Our nameless baby boy was born 1-6-16 at 7:05pm weighing 7lbs 5oz! Around 4:30 I called hubby because my contractions (that I've been having for weeks) were starting to get closer together and were quite a bit stronger. At 5:30pm we arrived at the hospital had him without medication(not by choice) at 7:05pm! A very quick birth but recovery is already going very well.
Crosby Moon born 1-5-16 at 8:41am, one day before my due date. I was induced 4 days earlier because of his small size and after a long, traumatic labor he popped right out. Loving being a MAMA!
Violet Brynn was born on 1/4/16 at 38 + 4. She weighed 6lbs 10oz and was 19 inches long, with a full head of wavy golden hair. She is perfectly healthy!
I had my OB appt that morning, had a cervical check and was told I was 1-2 cm and not at all effaced. After the doctor left the room I stood up from the table to get dressed and my water broke. My husband ran out to bring the doc back who confirmed it was my water and that there was meconium in it and sent us to the hospital.
Things moved really quickly and the labor was intense. In a few hours I was 90% effaced and 5cm dialated, and decided to get the epideral. So glad I did! 2 hours later I was complete. I pushed for 5 contractions and she was born in 19 minutes.
She is the most perfect beautiful thing I've ever seen. Night 2 was the hardest of my life, but she is so worth it. We are just crazy about her.
Eleanor Elizabeth was born at 4:46 pm on Christmas Eve . She weighed 7lb 10oz and was 20.5 inches long. She is a redhead just like her dad and is perfectly healthy -- we are so lucky!
She was born via c section at 38 + 3 weeks gestation. The entire process has been a lot easier than I expected.
Baby girl Hannah born 10:22pm on 1/6 - 2 days early. My water broke at 830am, headed into L&D around 4pm after my contractions were at 5-1-1 and was 6cm. Labored the whole way unmedicated but ended up with an emergency c section due to baby's heart rate dropping while pushing. Mama and baby doing well in recovery and looking forward to going home on Saturday.

Lacey Ly'Nae joined our family this morning, Jan 7, 2016, at 9:39 a.m. weighing in at 6 pounds 7 ounces and measuring 20 inches long via repeat c-section. She is pretty awesome.
Harper Quinn was born 1/7/16 at 9:30 am, 39+1. She was 7lbs 4oz, 19in long. I was having contractions for days and decided at 2am on the 7th they were the real thing as they increased in frequency and intensity quickly. Went to the hospital around 9:30 am at 3cm dilated and got an epidural right away. I was blessed with an easy labor.
Elizabeth Natalie joined us on 1/6/16 at 3:33 pm. I was induced Tuesday evening. Once my water broke, we had some intense contractions and went from 1-10 cm dilated within an hour! 2 hours of pushing and we were able to meet our beautiful baby girl! She has a ton of beautiful dark hair! I am so in love!
Sloane Elizabeth EDD 12/28 (sneaking over from D15) Born: 1/7/16
After a stalled labor on 1/6 and mere hours before I was scheduled for induction, I went into intense labor in the middle of the night. Got to the hospital at 4cm and was at 8cm within an hour. Thank god for epidural- I could NOT stay ahead of the pain. Even though it didn't fully take, the edge it took off the contractions was an actual life saver, I thought I would lose my mind. 17 hours total labor, 1 hour of uncomplicated pushing (few small tears) and we welcomed our beautiful daughter! Every moment since then has been like a dream - in all the best and worst ways possible! We're thrilled to bring her home tomorrow and start our new chapter.
