WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, OPKs, Vitamins, used Guaifenesin but done now.
R/R/CS: Had our first appointment with an RE today. We had some good news, DH's second SA was totally normal, with great numbers, so that is a huge relief! I got some labs drawn for AMH, thyroid and a general screening. We will probably go ahead with the Hysteroscopy next cycle to make sure my tubes are open.
One thing that was surprising, our dr. told us that using clomid or femara alone, without an IUI doesn't improve your chances of conception. Obviously Drs prescribe these all the time without an IUI, so I'm surprised. Thoughts from people who have been on either of those meds?
GTKY: question in the picture! I think the obvious answer is Sherlock!

R/R/CS: Is anyone else an athlete (recreational or otherwise)? I'm a runner and finished my third marathon this fall. I temped to confirm ovulation the whole way through the training process (I ovulated regularly, training didn't seem to disrupt my cycle). I also do CrossFit twice weekly. I've already dialed down both the running to ~15 miles/week and the Crossfit to a lower intensity, but my doctor casually mentioned it "wouldn't hurt" to take it down some more. (This is the rant.) My question: does anyone have advice for balancing reduced exercise + all the extra energy that seems to come with it? I'm concerned if I don't have running as my stress reliever, I'll channel that into more obsession over TTC. I'm certainly willing to do what it takes, but question if the tradeoff here will actually be helpful. Thank you!
GTKY: question in the picture! SVU, in the Elliot Stabler era, no question.

R/R/CS: I mentioned to DH wanted to get in lots of sex this weekend as a, "if I'm canceling my trip Puerto Rico, I want to have really good odds of getting KTFU," and got a similar sentiment from him, so hopefully that means he'll definitely be on board once it comes time to actually do the deed!
GTKY: ooooh! I love this question even if my huge crush, Captain America isn't on TV. I think I'm going to have to go with Agent Carter because I'd love to meet Peggy. If, however, the fact that we aren't in the same decade disqualifies that choice, I choose Agents of SHIELD. Then when they were done saving me, I could geek out about the Captain with Director Coulson!

Hey @ReesaAnne16, once again we are on the same track. I am also getting an HSG if I don't get pregnant this cycle. My RE's office described a Clomid cycle as a type of IUI cycle and it confused me too. It felt to me like they were skipping ahead because Clomid has always been referred to as a stepping stone to IUI. I guess they are actually often used in conjunction. TBH I'm kind of glad because it seems like the pairing would be very effective. On the other hand, it makes me hesitate because I will be going from basically nothing besides HIO all the way to IUI with clomid in basically one step. Because of that, my plan is to see if our tests come back normal and if so, put off the IUI/Clomid for a few months and just try naturally with progesterone support. I guess we'll see what the tests say and just go from there. Luckily I don't feel a huge sense of desperation just yet, so I am ok with pushing it off for a while. Do you think you would do the Clomid IUI right away?
@RatParade I'm currently binging on Netflix too! Somehow, I missed it when it was actually on. My girlfriend just pointed out that if we had watched while it was on, we would have been Rory's age, now we're Lorelai's age. Ummm, thanks for making me feel old. I'm about half way through season 5 and pretty obsessed.

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, temping, charting, PNVs, checking cm and cervix, sex ED/EoD/whenever
R/R/CS: OPKs seem to be in the "nearly positive" range now and I'm not sure if that's good or bad. I want to O early-ish this month since after CD20 no BDing will be possible with DH out of town. So O really needs to happen by then. But we've had exactly 0 sex in the last 2 days and tonight may not happen since DH isn't getting home till late. I'd really like to have 1 freaking month where we get timing that's more than just "good." We never get more than 2-3x in per fertile window and usually only 1 of the "best" days. So basically I'm slightly conflicted. Although, I think I'd still feel a little better if it went ahead and O'd CD 16/17 whatever because then I don't have to worry about missing it completely. So-so timing is better than no timing hands down.
Quick question: my alarm to temp woke me out of a nightmare this morning so I startled awake terrified. Racing heart and the whole 9. I immediately temped but it was a lot higher than I thought it would be based off my last couple of temps. I ended up going back to sleep for ~3 hours, temped again and that temp was lower. Should I just assume that waking up like I did the first time messed up the temp at the normal time? And which would you use? Right now my chart has the later temp on it but I left the first temp in the notes so I can change it if need be.
GTKY: question in the picture! I'm going with Sherlock (the BBC series). I'll take a side of British wit with my rescue.

