Who is currently getting snowed in? I am snowed in with no SUV to be sure I will not get stuck. The city is doing a good job of plowing but I'm going to play it safe a little longer.
What are your plans for the day? As I am in the WTO side of things...I may just open up a nice bottle of wine and catch up on some DVR shows.
How much snow have you gotten so far? We are at 12.5 inches so far and calling more for today!
What're you eating? We just had eggs, bacon, and pancakes courtesy of the hubs...yummmm
Who is currently getting snowed in? I'm snowed in with the kitties and DH.
What are your plans for the day? Hang some curtains (we just moved in last week) and then Netflix and Chill (figuratively and literally).
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome I wanna say about 14 inches. They're saying maybe another 10-12.
What're you eating? Everything. I actually went to bed feeling sick last night because we got a little too excited with the wine and junk food. I'm gonna try to be a little better today. H is making chili and we have everything to make grilled cheese and tomato soup. Not healthy by any means but a little bit better than the pizza/oreo party we had last night!

What are your plans for the day? I was gonna say Netflix and Chill but I didn't even know it had an alternate meaning until like yesterday. Lol but we are doing both.
How much snow have you gotten so far? 18-20 inches. Pictures welcome
What're you eating? I just made pancakes and bacon.
Pics are of my drive home through our neighborhood yesterday, one of fur-baby on his path we shoveled for him last night and then on the path again this morning with lots of extra snow.
Eta the pics posted out of order. The second one is this morning and the third one is from last night when we shoveled
Who is currently getting snowed in? I'm snowed in with DH and our pup. I had a hard time getting used to winter in the suburbs last year - I was so used to being able to trudge to the bar with all my friends on a snow day. But DH and I had a great day snowed in yesterday even after I got into a wee bitty bit of a car accident. I went out for coffee with my work BFF and her wife in the morning and stayed out a little too long, and I ended up cracking the bumper on DH's car when I spun out on a highway on-ramp and skidded into a guard rail in slow motion. It's not a bad crack and we won't even make an insurance claim on it. But still, it's annoying. Anyway, I've learned my lesson and will not go out again until the roads are safe.
What are your plans for the day? I've watched 3 episodes of Married at First Sight this morning (sorry not sorry.) and had two cups of coffee and a cookie. I'm going to go upstairs and lift weights for a while, then make some brunch, and then we're going to go for a snowy mosey (a snowsey!) through the neighborhood. We'll do some cooking later on today and maybe watch a movie or something. Often when I get bored there is dancing and/or Scrabble. Or dancing whilst playing Scrabble.
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome We have about 6 inches on the ground right now. It seemed like a lot more last night, but I think the snow got smooshed down by all the ice we got overnight. We're supposed to get 3-5 more inches today. I'll try to comment again with pictures later after our snowsey!
What're you eating? I made pancakes from scratch yesterday, NBD. And then I got my tipsy Martha Stewart on in the evening and made some amazing chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Today, DH is making a beef stew, which I will not eat, because I'm pescetarian. I'll make him the aforementioned brunch after I work out (eggs and potatoes, I think) and then I'll probably snack intermittently throughout the rest of the day. There are olives and there's cheese and that's pretty much all I need in this life. This evening I want to steam up some artichokes that I bought the other day. I think I'll probably whip up a fresh loaf of Italian bread tonight because I am a boss.
Can I play? No snow (yay PNW) but I was supposed to get a highly perishable package for my research yesterday. It was coming from Portland, Oregon and had to go through Memphis before it could get to me. The snow delayed the flight for so long that the perishables perished My entire day was wasted because I was obsessively checking FedEx for shipment updates or talking to FedEx, or driving to the FedEx depot.
I'm doing homework and crafting today.
I had a bagel, grapes and hot chocolate for breakfast.
Who is currently getting snowed in? DH, my dog and I in Northern VA.
What are your plans for the day? It's my husband's birthday so I made brunch and then I'm making filet mignon for dinner. Then presents! Currently watching a marathon on Netflix. Watched Narcos last night and are watching Jessica Jones this morning.
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome Haven't measured but I'd say 2 feet.
What're you eating? We had cinnamon buns and bacon for breakfast!

