Wanting a girl because they're cuter/the outfits are cuter/they're more fun to dress. I have so many eyerolls for that.
Not that it's the point AT ALL, but in the boys-are-adorable column was my three year old student yesterday who was sitting by his cubby holding his Santa sock in his hand making up a song about how beautiful it was. In his squeaky little voice. I died from cuteness.

Adorable. My 3rd graders, on the other hand, decided to torture the poor boy who was subbing for the very first time yesterday. I had meetings all day so I only saw them as I was leaving. First, they spent the day asking him if he had diarrhea. Then, they convinced him to go through my closets, find a bag of Doritos, and hand them out as snack instead of the container of pretzel sticks clearly sitting out. At the end of the day, they told him they'd rather draw pictures than do silent reading. So I came in to find them with paper, markers, and scissors everywhere during silent reading time. I had to have a talk with them about why it's not ok to take advantage of people who don't know better. They played that poor boy and they played him hard.

Umm I dress my little guy up. I totally agree with you! And now an adorable dressed up pic of my little boy. It is an older picture because getting pictures now is hard. See you can dress up boys too!

Minor bitch: I just went to the BRU website to start a registry and it took FOR EVER. I don't know what the problem was but somehow I ended up creating three registries.
Also, I have to dress up for DH's Army "night out" tonight. Except that they aren't taking us out, they are just having a catered dinner at the armory and we have to dress up. Part of me is a little happy at the opportunity to get DH dressed up and put on a dress myself, especially with these giant pregnant boobs, but the other part says my fleece sweats and no bra are SO much better. At least maybe I can get some nice pictures out of it!
My waist has gained four inches, and the line around my belly button has gained five, but I am officially still down about a pound from when I conceived. And, I did not have major MS, I only threw up once! I can't fit in any of my clothing and now I'm 14+2, I feel like the scale should reflect my size better...

@erin7264 Manditory fun time is awful, Manditory family fun time is worse. This might just be because I have to spend all of my time at these things dodging the FRG.
@ridenrunmomma I'm up in waist size and still a few pounds shy of my pre-pregnancy weight. My midwife isn't worried about it, I'm sure I'll catch up this trimester now that the intense hunger has set in!
@Nerdchild fortunately for me, his unit doesn't have much in the way of an FRG, and he's super anti-social so he basically just herds his team of young bucks around and does his best not to talk to anyone. Since I'm pregnant and he made the bone-headed but admirable move of volunteering to NOT drink with me for the entire 9 months, we're basically going to spend the night acting as babysitters and making sure his team doesn't get too deep into the Grog bowl. Or at least has a way home/place to stay if they do.
He sure does look pretty all dressed up though. I'm really only dreading having to do something fancy with my hair, it's so exhausting!
@RideNRunMomma, I'm up 6lb and I refuse to put a tape measure to my body. But I'm at least a size up and have been eyeballing the maternity clothes at 14+5 with a blump!
Minor bitch but why start threads on questions one could easily look up? Or post in the randoms thread?! It makes me want to gif party those threads...

But....but.....who else can I turn to when I need to find out what purple vagina goo means? Does it mean my baby will be a wizard?!

