11 to 16 days late and 2 Negative HPT

We weren't going to start trying for baby #4 until the spring but now I am extremely late! My last cycle was November 29th for the last 2 years i have been 28 day cycle with an occasional 35 and the last time I missed a whole month was when I was pregnant with baby #3!!. I'm going crazy when I was younger missed periods were a celebration not so much anymore!! LOL The waiting is horrible!!

If you get to 60 days, and are in the same predicament, see a doc. Otherwise, yeah, what @mommygrams0730 said.

Maybe you ovulated late or are having an anovulatory cycle. If you his 60+ days with no AF see a doctor.

For some reason I assumed that after 11 days I was just going to miss the month entirely...I felt like I ovulated at the regular time in December and then I felt like it again last week. I guess I should prepare for it to come. It can't just be simple!

Temping allows you to pinpoint ovulation. It takes a lot of the guess work out. But if you're ntnp it's pretty much a guessing/waiting game.

Unfortunately cervical mucus alone doesnt confirm ovulation. When you tttc your last 3 - did you temp?

No I haven't temped I never have; not to say that I wouldn't I guess I just never needed to. My first daughter was a surprise the 2nd we tried for 7 months with no real tools and my 3rd I only had one cycle in between they are 18 months apart.

I'm on mobile so I don't know what your previous posts look like here, just wanted to remind you that the tone of this board is mostly "scientific method" based, the ladies here take their temperatures every day, pee on sticks every day, record things every day. It's hard to empathize with someone going on a hunch, and we certainly can't give you advice or support if you don't do your part. Good luck in your TTC journey.

You can't ovulate twice in the same cycle. Once you ovulate, you will get your period or a positive test 10-16 days later.

I know that you can't ovulate twice, we weren't trying to get pregnant and what I have always associated as ovulating happened but as said previously discharge is not always an indication of ovulation. I never really had any trouble getting pregnant so I never looked into exactly what went into my fertility. I apologize if it seemed insensitive. I was putting the question out there to see if people had experienced something similar. I learned somethings about ovulation. Thank You

Enough with the "never had trouble getting pregnant" and congrats on never "needing to" temp but, this is not the place to humble - brag about your super fertility. If your tests are negative then you are not pregnant at this time.

Just to let you know coming onto a TTGP board talking about how easy it has been for you to get pregnant and that you might be without even trying is not going to go over well. The women of this board are doing everything they can to get pregnant and some are really struggling. Also, many of the women on this board haven't been pregnant before and wouldn't be able to answer your question anyway. If you plan on continuing to try for another I would suggest temping so you know when you ovulated and aren't in this situation again.

Most of the ladies on this board do and have looked a lot into their fertility as unfortunately we don't seem to be getting pregnant easily. So long as you do understand that you are right and this post did come across a little insensitive.

Having said that to offer my opinion - I would say if more than 18 days has passed since you believe you ovulated and if you are getting negative results on HPT then you must not be pregnant and we have to assume you didn't ovulate when you think you did. So from that either you are still waiting to ovulate or you may have an annovulatory cycle and your period will arrive at some point.

If you are interested in learing more about your fertility I would highly recommend a book called Taking Charge of your Fertility. Even if you get pregnany easily...it's an interesting read and good to know.

I didn't realize that the board was only for science based trying to conceive and I honestly thought it was just a board for people trying to get pregnant. I'm sincerely sorry I wasn't trying to brag I spent 7 months trying to get pregnant with my second which I can appreciate is not that long but it was still waiting, hoping and disappointment. What would have been a better board to write this in?

Seriously, though. We don't symptom spot. We don't ask each other if we think we're pregnant. I suggest lurking here. Start charting and use the search function. These types of questions get asked A LOT. Generally posts that are "just looking for experiences" don't go over well.

It really depends on what you're looking for. If it's to share experiences wih those who did get pregnant and compare their experience to yours then I might have to suggest a completely different board like - glow for example.

If you want advise to be a little more factual (but likely more dissapointing) then I'd stick around here. It's not all doom and gloom though, we're actually really nice when you stick around and offer help out too. There is a newbie thread pinned to to top to give you an idea of the tone of this board and seriously...you can learn a lot.

Sarahjkeefe, stick around and lurk a little more. You didn't get your panties in a bunch so that's cool, means you can handle the truth which is nice. Read the newbie threads pinned to the top and offer advice where you can. This is a great, supportive board, but more so when you give your input as well. Good luck on your TTC journey. Also, read the book PP suggested. You will learn more about your body than you ever imagined.

OP, others have provided pretty good advice. I'll just add that if you do stick around, and if your user name is your real name, you should definitely change it. Internet safety is important. Plus, we can talk about some pretty personal stuff on here- better not to have that tied to your real name!

Also, if the picture in your avatar has been posted on any other social media sites, you should change it too. It's pretty easy to do a Google image search to find wherever an image has been used online.

Also, learn about fertility! Your body it's amazing. It's worth learning about how incredible the human body is. Seriously, once you learn what it's actually gaining every month you get such an appreciation for your own body.

If you're on a computer there's a button at the top that looks like a bookmarked (like corner folded down) page, you can copy the image address into that. If you're on mobile, you can type in < img src=imageaddress > just no space between the little pointy parentheses (so computer proficient, I know I am) and the img.

While you can't ovulate two times in one cycle, you *can* gear up to ovulate, not ovulate, and then gear up and actually do it. This could be why you had ewcm when you normally do and then again "about a week ago"
