Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I apparently can only have one highly productive day a week. Yesterday I worked from 8am to 9pm and rocked it. Today I slept til 930, have worked an hour, and have laid around a ton. Not looking forward to going in to work, even though I only have to be there an hour and a half.
What are you doing to prepare for baby: cradle mattress came today. That's about all.
GTKY: How did you and your SO meet: His best friend worked at probation and we had mutual caseloads for people in court programs. One day he randomly asked if I was single and said he had some single friends. He gave me three choices: a borderline alcoholic, an angry little man, and a shy guy. I picked the shy guy.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Symptoms: Pelvic pain. I'm working around it - bought a yoga ball for my office, stand up regularly while working (I have a sit/stand desk, thankfully!), lay down with a heated neck roll on my low back/butt area, etc. I also had heartburn/reflux all day yesterday. No bueno. Rant: I am so overwhelmed at work! It happens every January and again usually in March but it still overwhelms me each year. Rave: Tomorrow is our anatomy scan! I am excited and nervous. Also, I am 99% sure I felt the baby kicking last night in bed. I've had some flutters that I wasn't sure were baby or gas for the last couple weeks but last night was like being poked from the inside. I could even feel it on the outside. By the time DH got his hand on my belly it had stopped. It was really cool!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still researching products so I can start my registry next week. Last weekend I started reading my breastfeeding book since my next Centering appointment is all about BFing and a lactation consultant will be there.

GTKY: How did you and your SO meet? We met through friends. He went to college with a guy I grew up with and we met through him and his wife about 10 years ago. We were just friends at first - I was dating someone else. Once I was single he moved in pretty quick.
Rants? Last night at work. Someone put a mat somewhere it shouldn't have been. I tripped on it. Fell potential my foot is broken. But Doctor wouldn't X-ray. Have my foot wrapped in a tensor. Will have to go back if no relief by Monday.
GTKY We met on Lavalife yes we are those people lol. In 2006. It was love at first sight. Been together 10 years in August.
Rant- pretty sure my cold is a sinus infection as I have crazy cheek and jaw pain. I'm off work till I can function again which eats into my sick days a lot but I feel like I have no choice. Seeing the doc tomorrow. Rave- baby very active right now- always fun and reassuring. At least one of us has some energy.
GTKY We met at a Halloween party. We didn't get together till I saw him out of costume a few months later though. He gets very into Halloween and his costume (including hair dye) was not so flattering.
@crdo me too. If it is I'm done work til after baby regardless of how it comes. I'm on feet all day so doesn't jive well with broken feet. I'm struggling to even get shoes on right now. My foot is swollen and wrapped in a tensor. I had to wear sandals in the snow this morning.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant - Cant figure out how to get one of those darn tickers in my sig line. I read somewhere that you have to put the url in the little drop down when you click the picture in the menu but that was not working. Arg.... Rave - Everyone around me (with the exception of the father) has been incredibly supportive since the second they found out im preggo... its incredibly helpful. Symptoms - Im tired and supremely emotional but Im not sure if thats hormones or my situation, probably a combination of the two.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Maintaining a registry, and I just acquired a second hand crib that a colleague is being nice enough to drop off at my apartment next week (my one bedroom! yikes!).
Questions? Can anyone help me with my sig line?:) I have searched the forums and any info I found ended up not actually working for me. I'm a former computer programmer so I am mostly computer literate so this is killing me.
