Baby Wilder was born on 1/17 at 5am after 30 hours of labor. He was 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches. We labored mostly at home as I was so positive the whole time it was false labor (denial much?!). Once we got to the hospital, I was 6 cm dilated and got an epidural right away. I have to add, I was terrified of the epidural insertion but it was totally painless! My water broke naturally sometime after that but it was still 6 or so hours until we were ready to push. Took me about an hour and a half to push little man out. I ended up with a third degree tear but that's so insignificant compared to the perfect little baby I'm holding now!
I'm am so excited to join this thread! My water broke on Monday at 1:30 am, I thought that it was pee but my husband told me it looked like fluid so we went in. The hospital did a test but it keep coming back negative for amniotic fluids. They also denied that it was fluids because it wasn't a typical "gush" like the movies which I thought was silly. They were about to send me home when I asked them to check again. Sure enough it was fluids. They admitted me and I wasn't dilating at all I was at .5 cm and wasn't really progressing. I was doing amazing without the epidural (which I didn't want) and got to 4 cm but wouldn't progress much after. After I got the epidural I slept and woke up 9.5 cm dilated. They also started me on pitocin. I was a champ (didn't cry even before I got pain meds) and pushed all I could but baby girl wasn't coming out. So c-section was the next option. I was hysterical I cried and said I felt like a failure. All in all the c-section went amazing and mommy and baby are doing excellent. My blood pressure is a bit high but it has been during the last few weeks. I will be here for the next 3 days so it helps to have someone to help you with your new miracle! She doesn't cry and is the sweetest thing that I have ever seen in my life. When you talk to her she coos. She is also so in love with her daddy. She looks exactly like I did when I was a baby. Malaysia also breast feeds like a champ. Thanks for reading sorry it was so long! Meet Malaysia Alexandria born on 1/19 at 7:29 pm. 7 pounds and some change
Skylar Lily was born 1/18 at 9:26 am weighing 6lbs 13oz (after my dr guessing her in at 5.5-6# only!) Contractions started at 8pm Sunday night and kept themselves strong but without a pattern. They kicked in harder around 10 and then after my last bath to try and calm the pain around 1:30 we decided it was time to go bc they kept a short and quick constant pace as rhythm. Checked into our L&D room and were situated by 3. Contractions had me in so much pain I had zero rest between them and was in tears. Came in at 3cm, had to wait for my epidural (which I planned going without but at home knew how hard they were I wouldn't be able to) for about an hour or so, which when being positioned for between my 3 min apart contractions my water broke. Epidural took over an hour to get a good dose to cover my right side, but once I was covered was up to 7cm. Rested a bit and by 7:30 was fully dilated just waited for my OB's word, positioned her head for him around 9, he showed up quickly and she was out in a few short pushes! Everyone was surprised how quickly and easily she came out with just a 1 degree tear. All healthy and happy and ready to go home today!
Addison Marlene born 1/18/16 at 3:25 am she weighed in at 7 pounds 4 ounces and 20.5 inches long. My water broke Saturday evening... Doctor told us to head to labor and delivery... Nothing was progressing so they ended up giving me pitosin on Sunday morning, and 18 hours after getting that we were finally able to hold our precious girl. The second the put her on my chest all of the pain was forgotten! Family of 3 and so in love!
After having contractions all weekend that were 5 min apart but not really even very uncomfortable, my water broke at 3 AM on Tuesday. I was only 2 cm when we got to the hospital. My contractions were strong but stayed about 4 minutes apart throughout my whole labor. I pushed for hours but because my contractions were so far apart, I would push him down some and then he would move back up while we waited on the next contraction. After 3 hours of pushing, they started me on a low dose of pitocin to try to bring the contractions closer together. Another hour later, he still hadn't arrived and they decided he was just not in a good position for birth and started talking about a c-section. As a last ditch effort I tried pushing while laying on my right side, the first contraction I felt him turn and he FINALLY started crowning! He was born just a few pushes later!
After 33 hours of labor and 2 1/2 hours of pushing, Cason was born on 1/19 at 41 weeks, weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. He is absolutely perfect!
So after being induced at midnight this morning (41 weeks), I had a long labor and couple of scares. You never think it'll happen to you & it def didn't go like planned or wanted, but the baby's heartbeat kept dropping a lot due to the pitocin, my blood pressure kept spiking then dropping, and my heart rate kept going high, plus I couldn't get past 6 cm. After a few hours of there, my dr decided it would be best to have c section. We also realized his head was stuck he just wasn't going come out vaginally. I was of course extremely disappointed, but overall thankful for healthy baby. Welcome to our lives, little Talen Michael, born 1/20 @ 7:57 pm weighing 7 lbs 1 oz & 19" long. He is beautiful and his dad and I are sooo in love!