@NamelessAria I would keep the lower temp if it were me. Sometimes, I'll wake up right next to DH (who is a furnace) and/or completely snuggled under a million blankets and sweating. @LizaKate1213 - Thanks for looking. That's exactly what I was afraid of. I'm using an iproven BBT that has very good reviews on Amazon, but I don't like that it's not backlit and these temps are making me suspicious. I like the idea of the one you linked to, so I'll probably see how the iproven performs for the rest of the month and then make a decision about whether to move on to thermometer #3 (uggh) at that point.
@atcwag - I think it's early for you to have Oed. Give it a few more days and I bet FF takes those crosshairs away.
@MissAmeliaPond - That's so frustrating. FX for O soon and O in line with when DH comes home!
@whiska - FX that you get the positive OPK you are looking for. If you don't catch it though, it doesn't necessarily mean O didn't happen, so try not to stress about it too much.
@rosenyc123 - Glad to hear you have had positive results with the RE so far and FX that the SA goes well.
@Kristen627 - I wish I could help you with this question but I have the opposite problem - I tend to have low energy and have to psych myself up to work out. Send some of your extra energy my way please? :-) In any event I hope you find something that works for you.
@RatParade - LOL at SSing O. It's so hard to keep the symptom spotting in check sometimes, no matter where you are in your cycle.
@MrsDho11 - Hooray for an on-board DH and have fun HIO!
@NamelessAria - So sorry about the nightmare. If you got 3 hours of sleep before the second temp I would go with that but maybe wait and see what the next few days do so you can see which one is more in line with your general pattern?
@PrettyPalomino - Good luck HIO! You're very brave to attempt HIO ED. **TMI** DH and I both have pretty decent sex drives and he has absolutely no performance issues whatsoever, but we're pretty firmly in the EOD camp when it comes to HIO (for now at least). DH's semen volume seems to be lower when we go ED and I tend to get UTIs if we go ED for too long, so here's hoping EOD does the trick for us.
@juliehollz13 - FX you get news from your endo soon! That's so frustrating.

@kristen627 I'm a runner as well, and also finished my 3rd marathon this fall. I found my cycle to be lengthened significantly each time I'd peak for the race, but would go back after. Your decreased mileage doesn't sound too detrimental at all, the equivalent of 3 30 min work outs per week which is recommended for most people. I'm dealing with the same issues too- because we're TTC, I don't want to sign up for a race. But without a race to train for, I don't know what to do with myself. It's an addiction! I've found myself to be more obsessive about TTC, just as I was for marathon prep. Most choices in the day used to be about how it would fit in with training (i.e food, hydration, weather, time). Now it's how will it fit with TTC. I'm sorry I don't have words of advice- but I wanted to let you know you're not alone in that aspect.
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: Pretty much all the things, once AF is done.
R/R/CS: My husband travels internationally quite a bit for work, and just announced a possible trip to India.... during my "predicted" FW. I've told him that he should go- that's an opportunity that doesn't happen to often and he'll probably scale back once a LO is around. On one hand I'm disappointed on the other - my cycles have been absolutely crazy, and the predicted week hasn't worked the past two cycles. Here's praying for a really short one or a really long one?! Glad we're BBT and OPK so we'll have a clue.
R/R/CS: none today, starting our eod sex until o, want to go ed, but I get infections every time we try.
GTKY: question in the picture! I would pick the cast of criminal minds. My first thought was the Winchester brothers because I think I've been watching way too much supernatural.
WAYDTGKU: I am starting clomid today. It's my first round. I am so nervous, and excited, and terrified, and spastic.
R/R/CS: I am not happy with my gynecologist. I saw him yesterday. For some reason I get the impression he doesn't consider me to be very intelligent. I liked him on previous visits. A lot. But for some reason he seemed bored with me and when I told him my last cycle was 51 days he called me a liar. He said my last period was Dec 3, we haven't had 51 days yet. Um... yes? I've been keeping track of my bbt on FF, it has been 51 days! I'm sure it was just an off day for him, and maybe for me too.
GTKY: Um. I'm going to go with.... DBZ. Lol. They always win with Goku.