Ella Sloane, born 1/8/16 at 12:56pm. She weighed 7lbs 11oz and is 20 3/4" long. I had cramping and bloody show all day long on 1/7, went to bed that night and woke up to contractions and my water breaking at 1:50am. I headed to the hospital and was still at 1cm. Even though I had a long way to go with contractions, I was already over the pain and got my epidural shortly after arriving. Along with the epidural, i started on pitocin to bring my contractions closer together and get dilation going. As my contractions increased, I had drops in blood pressure while baby had issues with dropping heart rate. Due to baby's heart rate, I kept going on and off pitocin until the afternoon, when I began pushing. My epidural began fading on my left side halfway through pushing, which lasted about 1.5 hours. At that point it was decided that baby's position and my pelvis size required vacuum assistance to deliver. I got an episiotomy but still ended up with a third degree tear (which is very sore right now). Turns out, I was VERY close to needing a c section! I'm so thankful I didn't need one, and I'm beyond glad I got an epidural. Major props to all you mamas who go without pain medicine!! Overall, baby and I are doing great and I'm so thankful I could spend my pregnancy as a part of this community
Baby Luca is here and we are so in love!!!! EDD: 1/14/16 Birthdate: 1/7/16 (exactly 39 weeks) 7lbs 9oz and 20 inches long
FTM here and woke up at 2:00am on 1/7/16 to go to the bathroom, noticed the first ever loss of mucus plug and a tiny bit of blood (second bathroom trip about 10 min later). Once back in bed I noticed contractions started immediately. I've only ever had Braxton hicks so I was pretty positive I was having contractions... Not super painful in the beginning. Labored around the house until I decided to wake my husband up at 5:30am to help me time them. Decided I thought I had reached the 5-1-1 or getting close so called my doctor who told me I was in early labor and to head on over to L&D. Had enough time to take a quick shower, finish packing bag, make the bed (husband was like YOUR NESTING WHEN YOUR IN LABOR?!?!, Ha!!) and drop off our doggies at camp. Got to the hostpital at 7:30 and was admitted shortly after.
Labor was so not what I thought it was going to be like- it was way better and I am SO THANKFUL! Epidurals are AMAZING!!!! My OB was the one to deliver and she was so great- talked me through each step as it was happening! Total labor was 14.5 hours long and only pushed for 1.5 hours. I have a second degree tear and 2 hemroids but some good medicine and now about 36 hours after birth am feeling pretty great! I'm able to walk around no problem. Husband, baby and I are all adjusting well! We love our little Luca!!
Ronan Ash born this morning 1-9-16 at 1:28 am. 7lbs 2 oz. 19 inches. I woke up Friday feel like it was the day, but decided to go to work and see what happened. By 330 I was sure early labor was in motion so I turned in my keys and told my kinders good bye. Around 6 pm I had timeable contractions. By 11 I decided nothing was happening any time soon got into the tub and things began to progress. When I got out at midnight I'm pretty sure I was already in transition called the midwife and headed to the birth center. I was still able to speak during contractions so I figured I'd get to labor a little longer. The 5 minute drive to the birth center got intense and I started feeling the urge to push. My husband almost pulled over so I could puke I told him to keep f-ing driving. Got to the birth center and baby was out 3 minutes later. Cord was wrapped around 2 times. Pinker up very quickly. So much better than my labor with DD where I had "butt labor" and labored for 2 days. I can't believe I did this drug free. I kept telling myself every contraction was moving baby closer to me and the pain had a purpose. That went out the window when I started pushing. It was amazing to have him out and in my arms so fast. I had no clue of his sex until he came and got to tell my husband we had a boy. Loving being home and getting to know my son.
Baby Laila was born on 01/07/2016 (EDD 12/29) after a really long and super traumatic delivery with details that I'm not quite ready to hash out. She is doing awesome though and had no problems. 7 lbs 6 oz. 20 inches long with an incredible head of hair.
Lyra Jaye born 12:15 am 1/10 at 6 lb 6 oz and 40 weeks, 6 days. Water broke about 24 hours earlier and contractions were mild until I had my fore bag broken (I didn't even know that was a thing). Intervention/drug free birth unless you count the crotchet hook. DH was the only one who knew when I was in transition. Nurse checked me, said I was at 6 cm and about 5 minutes later I was making all kinds of scary noises, terrified because if this wasn't transition or about time to push then something awful was happening. I had to push about 3 minutes later, even though I thought I was pushing against a 6 cm cervix and about 2 minutes later Lyra was out. I couldn't slow down my pushing but luckily didn't tear at all.