Don't you know off the top of your head how much caffeine is in all the things?!
@Nerdchild and @ButterMyBiscuit I'm about to start giving rediculous answers instead of cordial annoyed ones....
If you got green goo coming out of you it means your child is a slime monster.
There is 10000mg of caffeine in sweet tea and if you drink it your child will become an adrenaline junkie
If you eat deli meat your child will have 1 eye
If you use an Doppler but then ask if it is safe after sorry no one can fix that your just rediculous
And if anyone else posts a stupid thread that is easily a random thread question or doesn't use the search function or use you know common sense I will special snowflake you all day everyday
I've had a terrible cold since Tuesday and not related to that, none of my clothes fit Gegting dressed for work is getting harder and harder. Although since it's Saturday I'll be in sweats for the next 48 hours but I feel like I need to go buy some work maternity clothes but I'm still sick and don't want to leave the house. Life is so hard.
@RideNRunMomma I'm in the same boat, but down 3 lbs at 14w5d. It'll happen. From everything I've read and heard, people gain at different rates and at different times.
@elenabrentand @rakel88I'm hoping I start to catch up. I didn't lose any at all, but I haven't gained, and I was pretty small to begin with. I'm up 4-5 pants sizes and 4 bra sizes and I work out frequently. So I'm not worried yet, but starting to keep it in the back of my head. I see my midwife this coming Wednesday, and we'll see what she has to say. I eat constantly, and I love to eat, but I really don't like high fat foods whether it's "good" or "bad" fats. But I feel like with as big as I feel/look, it's really weird to not have gained.

@RideNRunMomma yea I definitely hear what you're saying. I'm also very active and besides some severe ice cream cravings, I've been eating the same, healthy way since finding out. I've worn maternity pants a few times cause my normal stuff isn't as comfortable, so my body is obviously changing despite my weight staying the same. My husband's cousin is due in a month and has gained a total of 8 lbs, while her sister gained close to 50 with her baby a few months back, so again it's totally individual and your activity level is definitely going to be a huge factor. I think as long as baby is growing as it should, all is good

I agree with what you are saying 100%. My DS is the cutest little guy I ever saw(I may be a little biased )... but at the same time I do have to say my biggest annoyance is that it is WAY harder to find cute clothes for him then for a girl. I kinda hate shopping for special occasion clothes for him because I walk past aisles and aisles of adorable girls clothes and find a few things that will work for DS. But with that said I would never never never wish for a girl just for the sake of dressing her. (I'm thinking most of these people are either FTM's or only mom's to girls, because once you hold that little baby, no matter the sex, none of that matters for a second)
Here to bitch about not having anything to wear. I'm a plus-size girl who's been looking for some maternity pants (besides leggings, which I basically live in) and can't find any in my size that aren't frumpy or won't make my look my grandma. UGH.
@maddmama I felt so bad for the poor guy. He was like, "I didn't really know what to say..." I said, "You say, 'No, and that's a weirdo thing to ask a teacher. Stop being gross."
@elenabrent that's so weird to me that you said that, because all my life I've thought about how much more I like boys clothes than girl clothes. I will probably put my girl in a couple of boys clothes that can work both ways because I just can't handle sparkles, 1000 shades of pink, and animal print on almost everything haha. That's all I've been seeing at least ... I know there are super cute girls clothes out there that don't go over the top, but I also think they are hard to find. Now if I have a daughter and she grows older and decides she loves super girlie clothes so be it! That's fine as long as she's happy! Now with all of that being said, the fact that I like boys clothes more does not make me want a boy more at all. I can honestly say I'll be extremely happy with either.
I need to bitch about the pharmacy that I picked my husband's prescriptions up at. My husband woke up about a hour after we went to bed in bad pain so we spent the night in the ER and found out he has a kidney stone. I was running on no sleep and went to pick up his pain meds and the lady at the counter tried to charge me $90 for someone else's prescriptions and then proceeded to try to GIVE ME SOMEONE ELSE'S PRESCRIPTIONS after I pointed out the initial mistake. Ever hear of HIPPA, lady? Get your life together. I still think I'm going to call and report her because that is serious but I'm going to wait until I've slept so I know I'm thinking clearly lol
Why doesn't my husband understand that pizza can be eaten several times a week?!? "What do you want for lunch?" "Pizza" "we had that yesterday".....and???