Thanks @PennStateCait! Your doggie is cute too! Does he/she love the snow? Our little dog is the only family member who gets excited about the snow. Every time he goes out he goes crazy and comes in with snow all over his face from diving into it.
Who is currently getting snowed in? No snow here in North Texas. DS and I would love to be snowed in. So would our German Shepherd. I love the pics - remind me of growing up in Illinois.
What are your plans for the day? I have to go into the office.
How much snow have you gotten so far? Not a flake. It's sunny but cold. And by cold, I mean not quite freezing lol.
@rkstro2 Our pup loves the snow too! She's obsessed with it! She loves eating it and attacking it. She keeps looking out the window and crying to go out but since we live in a high-rise we don't have a yard.

Lol @PennStateCait I don't understand the dog obsession with snow! Dude it's cold out there! Why do you want to keep going out? I guess since we have so much snow here we could just leave him out bc he's not big enough to get past what we've shoveled out for him but he might freeze.
@rkstro2 and @PennStateCait HAHA your dogs sound awesome. My puny little wimp dog is horrified by the snow. We had to drag her outside to do her business today because she would rather hold it all day and fart everywhere than go outside to poop in the snow.

I'm a little jealous. I'm in MN and we really haven't had that much snow, just really really cold until now. I would like an excuse to stay in the house.
I second the jealousnes! I don't live here, but I'm in NM in a cabin in the mountains and while there is plenty of leftover snow, it is not currently snowing in fact.... I'm lying in a hammock... Winter Mountain fail.

My H made it to work at 5 am "with ease" he says. Good old Jeeps. So I'm alone all day and am currently on the couch catching up on Vanderpump Rules and other awful reality TV. Oh and I'm blasting the volume because the girls who live above us have transitioned their apt to a club and I feel like I'm in it with them. I appreciate that they're trying to have a fun drunken partying snow day but it's like this everyyyy weekend. I never heard the people who lived there before them and I never hear any other neighbors so they have to really be trying to be obnoxious. At this point I'm daydreaming of knocking on their door and being like
In other news, we are at 17" and counting!
And I'm making myself some grilled cheese for lunch. Nom nom.

How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome I am not exactly sure - maybe 6 inches so far? But it's enough that I can barely see anything outside of my window (normally I have a pretty good view of the city since I'm high up), the people look like they're really struggling to walk, and a ban on all non-emergency vehicles on the streets has just been instituted. Something tells me the worst may be yet to come?
What're you eating? So much good stuff - DH picked up delicious salmon/lox/bagels/cream cheese for breakfast on his way home from work (overnight call at the hospital) and I stocked up on all sorts of soups, chicken, snacks, etc. Nom, nom, nom.....

Who is currently getting snowed in? I'm not snowed in, but in the north Atlanta suburbs, we shut everything down over one snow flake. The one time we didn't, well, Snowmageddon. I'm sure everyone is familiar with that joke (which really isn't a joking matter. DH spent the night in a bar. Dad walked miles in a suit on interstate to then spend the night In a random ladies van, without gas/heat, on the roadside). Therefore, we are stuck at home because there is nowhere to go!
What are your plans for the day? I went on a giant grocery trip yesterday (so did everyone else - thank you "blizzard") and just spent a couple hours putting together 20 crock pot meals to freeze. Boy does that feel good! Now I'll finish 'Making a Murderer' while DH and DS play ninja or something equally boy (read: I don't want to get hit in the face by a nerf dart. Or be tackled. Count me out.)
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome A dusting and black ice. Just enough to spread end of the world fear across these southern back woods. I do love it here though!
What're you eating? BBQ pulled pork in the crock. Beer until then!
I am so insanely jealous of all of these pictures! There is something so amazing about a snow day! Out of solidarity, I am spending my Southern California day on the couch watching Man in the High Castle with a pot roast in the crock pot! Please keep the pictures coming so I can live vicariously through you all! I will take a walk to the beach later in all of your honor.
@MRSCORKER ok! I just moved from Arlington to Loudoun in Va. Did you see the latest update on the news? Something about the storm stalling so now we're in for even more snow. Not sure if your area is affected!