EDD- January 17, 2016 BORN- January 9, 2016 @ 11:07am
After a super quick labor and delivery Kenzie Ireland Emma was born on January 9th at 11:07am weighing 6lbs 7oz and measuring 19 inches long. I went in to see my doctor for a routine prenatal appointment the day before she was born and was so uncomfortable that I practically begged him to do a membrane sweep to try and get things moving, he agreed that we should try, he did it and sent me on my way I didn't feel anything all day and went to bed pretty discouraged that night convinced that she was going to stay in there forever. At 6:00am this next morning I woke up to a big gush and originally thought I had peed the bed, I got up to clean myself up and strip the bed and pretty quickly realized that my water had broken I called the hospital and they told me to head up to get checked out. We arrived at the hospital at 7:30 and the doctor decided that since my first daughters labour and delivery was pretty fast that I should stay and walk around to get things moving since I hadn't felt any contractions at all yet. My fiancé and I started walking around the hospital and I felt the first contraction around 9:00am from there everything happened really quickly, I got in the bath and laboured there for almost the entire time I was in labour; at 11:00 I got out of the tub and started pushing and at 11:07am our sweet Kenzie was born. Our family is now complete and we're so in love!
Sibyl Zelda Jean was born at home at 10:01am this morning (1/21/16) while big brother played in the next room. edd: 1/25 7lbs 2oz, 20.5 inches long labor was fairly quick. mild/moderate contractions started at 4am. By 6am they were intense enough to call the midwife to check in. I labored in the tub for a few hours but started to get overheated and needed to get out around 8am. The midwife showed up at 8:30am and asked if I wanted to be checked. The contractions were coming quick enough that it wasn't comfortable. I felt the urge to push and the midwife told me to trust myself and go for it. pushed for a bit on all fours using the birthing ball. It felt comfortable but discouraging that I wasn't making much progress. (DS was born with three pushes and I just wanted the baby out!). The midwife suggested that I switch positions. I moved to the squatting position and she came out with one small push. Yay for gravity!
Andee Rose was born at 12:31 p.m. on 1/21. She is 7 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches. Her EDD was 1/22, but I was induced this morning with pitocin and having my water broken. Once I got an epidural, I went from 5/6 cm dilated to ready to push in less than 5 minutes. I was super nervous about the induction and am so glad everything worked out.
Graham Joseph made his entrance at 12:32am on 1/21/16 after 31.5 hours of grueling labor. He weighed 8lb 14oz and was 20in long (with the biggest head the dr had ever seen )
Started the induction and went to 7cm over the course of 24 hours, then got stuck at 7cm for over 7 hours on pitocin and the epidural stopped working. He was also facing anterior so the contractions were mostly in my back. Long story short, his head was too big to descend so we had to do a c section. The spinal block didn't take so I had to go under general anesthesia and miss the birth. Needless to say it wasn't my planned birth, but the end result is so fabulous! I can't even remember how bad those contractions felt yesterday when I look at this sweet face! We are definitely in love!!
Aiden Brent was born Monday a day after my 30th birthday weighing 7lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. Best present I've ever received!
My water broke at 3:30 am. It was a small gush then not a lot was leaking out after. Since I've had two previous false alarms I was hesitant to head to the hospital. When I went in the resident said she could feel my water bag when she did the check but said she would do the protein test just to be sure. So I was prepared to go home when the nurse brought in the IV to start my antibiotics for GBS. Turns out my fore-bag had broke (never knew there were two bags of water!) contractions started at 5:00am. Labored till 4:00pm and pushed for two hours. Baby's head was coming out sideways making him stuck in the birth canal, they were about to use the vacuum to see if that would work before going for a c-section. The next push he finally made progress. With an episiotomy along with another bad tear we welcomed out little miracle into the world. It was all so worth it.
Team green turned team pink! DS has the little sister he was hoping for! Marlowe Ann was born today Jan 22 (my bday too!) via induction at 40 weeks and 3 days. Her birth was a dream, as I had no tearing or stitches this time around and she was breastfeeding like a champ within minutes. She is 8lb7oz 20.5 inches and absolutely perfect!