She nurses like a champ and spent her first hour on me, which was so neat. Our twins went to the nicu, I couldn't see them for hours, and it took s month to establish breastfeeding so this is really really nice. I'm about to nurse her again and then try to get some sleep before daddy bring the big sisters by.
If anyone still pregnant wants to talk about intervention free birth feel free to pm me. I did scream for drugs but not until less than 3 minutes before she was out. And that was the least ugly sound that was coming out of me.
The picture isn't great but it's the only one on my phone.
Oscar Richard Lee Sharpe, born 09/01/2016 (on his due date!) at 2:30pm in Devon, England. He weighs 7lb 13oz at birth. After a 72 hour labour that stalled halfway due to posterior baby, he turned and I progressed to 5cm dilation. I managed the whole thing on entonox and used the birthing pool, though I had to get out to finish getting him out as I was exhausted from 2 hours of pushing. I also needed to be cut and have a few stitches. My pre labour symptoms were period like cramping for several days before and intense Braxton Hicks that then became progressively more painful. I had a show 3 days before and another 1 day before, both very slight and barely noticeable. My waters had to be broken during labour which really helped speed things up. Oscar is feeding well and is very healthy. We will be discharged from hospital this afternoon all being well. Good luck to all my fellow bumpies, and I would really really recommend the birthing pool if you can use one.
Ella Brooke was born at 8:12 AM on Jan 8th via planned c-section. She's 8 lbs, 5 oz, and every bit of perfection we imagined she'd be.
She had some breathing trouble initially and spent the first day/night in the NICU... I finally got to hold her and begin breast feeding yesterday afternoon. She's doing and eating well... We are so in love!
Audriana Ashlyn was born exactly at 40 weeks. 7lbs, 6 oz, 20 inches.
Pain Trigger--- I had zero BH during pregnancy and was not dilated at all at my last appointment. At 9pm on the night before EDD I started having timeable cramps - that were 4 minutes apart when they started. After an hour I called my OB, when I was on the phone with her my water broke (had not lost my mucus plug before this). Got to the hospital at 11pm (1 cm dilated) was in a lot of pain so despite having hoped for natural birth had pain meds while they confirmed I was actually in labor and then got at an epidural at 4am. By 10am was fully dilated and time to push. Had to take a pushing break around noon because epidural was only working on my right side. I couldn't push because the pain was unbearable. Got a second epidural - only this one was really strong and it was hard to feel anything. Pushed for another 2 1/2 hours until 2:30pm, trying all different positions and this tug of war thing. Then my doctor said I was getting too tired and she thought if we used the vacuum she would come out, but if that didn't work in 10 minutes, I would be getting a c section. I had a mental breakdown and put everything I could into pushing with the vaccum and at 2:40pm she arrived.
I'm so thankful for her and for my husband who was incredible and for my OB and all the terrific nurses. I've really enjoyed being part of this community and wish everyone so much love and support and healthy and happy babies.
Scheduled RCS went very well. My OB and the staff were wonderful through the entire process. I got to do skin to skin right away, which was wonderful since I missed out on that with the birth of my sons. I had a few blood pressure scares post op where it dipped really low, but evened out over the 24 hours after surgery. Recovery was a bit difficult, mostly because of the gas build up that led to intense shoulder pain. It dissipated after I was able to get up and get moving. They discharged us after just 2 nights. My daughter is a dream come true. She is pure perfection in every way. I cry just looking at her and feeling so in love. She is great at breastfeeding and is so expressive. I could go on and on about her for hours. Our family is complete. My heart is full and bursting. I am so grateful for my DH. He has been doing everything around the house and told me to just take time to recover and enjoy our sweet girl. I don't use the term often, but I am truly blessed.