@PennStateCait Um, are we the same person?? I'm snowed in in NoVa AND it's my husband's birthday.
I made him breakfast this morning, brownies are in the oven and we're having sort of a smorgasbord of food for dinner. Not exactly the wild night at the bar he was hoping for.
We're snowed in with my in laws and the two pups. One LOVES the snow and we can't get him in. The other likes it for a few minutes and then gets cold. We're trying to keep on top of the snow and shoveling but it's a losing battle. Currently watching Gone Girl on TV and already watched an episode of Making a Murderer.
@kirby1220 I'm trying so hard to get DH to sit down and watch MAM with me but he can't sit still long enough. I might just watch it without him, I'm already so behind the times!

Who is currently getting snowed in? Me + our two pups - SO is in FLORIDA .
What are your plans for the day? I just spent an hour? an hour and an half? some obscene amount of time shoveling. I'm going to feed and walk the dogs, then resume my Netflix attempts at coping with this crap.
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome I think we've had about a foot so far, but the drifts are almost to my waist in some spots.
What're you eating? Not nearly enough carbs

Who is snowed in? Me, DH, Kodi & Jax (our medium & mini labradoodles)
Plans? I have shoveled out a path for puppy potty twice & DH did the whole driveway once but you can't even tell it is snowed & drifted so much more.
How much? New just said 24" in my town
Eating? I have tuna tataki & Brie for apps & beautiful dry aged ribeyes for dinner. We had blueberry pancakes for brunch. It's also officially wine-o-clock!
I am not getting snow.... But it is in the 30s in Florida... So I am going play. Plus I am bored.
Who is currently getting snowed in? Not me... But I am getting hourly updates from my in laws outside of Philadelphia.
What are your plans for the day? Already had a cake smash photo session this morning and took the dog to the dog park.
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome None... But my in laws have 4 ft drifts in the patio (photo). I do have this freeze warning thing for tonight but I am not sure what I am supposed to do with that information... Lol
What're you eating? I had a really good sandwich from a local place there. It was called the Rufus and it was so messy I am still finding sauce on my fingers.
First pic is my in laws patio... And just to make you all hate me, the second is mine;)
@kirby1220 whaaaaat?!?! We are twinsies!!! When is YOUR birthday!? Please say May 23rd.
For dinner we had filet mignon and sweet corn tamale cakes. I burnt my hands on the cast-iron pan so that was super fun. I do have some brownies I'm planning to make that I totally forgot about though... might have to make those later tonight.

Nom nom.

*ETA @pambtoro We just had grilled cheeses with gratuitous amounts of butter and tomato-basil soup, too!

What are your plans for the day? Couch, pjs, snuggle, tv/netflix, all the wine

Pictures welcome
A dusting and black ice. Just enough to spread end of the world fear across these southern back woods. I do love it here though!
What're you eating?
BBQ pulled pork in the crock. Beer until then!
Our current situation. Digging out tomorrow is gonna suuuuuuuuuuck.

Out of solidarity, I am spending my Southern California day on the couch watching Man in the High Castle with a pot roast in the crock pot!
Please keep the pictures coming so I can live vicariously through you all! I will take a walk to the beach later in all of your honor.

My neighborhood:
Our front door, which was stuck shut by the snow until we went around from the front and shoveled it out:
A pot on our deck, which gives a good idea of how much snow we've had:
What are your plans for the day? I started painting the guest room and now I'm watching sing along songs with DD
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome we have close to 30 inches by now
What're you eating? Beer

FYI: any beach pictures on this thread would seriously inhibit my enjoyment of this site.
TTC #1 --- BFP #1 5/15, loss at 5 weeks --- BFP #2 12/15, loss at 4+3 --- RE testing 3/16 normal, still trying for our rainbow

Who is currently getting snowed in? Not me... But I am getting hourly updates from my in laws outside of Philadelphia.
What are your plans for the day?
Already had a cake smash photo session this morning and took the dog to the dog park.
How much snow have you gotten so far? Pictures welcome
None...
For dinner we had filet mignon and sweet corn tamale cakes. I burnt my hands on the cast-iron pan so that was super fun. I do have some brownies I'm planning to make that I totally forgot about though... might have to make those later tonight.