Charles Lyndon was born at 3:49pm on 1/22 at 38+5. He was 6lbs 12oz and 22 inches long. Went in for an induction due to high blood pressure and protein in my urine on 1/21 but my water broke naturally around 4am immediately followed by contractions. Was fully dilated by 11am but waited to push until about 2pm. Close to two hours of pushing and he was here! As a FTM the process was much smoother than I expected. Still can't believe he's ours!
Myles Isaac was born on 1/12/16. He was 7lbs 13oz and 20.5in long. It took most of the day but once the Dr broke my water I went from a 6 to him being born in 2 hours! Love him so much!
Zara Grace Zamet was born late on 1/22 after almost 12 hours of induction. Labor once it progressed did so super quickly- I was checked at 4 cm next time I was 9 cm and getting a very last minuet epidural ( anastesiologist was a rock star for getting it done so quick). Some 2nd degree tears and our baby girl was here. Recovery already proving painful but super worth it.
Bruce Braden arrived 22/01/16 @ 6:08am weighing 8lbs 1oz and 21 1/4" long at 39w1d gestation Water broke at 4:30 on Jan 21, disorganized contractions started at about 6:30, active labor started around 5pm. Labored at home until 3:30 am then started pushing, pushed for 2 hours and made little to no progress and after being awake for over 24 hours I was exhausted so we decided to transfer to the hospital, things changed on the ride over and when we arrived he was crowning so ended up pushing him out without any intervention after all!
Edwin Sean was born via planned c-section, due to his potential large size, on 1/20. He came out weighing 9lb 4oz, 21 inches long, and has a head full of dark hair. We're both doing great and got to come home on 1/22
Finally he's here!! Luke Andrew came this morn at 723! 8lbs and 3oz. After being mentally exhausted and crying the day of his dd Jan 22. I woke up at 1am to crazy contractions but they were 15 mins apart I waited and woke Hubby at 2 they were hurting but 10 mins apart. Really I woke him to complain about more early labor and not being able to sleep! Well went pee and had a bright red bloody show. Called my midwife and she said come get checked. By 3 they were 4 mins apart and so strong! Admitted and checked at 4am and thought I'm a 3 it'll be awhile well I went 3 to 7 in less than an hour! Got my epidural at 8cm. By this time the pain was the worst I've ever experienced and this is baby #4. Once I had my amazing epidural my water broke and it was time to push! So altogether arrived at 4 was holding my baby at 723! He's nursing so great and I was the only delivery so I got spoiled with great staff!! Also major plus no stitches ! I am so tired but so happy!!! Overdue Mommas hang in there!! I know some of you are 41 and 42 weeks but I promise your body will work and do all it needs to!! Stay busy and those tears will be laughed at when you finally hold your bundle
Olive Jane, born on her due date, (18/1/16) has stolen our hearts! Spent 6 hours at home, 6 hours in hospital, including about 1 hour of pushing. Truly the most amazing experience of my life. Couldn't have done it without the support of my husband, reminding me to breathe and focus on the outcome. We were convinced we were having a boy, and were so surprised when she arrived. Love her to bits!
Odin Brett Hanson was born on January 19th at 1:30 in the morning weighing 8lb 11oz and 21 3/4in long. We went in to be induced on the 18th and quickly dilated (10 seconds between contractions all day. So awful). They are still not sure why my body dilated so fast. I got to a 9 and halted. Baby's heart beat started to drop, I got a fever and my heart rate rose. They suspected an infection of the placenta and since my baby has a congenital heart condition it was too stressful for him. He was delivered via an emergency c section. He is still in NICU, and will be for a while. The cardiologist team is deciding if he needs open heart surgery now or if he can go home and get bigger before he comes back for it. Keep our little guy in your thoughts and prayers!
Team green turned BLUE! Fisher Ryan born 1/23 at 2:55am 7 lb 11.5 oz 21.5 inches Fast delivery within 45 mins of arriving at the hospital. Perfect addition to our now family of 4!
Went in for an induction on the morning of the 13th. I was at 3cm when I got there! They started me on pitocin around 10:00am. When the Dr came back at 4:00 to check me, I was still at 3cm so he broke my water to help get things moving along! He came back around 8:20 to check and I was at a solid 7cm. By the time he left the room, maybe 3 mins later, I was having extreme pressure down below and I knew it was time to push! The quickly called him back into the room, and sure enough, I was already at 10cm! He asked if I wanted to do a practice push, and that's all it took! One Push!!! And Knox was out!
Knox Robert, born Jan 13th, @ 8:28pm, weighing 8 lbs and 11 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long!
