@kennelchick symptoms I've experienced or read on here: dull headache, tiredness, loss of appetite, moodiness, lots of crying... sounds like a fun recipe, huh? Good luck with the estrogen!
@kennelchick I'm on estrogen since Sunday, been nauseous since Tuesday, cried during a get to know my new boss meeting, not sure when I started the headache, but that one has been on and off. Good thing is I sleep a lot through it.
So I say, "welcome to the club!"
On a happy note: My colleague that is going through the same process has none of the above.
I've just come from the RE.... my lining jumped to 7.1 so we are good to start PIO on Sunday and have my FET on Friday, Jan 15th! Super excited. One more week! How is everyone else? Happy Friday!
@Piperella congrats on the timeline! That is so exciting! I had my first bloodwork done yesterday and am waiting for insurance approval to do an ultrasound (I'm only CD 4).
I am having some dark and twisty thoughts. I'm terrified that when they unfreeze my three little snowflakes that they won't survive. They were frozen on the second day and are only two cells big. They are so small and fragile and there isn't anything I can do to help them survive. Does anyone know about any stats of frozen embryos not surviving?
I have no stats of frozen embryo's @kennelchick, but it only takes one strong one, a little warrior and who says you can't have three of those as your snowflakes! I'll keep my FX for you.
Thanks @tvh1982 . I think the estrogen is making me a little nutty. I did look up survival rates of thawed embryos and they are pretty good. Normally I'm a very logical person, all about numbers science and facts. I don't do well with all this emotional crap. I'm sitting here watching Greys Anatomy, crying because Teddy didn't want Richard to operate on her husband. So not me.
Thank you for the support ladies, it is nice to not be alone!
@kennelchick my estrogen makes me super moody and a little nauseous. My doctor's office says there's a 25% chance that not all will survive the thaw. Mine are 3 day Olds and I worry about them as well. Are you doing a day 3 FET?
Sorry I haven't posted in a while been crazy! Went to RE today and my lining wasn't where they wanted so I'm being pushed from a Tuesday transfer to a Thursday or Friday. Oh well... just a few more days! Thinking of you all!
@kennelchick....,Gotcha, my doctor won't freeze anything until Day 6 when it's definitely achieved blastocyst status, and if it looks like none will go to day 6 he will do a fresh transfer on Day 3. They kept me on Progesterone inserts until Day 5 when we knew everything was on track for freezing, in case I had to do a fresh transfer.
It's hard to keep up with where everyone is. but just want to say congrats to all those who had a transfer in the last week and good luck to everyone who has one coming up this week! For those of you worrying about thaw survival, something like 97-98% survive, so compared to everything you have been through, that's a very minor worry. FX and sticky thoughts for all!
@Jaqcap17 I asked hubbs what the Dr said (I'm really surprised he was listening so closely. I keep forgetting that just because he doesn't ask a lot of questions that he isn't listening just as intently as I am) and elapse they already knew that all my embryos were going to be frozen they decided to freeze on day two.
@erinscaren thank you for the input of survival rates! DH and I always joke that of course what can go wrong will go wrong with us (not just with fertility, with basically everything because history supports the theory) so there is a big part of me that worries about the thawing process.
This estrogen is kicking my ass. Headache all day, wicked nausea and little patience. I worked a 12hr shift today and the unit was wicked hot, so I was crankier than usual. My coworkers definitely notice that I had almost zero compassion for a patient that was super whinny. Only temporary, right?
OK everyone...who is doing PIO shots?!? I started mine on 12/31. They were OK for about a week but now they are just killer. They hurt more and more!!! I'm also having MAJOR soreness in the boobies. Anyone else having these issues?
Hi everyone! Just wanted to get back in the loop! My clinic only does day 6 freezing as well. @Jaqcap17 I haven't started POI this round yet but when I did it it really helped to ice before (just for a minute) and then I would rub the syringe between my hands to kind of warm up the shot. I would massage the spot a little too after I injected and not sit for 10 minutes. Sometimes I would lay on a heating pad for a lil and it felt amazing! Seemed to help. Also I think the higher you do the shot helps, google the image - intramuscular injection diagram ivf Hang in there & lots of luck! My tentative transfer is 1/22 -Back in on Tuesday for BW/US @kennelchick started Estrace 6 days ago ... Hot ..Little patience ..stuffy Headache and eating like crazy...trying to exercise to counteract the eating lol but overall feel ok.. *also is it cool to have sex during this stage on Estrace waiting for retrieval? (prob won't but just incase lol- since its been forever .. Feel weird to ask nurse lol Lots of luck everyone!!! Praying for all of us!!!!!! Trying to relax!!!!!!!
@purepositivity We were told we can have sex whenever as long as we use protection. It can get a little messy if you're having to do any vagnially inserted medications, but I refuse to let infertility ruin our sex life During IVF it was uncomfortable toward the end, but waiting for FET everything is normal.

