morning sickness

Ive been very sick everyday im at 7 weeks and 3 days. I know its normal to be sick but I feel like this is a little extreme. As soon as i open my eyes i puck to the side of my bed in a buckit and i puck maybe more then 10 times a day. Im not even eating anything or dricking anything because as soon as it gos in it comes right back out not even water helps.. should i try the meds they have for this ? Ive tried cracers and all that other stuff but nothing is working.

Re: morning sickness

  • Yes there are meds. Call your dr.

  • My friend would get sick worse when their blood sugar dropped. Try to snack all day, to keep blood sugar levels stable. A cracker here, a piece of fruit there. It may relieve it a bit, however everyone is different. If your ms is very severe, you may need meds.

  • Oh man! I hope you find a solution and that it passes soon, and that you have a healthy strong baby developing :)

  • Yes you need to call your OB now, not being able to keep anything including fluids down is a concern.

  • It amazes me that instead of calling their doctors for stuff like this, people turn to Internet strangers. Are you seriously telling us that you vomit upwards of 10 times a day, can't hold down food or liquid, and asking if maybe you should try some medication? Really?
    Call your dcotor. Get medication.

  • I'm in the first trimester of my second pregnancy and so far the only way I've been able to keep the nausea at bay is waiting to eat until about 10 or 11am. I take 2 pre natal pills, one at noon and the other at 6pm and a b-complex at noon also. Ginger ginger ginger. Ginger tea, ginger kombuche tea, raw ginger, ginger essential oil mixed with coconut oil and used as a salve placed on bottom of feet or around any lymph nodes. Above all else try to not lie down too much through out the day and get up at a reasonable hour in the morning. All of the time spent horizontal prevents optimal blood flow and encourages nausea. So stay as active as you're able and don't stay in one position for longer than an hour. I'm no doctor, this is just some stuff that has helped me.

WSS! I'd be driving myself to the emergency room if I couldn't get a hold of my doctor.
  • I was this sick and my doctor put me on a medication called Diclegis. I'm 30.3 now and I still take it because my MS never fully went away. Being that sick can really bad for you. Don't feel guilty asking for medicine, it's a life saver.
  • What about the studies that linke anti-nausea drugs to birth defects?
  • Most of the studies are inconclusive/biased at best.

The few 'studies' are really anecdotal or verbal analytical and not real research in the sense of a control group and a research group, never mind a true double blind study.
    Thank God for Raid.
