I don't like having a short torso. My long legs can stay, but I fear where this baby is going to go at some point when there's no more room to go up. I feel like I look bigger than I am, and this belly is just going to keep getting bigger.
I am convinced that this is going to be me...
I hear you on the short torso...although I have short stubby legs and giant boobs as well....I'd kill for some legs at least!
I desperately need a break from my toddler. She's been home sick from her dayhome all week and I love her but damn. Very eager for her dr's appt next week to get a note saying she's cleared to go back. If he says she's still contagious then I am going to cry.

I hope she is feeling better and gets the clear from the doctor! I feel this so hard lately. My H has been fishing a lot so it's just me and my kids. 3.5 and 16 months. I could really use a break man. Plus DD's preschool has a break for the next two weeks due to finals and new students. (She goes at our high school and has high schoolers as teachers as well as a normal instructor) so this momma is going to need a break!
Like several others have mentioned, my DH is also on a health kick. I told him I wanted pizza (thanks @NicknShan hah) for dinner and he changed the subject. I swea-ter-gawd if he comes in the door empty handed I'm going to flip.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
I wish my DH was on a health kick. He's the worst influence!
Totally random but this was on my mind earlier today: there was a thread a while back about what to wear for newborn photos, and a few moms were saying stuff to the effect of wow it's so brave to be in the newborn photos, I would never, I look so bad after giving birth. It bummed me out so badly. Ladies, make sure there are lots of photos of you with your newborn and your kid at every point in their life. They're not for you. They're not glamour shots. They're for your kids, and when they look back at them, all they will see is their smiling, loving parents, not your tummy or the bags under your eyes.

Ditto on the short torso. I should show you my bump from 36 weeks when I was carrying the twins. It's insane.
BFP 5/2/11 DS born 1/19/12.
BFP #2 12/29/12, EDD 9/6/13, MC 1/2/13.
BFP #3 5/4/13, EDD 1/9/14 Twin Boys! L&L born 12/18/13
I always wonder how often I'd have to post to make it on that weekly leader board on the side of the screen. Is that how it works? You get points for how often you post?

YES!! I wish there were photos of my Mom pregnant with me, or with me as a newborn... growing up my Mom was always behind the camera ... I thought the same thing to myself this morning when taking my 17 week bump picture, some day if I have a daughter, she's gonna want to look at these to compare her pregnancy to!!
I'm feeling a little bit better and suddenly all I can think about are sloppy joes. I haven't had one in years, but it's like instantly I just need it. Out of nowhere. No commercials or posts, just pure unadulterated need. Sloppy. Joes.
@VikingGirl12 ugh. I am so so sorry. I was there all day yesterday and most of today. I hope it passes for you all quickly. So far I know people in Boston, NYC, and now Georgia. This thing is nasty.
I decided to try to be healthier this week so I worked out every day for at least 30 minutes, ate my veggies and avoided ice cream in the evenings for the most part. I gained 2lb...ha! I figured "screw it" tonight and ate ice cream....if I'm going to gain 2lb anyway, bring me back my ice cream.
Went to see why my iphone kept messing up and walked away with a new galaxy S6. It's going to take some getting used to after having iphones for the last 6 years or so.

It still has not given up! How long did it last for you and how did you stay hydrated? I hadn't been able to keep any fluids down since 6 last night but now I'm working on some ice chips and I think it's starting to help. When do I get concerned about baby and hydration? Agh! This IS awful.
I woke up at like 4:30 am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Partly because I went to bed at 9 last night and mostly because of the stupid cold and not breathing.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
@Huskerfanz not breathing is bad for you, I strongly recommend breathing. all joking aside, sorry to hear your feeling ill lady, feel better and hope you get some rest!
@VikingGirl12 I'm really so sorry, but you're at the end, if it's a virus, it should be 48 hrs max and you should be almost done vomiting. Don't worry too much about water quantity and focus instead. on balancing electrolytes. Drink smart water, Gatorade, or pedialyte. There are pedialyte Popsicles. I was only able to take small sips or eat tiny pieces and every 30 minutes they come up anyway.
I was done throwing up in 24 hrs, but still nauseous and not full speed for the next 24. Ate and drank very little. Are you on the BRAT diet? (Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast), nothing fatty. My OB said to drink Gatorade and eat BRAT foods. I sipped chicken broth for some protein, but I still couldn't keep down rice yesterday so my diet is still limited. FWIW- OB was not at all concerned about LO as these viruses are short lived. If you think it's too violent, not passing, or food borne- call the OB or head to the ER just to make sure you are ok.
@HBamama2B I did end up calling the hospital and spoke to the midwife on call. She told me to drink as much Gatorade as possible and to eat Popsicles, even if it just comes back out. If the cramping and diarrhea didn't stop by tonight to come to L&D. I sent my poor sick husband out To Walmart. We both devoured Popsicles when he got home and drank a bunch of Gatorade. We have both held it down for over an hour and I took a Tylenol and I feel soooo much better!!! Thanks!!!
@VikingGirl12 so so glad you are feeling better. I feel almost 100% today. Not hungry and my lips are still chapped, but no nausea and good energy. Hope you continue to recover quickly!! All of you get lots of rest!
DH is out fishing with some buddies. What am I doing? Sitting on the couch watching chick flicks and eating pizza. All by myself. Can't say I'm hating it...we all need a virtual girls night.

DH and I are installing crown molding on our kitchen cabinets. I like your plan WAY better.
@crdo I needed a night like this to just do nothing, and DH hasn't had a guys night in a little while. So it's just me and the dog lol I bet the kitchen cabinets will look great when they're all done though!

Every now and then, you just need a night to veg. Girls/guys nights are a necessity too. Hope you and doggy enjoy!
Thanks! It's been a lot of work so far (mostly for DH because baby is limiting my participation) and there's still quite a ways to go, but it'll feel so good to finally have it done. Worth it in the end.

Ooooh, AW the kitchen picture please when it is done? This sounds nice.
Pretty good mocktail.... lime rimmed glass with salt, a little lime juice, glass about 1/4 full with Limeaid by Simply brand, a splash of cranberry juice and La Croix lime sparkling water to the top of the glass. *Almost* feels like a tropical drink you'd have on the beach.
@mrsschmity - I'm jealous of your pizza right now. I ordered a great chicken salad from a salad place nearby (with crasins, mandarin oranges, Parmesan and tons of veggies and balsamic) but immediately upon ordering it I wished I had gotten pizza instead.
Ugh. My husband finally got this gross skin tag removed off of his back that has been there since we've started dating. Now we have to clean and re-bandaid last night and he is being a whiny b**** about "old band aids". They are less than a year old! Band aids don't have expiration dates. I'm happy to help him as its on his back but he won't shut up about it. Tonight I told him that even if he goes to the store to get new ones, (which he could do and I wouldn't complain!) there's no guarantee how long they've been on the shelf and could be plenty old as well. He laughed at me and told me I should stop before I sound more stupid because I don't know how stores work. Aargh!!
Re: Weekly Randoms go here...
You may be surprised that DH ate zero corn nuggets. Happy wife, happy life.

Today I forgot my Diclectin so I'm too queasy to crave anything.
ETA: DH says he won't get the sloppy joe mix Bc it will be too hard on my stomach and the OB said BRAT diet!!
My random at the moment: I'm bitter that my fun "you shouldn't do that thread" got completely shit on.

In other news, DH and I started our BRU registry. He went a little trigger happy with the scanner.....
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