Cedar John was born January 8th at 12:43 PM, weighing 6 lbs 8oz. Expected due date was Jan 19.
I went in for my 38 week appointment and due to gestational hypertension and a small growth scan was induced that night, as they were worried about pre eclampsia. A foley bulb was inserted at 9:00 PM, started pitocin at 3 AM, had my water broken at 11 AM, after which our chunky little Nugget arrived at 12:43. This was done completely without pain meds. I asked for them, but from the time I asked for IV meds at 7cm to the time they got them in the room, I was already 10cm and ready to push. We are so excited and in love with this little chunk. I think we will keep him ETA: EDD
Hi ladies! Little Tom has joigned us on 1/5/16, one day before his (new) due date. He arrived at 03:00 am with 7lb 5oz and 19.7" and is alredy his big sister's favourite! ;-) We had like for DD a homebirth with our midwife who happens to be a friend and neighboor and the best midwife I can ever imagine!!!! And believe me, this time we really needed her skills, her experience and... all her patience!! It started with mild but quite regular xontractions on the 4th around 6:00 pm. At 9 pm we had the 5-1-1 situation, around 11/12 pm dilated at 8cm and breathing was still ok. We were hopeful that it wouldn't last long... but our little guy hasn't got a good spacisl awareness and wss struggeling to find the way out... he started ti change to move his head and couldn't engage in the birthcanal...at the end the midwife had to help his head in the right position inside (ouch!!!!) and then it could come lower...a few more angry pushes from me and Tom was with us!!!! WISH ALL OF YOU A GREAT TIME WITH BABY!!!!!!
I was induced at 38 weeks due to chronic hypertension. After being in labor for 31 hours and pushing for 4, our baby boy finally decided to make his appearance in this world weighing 9 lbs on the dot and 21 1/4 inches long.
Isabella Kristy was born 1/10/16 at 10:20 am. Weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz and 21.5 inches long. I started having contractions at 9 pm last night. Hubby ttold me to sleep. They woke me up at 3:15 am when they were five minutes apart. Got to the hospital at 5 am. Epi by 6:15. Water broke on its own at 7:55. Pushed for 15 minutes and is breastfeeding amazingly well.
Ellery Mae was born Dec. 22 at 34 weeks, 6 days. My water broke in the middle of the night, and ended up with a c-section due to the fact that she had wrapped herself up with her cord. Her cord came over her shoulder, around her waist and around her leg. She was 4 lbs 7 ozs and 17 3/4 inches long. She is doing really well, and will hopefully be home this coming weekend!
My little Zachary made his appearance 1/10/16, exactly on his due date! 8lbs 3oz and 21" long, he was the same measurements as me when I was born
I started having contractions 15 min apart on Friday afternoon, which continued well into Saturday. Saturday afternoon we went for an NST, because I felt a significant decrease in movement - this little guy was a mover and shaker on the inside! Everything turned out fine so we went home. About 2 hours later I lost my plug and contractions started coming every 10 minutes, and by 930 that night they were 5 minutes apart. We got to L&D around 1130 and quickly went from 2-5 cm dilated.
I was strep B positive, and had to have the required antibiotics, so while the IV was hooked up I opted for a mild pain reliever to take the edge off. It actually zonked me out for a couple hours, and ended up stalling further dilation so around 9:00am the doc broke my water to try and progress things further.
By 1030 I was dilated to 8 and doc realized babe was anterior facing. I had to all but hop up and down on one foot to get him to turn over, but as soon as he did I went right to 10 cm and it was time! I pushed for about an hour and ½ and finally delivered the most perfect little man I've ever laid eyes on.
I forewent the epidural, mostly because it scared me, and I was so near delirious that I'm trusting all this timing information coming from DH. It was such an incredible and humbling experience. I certainly wouldn't have been able to do it without him, and now I have two amazing men, big and little, to love.