@takethelongway thank you, DH will be happy!! I saw that our FETs are super close! Does your clinic recommend bed rest? Mine doesn't and last two times I didn't rest.... I'm thinking about resting this time to change things up! And did the RE put you on baby aspirin for specific reason? Or just doing on your own?
@purepositivity I'm not sure if I'll be in bed rest for the day of transfer, but I am planning on doing it myself regardless of what RE says. I'm on the baby aspirin per their request. I think it's supposed to help with implantation and keeping the lining thick. I didn't really ask, just went along with it. I love my RE and nurse so I trust them 100%.
When's your FET? I'm glad I have a buddy

Sluggish uterus over here. Been on estrogen since 12/28 and went for my US today, I'm just at a tad over 5mm. Increase in meds and will go for another US toward the end of the week. Looking like it's gonna be almost 2 more weeks for my transfer.
Hi @erinscaren, sorry to hear it's going slow. But don't give up hope. Slow is still moving forward! Sending you lots of patience for the extra wait you have to do. x
@takethelongway I have a tentative FET date of 1/22! Should know more tomorrow going back in for BW/US fx! @erinscaren hopefully the increase in meds will get things moving quickly! Hang in there... You seem like ur on the right track!
@erinscaren I'm sorry that your uterus is taking its time.
@tvh1982 how are things going across the ocean for you? (I'm in NY!)
I'm set for a transfer this Thursday! So excited just did my first PIO injection of this round and freaked out a little bit because my DH put it in like he was throwing a dart at a dartboard! LOL But it was ok.. cheek is a little sore but not too bad! Can't wait to see my two little snowflakes on Thursday!
@kennelchick when is your transfer it seems like you and I are the only ones who don't have 5 or 6 day old snowflakes?
@ChristinaV2015 I'm not sure when my transfer will be. I've been on estrogen for almost a week. They said they would call me when they had insurance approval, but I'm going to call tomorrow and see where I stand. I'm so impatient!
@erinscaren I'm sorry the uterus is taking its sweet time. Waiting is the worst!
@ChristinaV2015 I'm so excited for you on Thursday! We are only going to be a day apart. Tonight is day 2 of PIO.. not as bad as I thought doing the shot, but my butt is a bit sore when sitting at a desk all day. I kept thinking... if I do end up with a BFP, I'll have 83 more of these shots to go.
I'll have a new US this afternoon, and will know more tomorrow as another clinic will decide (but I'll get a rough outlining from the clinic here) I hope all is well with the lining. Starting to get discomfort from my ovaries, so don't hope suddenly my body decided to grow an egg!
GL ladies, and sending lots of baby dust your ways!
Thanks girls, I really wasn't too bothered by the news of slowness this time. It gives me a little more time to run and work out and try and get my body back to something I don't despise looking at. As long as it will get there, I'm content to wait a couple more weeks. That's a big difference for me between my fresh and frozen cycle, I'm much more at ease this time.
@purepositivity@takethelongway If I am at an acceptable thickness next monday, my transfer will probably be right around you girls.
Just went in for mid cycle u/s this morning and lining is looking great! Start my PIO tonight and FET is scheduled for Monday the 18th at 3:15pm. Felt good to take a little time off for the holidays but we're excited to get this show on the road again! @tvh1982 your my transfer buddy, GL!
I had to google what PIO meant, I've seen it a few times, but couldn't figure it out. Progesterone in oil... must admit I'm glad mine aren't injections!
I had a lining check today and I'm only at 4.9. RE is having me use four patches every other day (starting today) and go in again on Friday for another check. I have Estrace too so maybe I'll have to add that in if my lining doesn't cooperate on Friday. Just hoping I'll stay on track for the 1/25 date.
Best of luck to all of you ladies this week and next! It's so exciting to finally be here!

So I thought that an FET cycle is supposed to be easier for us all but I'm finding that some of my side effects are terrible. Yesterday I started on 3 estrace pills/2x a day, doxycycline /2x a day, medrol/4x a day, 1 baby aspirin per night, PIO shot per night plus all of my vitamins. It's so many pills. I have a headache, I'm so tired and nauseous like whoa! Oh not to mention hyper emotional because my transfer is tomorrow. I don't mean to sound whiny because I'll get through it for my babies but is anyone else having such side effects?
@Piperella I can't believe we're on a days away! When is your beta? Mine is the 25th!
I'm so excited and hopeful for all of us... we're all so close!
@ChristinaV2015 I have a horrible, constant headache from the estrogen patches. And probably from the Lupron too. But it is not fun. I'm not looking forward to starting PIO or probably adding Estrace.

@ChristinaV2015 the meds get a little crazy leading up to the fet. I've been doing PIO(2cc) at night, medrol (16mg), extrace 3x a day, and my vitamins. Not that I like shots, but I'm tired of popping pills. I totally get the hyper emotional bit. I keep asking dh if it's Friday morning, yet. I have my beta on the 26th. I don't want to symptom spot or take early tests, but I'm so excited and anxious to be pregnant I just want to know as soon as possible. I've never seen a positive pregnancy test before. I find out sometime today what time my transfer is. Are you on be dress afterwards? I know that REs give different advice. I will be on be dress the first day and then taking it pretty relaxing the following two days.
As a random aside, had anyone else looked at pregnancy due dates based on your transfer date? I cracked up over it because it says I'm over 2 weeks pregnant and the embryo isn't even inside me yet. I get the science behind it, I just find it amusing. My husband now jokes that I shouldn't be cleaning the house or lifting things in my condition..lol. I go with it if it means he does more chores.
I think @Jaqcap17 has her beta on the 15th! I want to type more to you other ladies but I find it difficult on my phone. Will write more when I get home.
Definitely side effects, been nauseous for a week now, headache comes and go and am extremely tired. Must admit I am on way less medication as you guys. Just estrogen since CD3 and now also progesterone. None injections. Which makes it less stressful I believe.
I did check for my due date @piperella, today actually. Exactly 2 weeks pregnant, while my snowflake is still frozen My due date will be on my mums bday, would be a lovely present!
@tvh1982 I don't think it means anything other than its the first blood test you take from a doctor's office to measure hcg levels. I think we should all get nap breaks although I may not get back up.