Cue the crazy!
@LadyMillil Sorry you didn't get the news you had hoped for. FX for you both! @GreatGigInTheWomb Glad you called your doctor. Sorry you're feeling this way, but that's the first step, acknowledging it and then asking for help. <<hugs>> ETA Actually, those are two steps. Month/Cycle: 18 temping / 6 ntnp / 3 ttc
CD: 11
WAYDTGKU: PNV's, Calcium, DHA, all the teas, no coffee, healthier diet, more exercise, temping and charting on paper, CM/CP, Mucinex, Preseed if we feel like it, wondfo's and CBEAdv started this cycle. Hopefully we'll HIO again tonight...
R/R/CS: No positive OPK's yet. This afternoon turned so stressful and now DH is at his late class, but he's talking about why is he even there if we can barely manage to get him to class on time. He actually missed his first one because the dog wasn't done at the stupid groomer's but I'm glad at least he pulled it together and went for his second class. If we don't HIO tonight then we'll have to make a point for tomorrow, but I really would rather get it in today and then switch to ED for a few days/week. Although I still haven't seen a positive OPK, I'm not sure if I trust it because I tend to ovulate between CD12 and CD15. So I guess it's not going to be CD12 this cycle, but I'd hate to just not turn the OPK's and be relying on that and not actually maximize our FW. But I swear DH starts getting *extra-stressed* around my FW because he starts worrying about providing for another family member. Sigh...

@Missa0830 So much YES about the race thing. It's very hard for me to keep to a training schedule without anything in the pipeline. After eight months of trying, big milestone races that come and go are also a really bittersweet reminder of the passing of time. Hard to think about the ones I *could have* snuck in.
@pretzel2plus1 - FX that the appointment goes well. I don’t know much about endo, so I don’t think I can recommend any questions, but hopefully others have!
@Paturkey - FX that you have a couple more high temps and can move over to TWW!
@virginiaham - FX that you’re feeling better soon, no matter what.
@furbabymom2007 - I’m not sure… 14 days doesn’t seem terribly long to me though, personally. Then again I used to have long periods on Paraguard. And you’re right, Eve Dallas would definitely get the job done!
@Zoey1019 - Glad that you’re excited! Also, Jessica Jones is probably a good pick. She’d find you, but she definitely wouldn’t comfort you after!
@LadyMillil - I’m sorry that the SA results weren’t good. I hope that the RE has some useful options and information for you. *hugs*
@peachykeen17 - Sorry that you’re back at the beginning of a new cycle. *hugs*
@kirby1220 - I’m glad that your DH is feeling good about FW!
@QueenDaenerysT - I believe that Wondfo recommends afternoon because that tends to be peak for hormones, but yes, you need to be careful about urine dilution.
@MRSCORKER - I haven’t found mine the few times that I’ve tried, but I really haven’t tried hard. And oh my goodness, HTGAWM?! I love that show, and yes, Frank is sexy, but I do not want to be involved with them in any way!
@ShinyPenny82 - sounds like a good explanation for a wonky temp to me!
@LizaKate1213 - You are definitely overthinking. You’re not going to know exactly what TOD O is, so TOD for sex isn’t going to matter. There’s enough to stress about, so *try* to not add
@simcal18 - it looks to me like you’re favoring temps, though it is difficult to tell with it only going to tenths of degrees.
@atcwag - If you’re not convinced about CH (and CD8 does seem early), definitely HIO and see what FF does with future temps. If you continue to get lower ones, it’ll take the CH away.
@MissAmeliaPond - LOL. Certainly an interesting theory! FX that your body waits for O until you get some more time with your DH in, assuming your timing isn’t great otherwise?
@bcooke314 - Yeah, the traumatized aspect is why I didn’t choose Criminal Minds, SVU, or Supernatural. I felt like any situation where they are the ones coming to save me would definitely be too traumatic.
@juliehollz13 - I suspect how long it takes to get an appointment with any specialist depends on the region. I’m glad you finally have something scheduled, and I hope the RE isn’t necessary, but if you do have to go that route, that you get an appointment easily!
@Missa0830 - FX that you can get good timing out of this cycle, and safe travels for your husband!
@Mythril - FX that the climid goes well. I’m really sorry that you don’t like your gynecologist. I’ve had condescending docs/medical professionals before and it’s awful. Is there anyone else you can see if the issue continues?
@MrsDho11 Yes, if it continues I'll find someone new. If there's anything I've learned growing up it's that if someone makes me uncomfortable I don't have to put up with them.