Violet Evelyn made her grand entrance on 1/22! 6 lbs 14 oz. A very long induction process followed by a cesarean. She is healthy, happy, and nursing like a champ! We are obsessed!
Went in for my induction Saturday at 7 am. Got the cervix ripening pill put in once every 4 hours. 12:30 am on Sunday my water broke on its own, and that's when the real contractions started to kick in. They gave me a morphine shot so I could sleep, and I was able to cat nap for a while. I was having bad back labor so they had me get in the tub and be on all fours to try and move him so he wasn't sunny side up. Once I got back into bed I was crying for the epidural. Decided to get checked and see where I was at, because if I was dilating finally I was just going to say nevermind on the epi. But I was still 1 and a half centimeters. The anesthesiologist came about 10 and I fell right to sleep after the numbing kicked in. At about 1:30 I woke up because I was feeling an intense pressure, the nurse checked my cervix and I was at 4. About 30 minutes later I was crying in pain and felt the need to push. I was dilated to 9 and a half, so they got everything ready. At 2:59 he was here!
Lucas Joesph made his appearance this morning at 12:08 am. (39w4d) Came in at 3:00 yesterday to start my inducement. Started slow on pitocin at 5pm. By 8pm they broke my water and I had an epidural. It was a very mellow and chill experience. I started pushing at 11:30 pm and he was born via VBA2C after about 40 minutes of me pushing. He was 9 lbs 8 oz and 22 1/2 inches long. (I can't believe how big he is?!?)
Braeden Was born 1/25/2016 at 12:40 PM. He weighed 7 lbs 11 ozs. I came in yesterday at 6:30 PM for a schedule induction. They gave me a pill to soften my cervix and after 6 hours I was still only 1 cm dilated. They gave me another pill and at 4:15 AM my water broke. I had four TERRIBLE contractions and was told I could get an epidural. The epidural saved me! It was AMAZING. I felt nothing! They started me on pitocin. My doctor checked me at 630 AM and I was only 1.5 cm. I was checked again at 12 pM and I was 10 cm and +2! I pushed for about 30 minutes and he popped out. I had such a great and easy experience. I'm so in love with him and so thankful! Good luck to every other mother! You'll do an amazing job!
Amelie Isabelle born 25/1 at 5.25pm. Four hours of labour after arriving at hospital dilated to 4cm. Used the birthing pool which was amazing. Baby weighs in at 6lb 3oZ five days late! We are smitten
Micheal James Anthony born 1/20/16. 7lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. At 39wks 3 days I decided to try the pineapple trick to induce labor. well, after eating a $10 family sized pack my water broke at 3:45 pm the next day. When I got to the hospital my contractions died down at 3cm 70% effaced. I am a VBCA so I was only able to have a small amount of pitocin which brought me to 10cm. then had to be backed down do to fetal distress. So long story short I pushed my LO out with hardly any help from my uterus. All 7lbs 12oz of him I still do thank the pineapple for starting labor 4 days early
She's a blizzard baby and is featured in the Captial Gazette because of her story. Long story short: I had to ride to the hospital in a firebrick due to the road conditions. Thankfully the craziness ended there. Labored for 15 hours total. Epidural was a DREAM! Sweet girl was born at 11:10am. (So close to 11:11!)
Our sweet girl Aubrey Anne EDD 1/16 Arrived 1/21/16 at 5:06pm 7lbs 11oz. 18 3/4inches
I labored at home from Wednesday 1/20 at 3pm until my husband was home from work at 11:30pm with pretty tolerable contractions every 3-5 min and then around 1am decided it was time to officially go to the hospital as they were less than 3 min apart and became very uncomfortable. Got checked in at 3cm, was admitted and labored for another 3-4 hrs when I finally decided the epidural would help my body relax which was amazing! I felt nothing at all! Once baby was at 9cm we realized she was sunny side up and spent the next few hrs getting her to turn which was successful thankfully! Pushed for about 15 min and she was here! We are so in love and blessed

Came in at 3:00 yesterday to start my inducement.
Born January 19. 2016
Emergency C-section
Traumatic labor experience
But worth it to have him here safe and healthy
Good luck to every other mother! You'll do an amazing job!
All 7lbs 12oz of him
I still do thank the pineapple for starting labor 4 days early
sorry left out the picture

She's a blizzard baby and is featured in the Captial Gazette because of her story. Long story short: I had to ride to the hospital in a firebrick due to the road conditions. Thankfully the craziness ended there. Labored for 15 hours total. Epidural was a DREAM! Sweet girl was born at 11:10am. (So close to 11:11!)