I've always felt like special occasion girl clothes are cuter (or maybe easier to find) and day to day boys clothes are cuter. My kid is either going to be over dressed daily or under dressed when it counts depending on their sex.
My roommate is being a real twatface and I feel like punching her. Are you ever so annoyed at someone that just the thought of them makes you want to move to another country and change your identity?
My capacity for the dramatic has only increased with pregnancy.
@elldel I was suffering in all my clothes up until two days ago (I'm 15 weeks now) when I discovered maternity pants at goodwill. Seriously I bought four pairs, two of them still with tags on, for like six bucks a pair. And I am now in heaven. Also, I am a curvy one to begin with and they had a pretty good selection size wise.

Haha! I LOVE sparkles, pink and animal print. That's about all DD wears. I'm very picky with clothes, even for DS. We are having another girl this time so I'm excited that I can reuse some of the stuff from DD. DS on the other hand was bummed about not having a brother.
I totally get the desire to dress any baby up in cute clothes, and girls clothes are generally more prolific than boys clothes. What I DON'T get is saying "I was disappointed it was a boy because I was excited about dressing up a cute little girl." Humans are incredibly complex creatures and so much more than the clothes you can put on their bodies.

This. So the only reason you wanted a child with a vagina/penis was because of clothing? Very weird, superficial and vain.
I have two child of the same sex. It would be totally cool to have a 3rd one, hey, I grt to reuse stuff and I adore my kids. If this baby is the other sex, cool, I grt to experience being a mom to THAT sex.
I will not be hurt or disappointed if I have a XX or XY in my uterus right now.
My big complaint this weekend is my back. I woke up with a kink in my neck, went to work because it's my last day before a luxiourus week on my couch and now the kink had turned into total back agony. I'm on the subway heading home in tears it hurts so bad. Edit autocorrect is not my friend

I wanted a milkshake today so I had one and it was delicious. Now, 3 hours later, I'm miserable with stomach cramps and pain. Stupid lactose intolerance! usually I can do the occasional milkshake but apparently not today.

I'm lactose intolerant EXCEPT for when I'm pregnant. Usually I do almond milk but when I'm pregnant I crave straight up whole milk. It's so weird!

I am right there with you! Hit or miss if I can handle ice cream/etc. although, sometimes it does help on the constipation front for me. (Silver lining)
@juliagulia38 haha aw poor little guy. I'm just more of the tomboy type, so anything super girlie is so foreign to me haha. I will of course do anything my little babe wants, though
Be forewarned of whatever I need to put here to tell people that you may not like this post etc etc: If my husband makes one more reference to his penis today I am going to hit him. Immaturity in general seems to be one of my instantly will fight you triggers this pregnancy, (one of my best friends is very "young" and I swear from the week I found out I was pregnant I just can not stand her. No explanation .) Allllll day long ANYTHING I say turns into a penis/bj reference. I'm hungry. Oh I have some meat you can suck on baby. Can you help me with this? Can you help me with my penis? Omg and the dry humping...any time I walk by he's grabbing me and "humping" me before smacking my ass and walking away. So clearly the man wants sex but seriously after the 50th time telling him that I don't appreciate him being so crass and that he's annoying me? Yeah hes not getting any. He DID get me skittles though so I can't be too mad. Until he makes another penis reference and then he's back on the no sex for you list.
@afrazer521 Blegh, I'm annoyed for you. My DH has been super annoying today too... It's like a cry for attention... He knows it's annoying me but continues anyway just so I'll give him some attention. Maybe he's feeling ignored or left out?? Trying to give hubs the benefit of the doubt on this one... But yea, I'd be super annoyed too.
@afrazer521 yay for skittles but ugh I would hate the constant innuendos and being man handled so not appealing and feeling like a piece of meat ugh is be annoyed too!
Also I have the same thing for a friend of mine so don't worry! Immaturity is a big turn off to me lately as well! Hope your husband figures out how to get his ish together soon!
I really have no complaints, my biggest being that my hips are freaking killing me today and I've been limping around all night. I mainly come to these for people like @Nerdchild@ButterMyBiscuit and @Lindsayleigh1989. I thoroughly enjoy when you vent because it's all of my thoughts without me saying it. Thanks for providing me entertainment, always
