched epidural they decided to put me under and I was so out of it that I didn't end up holding my son until the next morning. I do find comfort in the fact that my son went straight to skin-to-skin contact with his daddy after he was born. Here he is, Easton Glen, born 1/18/16 at 10:23 pm EDD: 1/21/16 7lbs 7oz, 19.75 inches long Here is my handsome boy now
Re: J16 Birth Announcements
Born 1/24
EDD 1/30
7lbs 13oz 21inches
Here is the beautiful baby girl!

Rorie Adele came into the world 1/27/16 at 7:42pm. I was induced with the Foley Ballon Tuesday night and Weds it only had me dilated to 1cm so they wanted to do a new one with pitocin. I was on the highest level of pitocin and in labor for 10hrs and only ever got to 2cm so a c section was done....recovery has been tough but so worth it❤️
I was admitted at 5pm 1/27 and was given my first half pill of cyotec at 7pm (was told I would get 1 every 4 hours to soften cervix and get labor to start).
Pushed for about 15-20 minutes and out came our precious baby girl!!
will update later with birth story. We go home tomorrow
Mr. Gabriel Rhys born 1/28 @ 2:05pm, on time 11 hours labor total, 45 minutes active pushing, 19 inches 5 lbs 14 oz, our little peanut.
