Sushi and a greygoose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives....Yummmmm!
I second this! I can't wait to have a Grey Goose Dirty Martini with Olives. Shaken and not stirred so I get the little ice chips in it. Oh man, my mouth is watering!!!
Am I the only one who will be glad to eat ALL of the cafeteria food? haha my stomach is so tiny right now I just want my appetite! And I tend to not mind the hospital food. Once I'm home though I'll hope for a dinner out for sushi!
I wanted starbucks and brueggars (I like deli ham on my bagel) but ended up ordering room service because I was starving and that was a quicker option! Ended up with a hummus roast beef sandwich and potato chips... For hospital food it was delicious!
My favorite sushi place makes the most amazing specialty rolls and I want any/all of them and the biggest Coke that can be found. I've been pretty good about what you're "supposed" to stay away from so I deserve a reward of raw fish and caffeine.
I have been eating pretty much whatever I want throughout my pregnancy so there isn't anything I am really missing and can't wait to eat. But I plan to order Jimmy Johns after delivery because it is right down the street and I know they will have my sandwich to me within 10 minutes, way faster than getting any food from the hospital!
Im not a huge fan of cold sandwiches and I don't eat sushi because I'm scared of parasites lol... I second whoever said diet coke! I'll probably have my husband bring in a guilty pleasure meal from the outside but after that, I'll probably want to start losing weight.

I can't decide between grey goose or Hendrick's gin martini, but definitely dirty and ice cold. Hoping my home birth works out so I can order one from SO after a feed haha
Possibly dumb FTM question here, but do you have to wait a certain amount of time before eating after a vaginal delivery? I know you do with a c section, but I hadn't heard anything specific for a vaginal delivery. I'm assuming I'll be pretty hungry after not eating during labor!

No you shouldn't have to wait to eat at all after a vaginal delivery. I hadn't eaten in about 36 when my son was born and the L&D nurses knew that. They ordered me food while I was pushing so that as soon as I was done I would have food. hospital pancakes never tasted so good!
@Achae I also have to time when I ate and when I can eat again, and my portion sizes are depressingly small. So I'm having Chinese food and probably a few hours later Cheesecake factory and a slice of the S'mores cheesecake.
Re: First meal post delivery
- Something SO spicy I literally can't even (doctor confirmed heartburn stops when placenta is gone, YAAAAAAAY)
- All the sashimi in the world
- The biggest, baddest, deli sub (even though I've had some deli meat here and there, the guilt-free piece is appealing)
- So much unpasteurized fancy cheese
Anyone tried these and know how accurate they are? I can't wait to drink and heard these are good to use to ensure no transfer to baby.