Oliver Michael was born on January 9, 2016 at 5:31 a.m.. He weighed 7 lbs, 6 oz and is 20 inches long. He is absolutely perfect!
I was induced at 8 a.m. on January 8th and was 1 cm to start. After a few failed Cytotec attempts, I was induced using a Foley catheter and started on Pitocin. I went from 1 to 3 in a few hours. It took another few hours to get from 3 to 5. The baby's heart rate was dipping so they had to stop and start the Pitocin throughout the day. My water broke on its own at 5 cm and then everything moved quickly to 7 cm. The contractions were no longer tolerable at all! I opted for an epidural at 7 cm. Everything then stalled for a long while! He wasn't tolerating the Pitocin anymore and they started prepping me for a c-section but he was able to regulate himself and so they decided to wait. He apparently didn't like the idea of a c-section anymore than his mom did, so he hurried out after that. It was a total of 21 hours of labor with 2 hours of active pushing. I ended up tearing pretty bad but it hasn't been too uncomfortable. Overall, labor wasn't really as bad as I was expecting!
Brynlee Harper EDD 1/09/16 Born 1/11/16 @ 7:25 am (scheduled induction) 7 lbs 2 oz, 20 in long (much smaller than expected!)
Induced Sunday morning with Cervidil, started at only 1 cm and 0% effaced. I had 3 doses of Stadol for pain, then I got my epidural around 11 pm. Slept through the night, which was glorious. Started Pitocin at 5:30 am. I was fully dilated and effaced and my water still hadn't broken! Doc broke it and I gave one, half-hearted push and she was here! Minor 2nd degree tearing, but otherwise we are both feeling good! She nurses like a champ (and poops like one too!) We are absolutely in love! She looks like an exact mini of her big brother!
Atley Grace was born 1/3/16 @ 2:20pm - at 39 weeks. After 35 hours of labor & 40 minutes of pushing, we met our beautiful girl. We're so in love & enjoying every second!
Wren Marie was born on 1/7/16, one week before her due date. 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 in. long. I had minor contractions all day Wednesday, and went in for my scheduled appointment. Cervical check showed that I was only 2 cm, but my doctor recommended that I stop working, and call in my sub (I'm a teacher) as I was showing signs of early labor. She assured me that I would most likely have the baby before the end of the week. That night, I woke up at 11 pm to regular, intense contractions. DH and I quickly realized it was time to go to L&D. I hopped in the shower, and immediately afterwards, my water broke. We were at the hospital by 12:30, and by 2:30, I was at a 6 and ready for my epidural. Things moved quickly, and I was ready to push by 5:00 am. One hour later, at 5:54 am, baby Wren arrived. I tore pretty badly, but the recovery has been a piece of cake, and this little baby currently nursing in my lap, is worth every ache and pain.
We are both doing great. Thank be to God. Mamas still waiting don't worry about anything, my water broke from nowhere, I was only 1cm when I reached the hospital at 2am, by 6am I was at 8cm by 9am I was holding him. Hang in there it gonna come soon.
Charlie martin was born 1/11/16 at 41+1 weeks. He was 9 pounds 9ounces and 23 inches. Doctor said he is the longest she has ever seen! Big boy was not able to come out naturally after 24 hours of induced labor we decided a c section was needed. The experience was not what I had pictured but I am so glad he is happy and healthy

Born 1/6

I think we will keep him

Hi ladies! Little Tom has joigned us on 1/5/16, one day before his (new) due date. He arrived at 03:00 am with 7lb 5oz and 19.7" and is alredy his big sister's favourite! ;-)
We had like for DD a homebirth with our midwife who happens to be a friend and neighboor and the best midwife I can ever imagine!!!!

Easton Jack
EDD 1/09/16
Born 1/11/16 @ 7:25 am (scheduled induction)
7 lbs 2 oz, 20 in long (much smaller than expected!)
She nurses like a champ (and poops like one too!)
We are absolutely in love! She looks like an exact mini of her big brother!