WAYDTGKU: temp, opk, vitamins, acupuncture
Thank you!

@whiska - FX that you get the positive OPK you are looking for. If you don't catch it though, it doesn't necessarily mean O didn't happen, so try not to stress about it too much.
@rosenyc123 - Glad to hear you have had positive results with the RE so far and FX that the SA goes well.
@ReesaAnne16 - Hooray for the positive SA!

R/R/CS:
No positive OPK's yet. Sigh...
GTKY: I don't know most of these shows but I was going to say Always Sunny, too! @QueenSunscreen lol And then I thought okay, well duh. MacGuyver. obv

@fitlady21 - FX for CH tomorrow then!
@Megzb510 - FX that the OPKs work for you!
@pretzel2plus1 - FX that the appointment goes well. I don’t know much about endo, so I don’t think I can recommend any questions, but hopefully others have!
@Paturkey - FX that you have a couple more high temps and can move over to TWW!
@Xstatic3333 - Hooray for real AF!
@GreatGigInTheWomb - So sorry you’re feeling depressed. *hugs* Take care of yourself.
@Teamginger13 - FX for an early O.
@DiFazette911 - FX for continued temp rises!
@DCHokiemom - FX for temps to confirm O!
@QueenSunscreen - Sorry for your losses and the string of bad luck. FX that it is over!
@houseofsetters - I would probably be that crazy too.
@MamaMunn - The waiting is tough.
@JamieK1882 - FX that you get more high temps to confirm O and not a fluke.
@tamalahoops - Yay! FX for a good TWW!
@whiska - *hugs* for the anxiety and other emotions.
@rosenyc123 - FX for a positive OPK and good/helpful news from the RE.
@ReesaAnne16 - That is great news! FX that you get more good news from the rest of the testing, etc. Also, yeah, okay, Sherlock is a good call…
@RatParade - I’m sorry the days are going slowly. It would be very satisfying to watch Eliot kick the crap out of kidnappers, that’s for sure!
@NamelessAria - FX that O happens soon then, but not too soon so you can get some BD in first!
@PrettyPalomino - Good luck with your ambitious HIO plan!
@itsmehere1212 - FX for no infection this cycle!
@Mythril - FX that the climid goes well. I’m really sorry that you don’t like your gynecologist. I’ve had condescending docs/medical professionals before and it’s awful. Is there anyone else you can see if the issue continues?
@Marley629 - FX for good timing on O!
@BusinessWife - FX for a positive OPK and confirmed O soon.
