How are you feeling? My stomach is so unhappy. I'm hungry but eating sounds awful. I had to force myself to eat so I would have something in my stomach.

Raves/Rants/Randoms: rant: I've been taking a baking class and yesterday was our final exam/presentation. We created a spread of mini pastries for about 50 people. There was a ton of stuff left over so we got to take stuff home (yay!!). DH and I had plans to have dinner with my parents tonight and I was planning on bringing some leftover pastries to their house. When DH shows up with the box (I went there straight from work), more than half of the things are gone. He didn't even stop to think "maybe if 4 people need to eat things and there are only 8 fruit tarts, I should only eat 2 and not 7!!" He only really left enough of 2 out of 6 pastries for my parents to try or for me to eat the things I worked so hard to make. And he isn't even apologizing or realizing that what he did was selfish. He just keeps saying "so..i'm a horrible person". I'm so frustrated because be does this all the time.
Questions? Not right now. I just want fruit tarts
GTKY: we got married at my friend's parents' house in east San Diego on a meadow surrounded by mountains. Our colors were red and white and our theme was picnic. It was everything I dreamed of. Here's my photographer's teaser album from our wedding.

Doing anything baby related today? Went to the doctor I thought I had a UTI...turns out I didn't
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I understand they make you wait until around 8 weeks for your first appointment but it's so nerve racking waiting until then to find out if everything is okay. I got my skyla out about 6 and half weeks ago because after two years my body started to reject it. The reason I had it in the first place was because of major menstrual cycle issues so I wasn't even positive how fertile I would be. And literally th it pregnant a week after it was removed so I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy.
Questions? Sex has been irritating my lower region the past few days. I thought it was a utility so I went to my doctor and I do not have any infections. Do other newly pregnant ladies experience this as well?
GTKY: after finding out about us being parents this coming September we will be waiting until early spring to have our ceremony

Raves/Rants/Randoms: please think some good thoughts for me. I am in a bit of a tough situation. I live in Managua, Nicaragua - and work for the Peace Corps in the Training Department. As I am sure most of you are in the US have seen all of the Zika scares. I was actually in Panama with my parents when I found out about it last sunday and Nicaragua wasn't on the list of countries (although I knew it would be soon - mosquitos don't know about visas or anything about borders). today the first cases were reported in Managua. Tomorrow I go to work and have to talk to HR. I absolutely love my job and love my life here in Nicaragua. I know its not my fault I am just saddened that a week after I find out I am pregnant for the first time, there is a world epidemic that has serious implications for pregnant women.. in the country I live in. I thought I saw a mosquito today and freaked out. I know there is no way I can stay - I would not be mentally ok - and morally - its not worth it all. I am way more excited about my hopefully little healthy peanut growing inside of me but just in a little bit of shock of the timing of all of this.
Questions? yes, I have two gene mutations that increase the likelyhood for blood clotting while pregnant. Does anyone have these? Factor 5 ledien and Prothrombin. Nica doctors seem to be very unaware of this. I am on a baby aspirin ever day, but do I need to be on heparin? I am meeting with a new OBGYN tomorrow that hopefully will make me feel a little better.
